Everyone is talking about "erreday" but is nobody gonna mention the variations of Ignis's VA saying "noct"

I was set on playing the game in Japanese but after watching Kingsglaive in English and seeing these voice actors I actually want to play it in English now
"Erryday" gets me errytime.
I wish I could voice act 😳 I always like, play in my own fantasy at night and whisper everything I say, even if some of the things I say are painful, I find it fun 😊 I also sometimes use it to cope with things, if only I was older them 14, id do so much voice acting if I could

I loved this voice cast, although, after watching Kingsglaive, it will sound awkward for me not to hear Ned Stark in King Regis and Cersei in Luna. they fit those characters so damm well...

Adam Croasdell is so like ignis, the character. He's grounded and smart but not at all cocky in attitude.
They should have used his natural accent though, it's beautiful, Ignis is just TOO MUCH xD recipehhhhh

I can't wait to hear Noct say "erryday" in the game. Also, Ardyn's voice actor is brilliant. You can tell he's a master of his craft, but at the same time, he has fun and his talent comes effortlessly.

Darin De Paul is definitely one of those VA's that looks like he legitimately enjoys voicing his given character, which makes me all the more excited to hear what he's gotta say in-game.

They listen to the Japanese dub because they don't understand it and so they can't pick up on the flaws in it. They understand English, so they know what's flawed. Many times, the Japanese dub is very flawed while the English one is good, but people will choose Japanese because they can't pick up on the flaws, and through a minor placebo effect, they think it's perfect.
I love your comment Harsha! It should be everywhere! A Japanese friend of mine also told me that Japanese VAs tend to over-react emotions especially in anime & videogames. lol
My favorite thing along those lines is when the directer of FFXIV was responding to English fans because a lot of people were complaining about the dub and how they felt the JP VA was better. And his response was basically, "That's really interesting, because the JP community is complaining about the opposite problem."

Only when you avoid squeaky Japanese voices like DBZ's horrid Voice acting. but I'd say the JPN voices aren't even bad, but yeah the English cast has way more character.

I don't think the dub's all that great in general tbh, though I don't think it's god awful either. It was good for the time, sure, but dubs have significantly improved since then.
But yeah, that scene will forever turn off some people despite it being on purpose or not. XD

I have a feeling that he has a small role in all this. Like, someone else is pulling the strings. They're trying really hard to keep the story under wraps, doesn't make sense to constantly show off the main villain like this. Though, I could be wrong.

God, I hope the "erryday" is in the final cut; I was DYING.
This was the most unpolished, felt rushed, imperfect game that I *absolutely* loved. The plot may have been a bit of a mess but the voice acting was superb. And the game was just gorgeous to look at.

I'm fine with all of the main cast. The only one that kinda feels a bit much is Gladio and his extremely gruff voice but I have a feeling I'll get used to that.
A gruff voice doesn't suit the buff member of the party? I always expected Gladio's voice to be gruff just based off of his physique.

all I've got to say is that "erryday" line better end up in the game, even if it's a secret interaction that you need to do specific things to get. it'd be a funny Easter egg.
on a side note, the voice cast is unbelievable for this game. when you see all the trailers and everything, the voices fit so well and it just looks so natural. I think the fact that the voices are never talked about and underappreciated is really a testament to that because it's so easy to forget that there's a voice actor making these characters come to life because it's just "that" good, it's like the characters are real people. So my biggest heartfelt gratitude to each and every choice actor in this game for really doing my favorite game series, and such a long awaited and anticipated game, such a great justice.

Ardyn's voice is amazing, and I agree with Mr. De Paul that his voice is not fit to be so deep. I love his voice so much, it's so him. Mr. De Paul makes love Ardyn even more :p
I also love Ignis' voice, so sexy with that British accent. Prompto's voice also so good, so cheerful but not too much. Noct also good, really expressing his cool-shy personality. While Gladio, his voice is also good. No complain so far for those four companions :D
Well, I think that the English VA really pulled it off as their characters. They work hard, and put their heart into it. Though, doesn't mean the other dubs--like JP--is bad. They sounds good too.
I usually don't really mind about dubs in the game, I only give 45% attention to it. I mean, I don't mind if it's English or Japan so long the game is fun, but XV makes me put 98% attention to it.
I love how SE show the efforts of the VA, showing us their hard work for the game. I really appreciate it. Amazing job, everyone! #applause
Seriously impressed with the level of voice acting they are bringing to the game. A lot of voice acting I have seen lately from other games has been almost cringe worthy

Ok 2021 and I'm here to confess:
I waited for FF13 Versus for almost 10 years (since that E3 trailer with coming soon on PS3)
When I saw FFXV on 2017 I told myself Square Enix lied to us. I'll never play this game. It sucks! It's not what I was waiting for!
Fast forward in Quarantine days, I stuck at home for about 1 year and half and every night I play FFXV. Every night I ride Regalia and explore the world with fellow chocobros.
Story had lots of lacks but I'm talking about the post game. The beautiful details in this game and this game has definitely the best AI characters for party members.
This game motivated me to learn 3d game animation. I'm not native but it was my dream to become video game voice actor EXACTLY since I played FFX and heard Lulu and Yuna's voices. I know I have no chance in voice acting industry and I'm too old to start a new journey but... who knows? Life is full of surprises!
So thank you Square Enix. Thank you everyone. Your game saved me during quarantine.

Both casts are great (with the exception of Cidney's English voice...sorry, not sorry), and I'll be playing in English, but I don't go bitching about other people's preferences. Grow up, already.

Prompto makes a lot of jokes in the car. Most of the time, I think, the bottom of the joke is Noctis... as he normally looks a little upset when gladious and prompto laughs. Ignis.. well, he's still enjoying that ebony coffee and he got the whole Regalia to entertain.
Adam Croasdell seems like a really cool bloke, but I kind of wish he just used his regular voice for Ignis rather than putting on a slightly exaggerated, haughty accent.
Matt Mercer as Cor sounds pitchshifted or something. The voice work for Cor is good, but looking at and hearing Matt Mercer makes it sound unnatural or something.
Gladiolus, as I've said before elsewhere, constantly sounds like he's doing a voice over for an action film trailer - sounds really unnatural and jarring.
But I know these guys are good at what they do and are mostly just doing what the director tells them to, so really I blame the director.
Watching the new TGS trailer, the Japanese voices fit really well - the facial animations were clearly designed with Japanese, and with the performance of the Japanese voice actors, in mind. I usually play these kinds of games dubbed, but I'm not sure which I'll choose for this one.
Also that erryday thing is cringey as hell. I really hope that doesn't make the cut.
