i had my cool sculpting done on my upper are, bra fat and upper flanks. it is only 2 weeks and i see tremendous results already. i cant wait for 3 months to see the full results. All you need to do is to go to a certified clinic and get your procedure done. it is worth the money.

I had the same concerns about the Real Self reviews before booking my CoolSculpting procedure, however after really reading the reviews I saw that the people who were disappointed with their results were people that my plastic surgeon would not have recommended this procedure to. Either their fat was not the pinchable kind, or they'd had multiple children and had zero skin elasticity. I'm 2 weeks post on my upper and lower abs and 1 week post on the flanks. Can't wait to see results!
Melissa Corbesato, good job! That's terrific. It sounds like you were properly screened so you can expect a nice result. You can see the results as early as 4 weeks but usually take 3 months. Rohit Singh No, unfortunately hard bloated distended stomachs are usually a result of visceral fat. The answer for that is diet and exercise. I know it is certainly easier said than done, but if you are interested I have multiple nutritionists working at my office whom I oversee. We are leaders in the HCG diet, we were written up in the NY times and a few other magazines, interviewed by the Dr. Oz show, etc. As for your scar tissue concern from previous liposuction, not much really helps. If it is soon after liposuction massage with ultrasound can help but old scar tissue does not respond too well. DrBfixin You didnt reply to my comment 1st/ on Cool Sculting and it's disastrous results. I also had my thighs done. It stretched that area as well to allow for fatty tissue to form in that area. Thinking back I really didn't need this procedure. I had nice legs. Always athletic and through the Army 4 mile run(s).. too bad unable to show you pictures. The place I went to did not discourage me from doing so. I must now have a lateral thigh surgery by a board certified plastic surgeon. This procedure also caused nerve damage and I have pain sitting. Cool Schulting has disastrous results. Why don't you admit it? Please people BEWARD!!
I was diagnosed with Lymphadema/lipodema 14 mth ago and this caused 100 lbs weight gain in 8 months from the defective cells and then the gave me the wrong pump which caused the fluid to abdomen tissue and now large fat in the belly !

I work out at the gym everyday always had the little round spot in the middle of my stomach still does to this day and they told me I was a very good candidate since I work out and eat healthy. so they just told me it just don't work sometimes on some people this was here in Panama City Florida Dermatology
i obviously didnt do the treatment or have i ever seen you but when the machine is placed on and the suction device applied, there is a metal bar running across the middle. if the skin being pulled in is beyond the metal bar and there is fat there, it should work. Maybe the 'skin draw' wasnt that good or maybe that spot is mostly skin? sorry you had a bad experience in florida.

I have really been concidering this. I have been skinny all my life and now I have finally put weight on. If I diet I will loose what little bit of meat I have. Problem is I am going through menapause so my flat stomach looks like I am 6 months pregnant. Would this work for me? I definitely can pinch a lot of soft skin YUK!

Hi doctor, can this work on people that have hanging skin after loosing weight in the tummy area.
Not so good for this. The only way to get rid of loose skin is to surgically remove it.
Question ! If one has a cold rush machine and if one was to use every other day on probmaic areas .. for cold sculpting ... wht is your advice for amount of time and how cold ... does it need to be .
Normally I exercise , however I've had many injuries and gained wait in areas I don't want fat in .. I eat plant based foods and smooths

Also after my first treatment, I experienced pain and discomfort, quite a bit, for several weeks-- and this pain etc all went away-- eventually. Is it possible to damage the area and therefore have the pain permanently? ( I presume this pain came from nerve endings)?
+sc b 1. it can work in the same area again. If you have gained significant amounts of weight since your last treatment if the area you are treating again is still fat, the fat you have gained may be visceral now. New fat won't grow in the area you have had treated. If this is the case, the results may not be as impressive as you hope for. 2. after over 2 million treatments there has never been a report of permanent nerve damage. Yes, it did come from nerve endings. this pain sometimes happens ,most commonly around the 3rd week. you should not take nsaids (advil, motrin, etc), just tylenol and you may need Gabapentin (neurontin), which is a medicine that helps heal nerve injury (you need a script for that). The inflammatory process helps break down the fat. If you take an nsaid, you will blunt the inflammatory process and have a lesser cosmetic result. depending on the amount you may require an incision to remove it (tummy tuck, brachiopexy, inner thigh lift) or if it is minimal something like j plasma may work well

+fabiola damis It is better on thinner people but it works on anyone with soft 'pinchable' fat. The fat cells do not grow back. There are fat cells that remain in the area (it doesn't kill all the fat) and they can grow in size but not number. If you are fit by eating right and exercising it will maintain and even improve your results. Non surgical cold lasers are dependant on diet and exercise. Coolsculpting is not .
I have lost a lot of weight and I was wondering if this helps with tightening the abs section as I have some loose skin there
+Pat Bendall Sorry Pat. This will not tighten skin alone. If it's a little bit of skin, you can try non surgical things like skin tyte. The results are ok. Nothing really compares to the results of a tummy tuck :)

+Anna Fleming it really depends how many areas. When you have your consultation it it easier to figure that out. The first treatment area is $750, second $750 then the proces comes down. I had 2 treatments on myself but we do have some who get 8-10 for a 'treatment to tranformation'. Dear Cameo Surgery Doctor, I had two rounds of Coolsculpting in my tummy and one in my inner thighs. I am naturally a small person but I have these two areas of concern. I saw a small change in my tummy after the first treatment. The next one was unimpressive and I have not seen any changes in my inner thighs at all. It's already been over two months. I have noticed, though, that I am putting some fat in areas I never had a problem with before like the love handles. I wonder if because the fat cells are killed, now the fat is migrating to another area that was never a problem. Obviously the fat has to be stored somewhere. I am 5 feet tall and weight 116 pounds. My diet is light. I had all the treatments at a reputable Coolsculpting Clinic in Toronto. Overall, I am not highly impressed with the final results. They are not dramatic as I thought they'd be. I still have bulge. I'd appreciate your comments.

Yes most likely you are depositing fat elsewhere. It's hard to say without ever seeing you or treating you. But everything you state is reasonable. As long as you maintain your weight you shouldn't gain more fat.

I've had the coolsculpting done and it did not work it cost me 5200.and there are no results except my stomach looks deformed the tech did the procedure again at no charge and still no results was told they would keep doing until I got results I was looking for when I went yesterday they said she no longer worked there cause I was not the only patient that she did more than once at no charge so that tells me that Dr. Amy Brenner office don't know how to do this I feel I should get at least half my money back but they want me to get treatment again and pay more money not sure what I should do all I wanted was to be able to wear my clothes and not be self conscious about my stomach I have had 2surgeries on my lower stomach which prevents me from being able to tighten I would never recommend for their office to do this to anyone

I had my consultation today. I lost 85 lbs on my own. I also work out but now i have a pouch. I am unsure that this will be effective for me due to my weight loss. I have good skin elasticity, but I was debating on coolsculpting vs. sonabella. How do I know if i am a good candidate? i feel like the representative talked to me less about the results that I will have vs. her resume. Can you clarify what an "ideal" candidate would be?
+Nicole Conley Absolutely. Firstly, congratulations on your weight loss, that is fantastic. Secondly, it is hard to say without a physical exam. It is important to know if you have had children, any hernias, if the remaining tissue is skin more than fat. With the loss of that much weight, I am guessing you probably have some loose skin. Are the results guaranteed somehow? I have found that often these new treatments are unpredictable and end up being quite expensive since they require several treatments. I don't care about it being non invasive and no downtime I prefer having a a one shot traditional lipo with immediate measurable results as opposed to a very low 20% reduction of fat over 3 months...
Here in Canada, a board certified plastic surgeon charges $8,000 taxes in for stomach , love handles and chin. And you are done.
You mentioned chin would be $1000. Is that with just one treatment ? Or can it require more than one?

+Girl Wednesday $1000 is the price for coolsculpting of the neck for one treatment. Most people need 1-2. That price you were was quoted is pretty fair (hard to say without seeing you). The results are not guaranteed but I have not met a 'non responder' yet. It sounds like your desires may be better met with lipo. The one thing that I have seen with lipo vs coolsculpting is skin retraction. With lipo a lot of fat comes out quickly. This does not allow the skin to rebound very well. Coolsculpting degrades the fat slowly so we see good skin reaction. I know people with Smart lipo claim their is skin reaction. There is no histological (microscopic) evidence of skin tightening in any research papers. As a result of burning the underside of the skin the skin does pull back a little. There is a risk of creating a burn on the skin. Make sure you ask about this on your consultation. I think you gave me another idea for a video. Thanks. Good luck. Stay warm my northern friend.
Girl Wednesday , I have lost 20 pounds and I am working on losing about 10 more. I am not upset the weight I am now, but hate the belly fat I have. I can not do a lot of excerise because I have neuropathy in my left leg and both feet. I spend a lot of time getting around by wheel chair. I did a consultation with my dermatologist and she is quoting me $4,000 for my treatment. +Jessica Ascencio Great question. Forever. We actually had someone do their belly and a year later returned after gaining 20 pounds. Their stomach was still flat. He gained the weight on his back and legs. We don't encourage bad eating but if you maintain your diet, the results should be forever.

+Fernanda Carvalho Although it is not FDA approved for this area, it will likely improve it. The first step would be making sure one of the adapters fit the area well. If there is a good 'seal', you should expect to see a 30% improvement after one treatment. Typically liposuction is the 'go to' procedure for this problem, but for a non surgical approach I do believe it would work.

I got this done at Laseraway in Mountain View, CA and i'm dying from pain, it's been over a year now (6 cool max). Horrible, horrible mistake.This has changed my life - damaging procedure.

at this point it's been a year and a half, I'm in even more pain and on disability. My doctor states that i had severe nerve damage after this procedure and other complications (can't talk about here) I now have to have a surgery to fix what they've damaged.

nilu1121 : 1. I would think a CYA moment would be the docs over (or @ least) explaining the good, bad & ugly of the guly of the procedure. Some doctors will give you a pamplet to read, or video to watch, then talk to you to make sure you understand what you read. 2. Some people are very sensitive to any kind of medical procedure, the unlucky person who has the worst reaction. Verses the patient who practically hops off the table & can do a song & dance number. Number 1 (least) in pain vs number 10 (very worst in pain.) Also, I'm sure a wavier was signed so you cannot sue for damages to the body. Unless the doctor had no training, bought a pc. of junk machine, used the wrong attachments for the right part of the body & got into the business for a fast buck. $2,000-4,000k for a whole body treatment I read online last night. That article was from last yr. I've read articles back to 2006. Buyer beware, and instead join a gym & eat healthy. Piece of information for ya. In the end, guys, majority prefer plus sized girls anyway. They will lie to your face & say no, but when is comes to having babies guys want healthy looking women, not sticks. Take that plug nickle information & toss it if you desire.

Maybe the 'skin draw' wasnt that good or maybe that spot is mostly skin? sorry you had a bad experience in florida.

+Nixsta 876 It absolutely does work for overweight people. Better results are seen in those with a lower BMI. There is an attachment that is for 'debulking' for those severely overweight. The fat that is soft (subcutaneous) can be treated. The hard fat (visceral) cannot be treated. It is too deep.

+Jasmin Flowerz Sorry to hear about your experience. Aqualipo is a surgical procedure. In the right hands and the right patient it probably is a fine procedure. It boasts a 'minimally invasive technique' of lipo but I've seen how the tissue looks from the inside with an endoscopic camera. It looks pretty much the same as regular liipo. Coolsculpting is non surgical. The results we are getting are very impressive and in some patient better than we could have gotten with lipo (bettter skin retraction). My mistake was not looking at the yrs of experience within the practice- instead, I looked at the awesome string of rave reviews...not realizing the plastic surgeon had very few years within the field.
About me: I'm 5'3 and typically have weighed 128 lbs at my lowest, 138 lbs on average. Today, I weigh 153 lbs., my all time heaviest, despite my efforts to shed the stubborn fat, and 2 yrs after Aqualipo.
It's as if the ugly fat cells came back w/a vengeance after the procedure. I know my body pretty well, so am aware of the odd shift my body has taken. Exercise regimes that used to work like a charm, now are useless. Also, worst of all is the purpose of the procedure seems to have been all in vain, as the results that were 'supposed to be" permanent have proved to be anything 'but' permanent. ..if anything, that's the 1st place my fat is stored, resulting in that still odd/disproportionate body shape. Basically, it beat the whole purpose of having gone that route; the investment, time, money and brutal trauma to my body.
I had a 2nd procedure to tweak the work done, but still, it remained barely noticeable. I had only my love handles removed, but it appears as though an indentation at the start of the waist was made..while the most important part, the actual protruding flubber was completely ignored. Today, the whole area has popped out like never before, a nasty muffin that I just can't stand.
At the moment, I am seriously considering Cool Sculpting, or heading overseas to South Korea. The latter is known for excellence in plastic surgery and ideal pricing.

+CAMEO Surgery Lol. No worries. I am in the process of finding a solution, since once again I'm finding myself in the same place I was pre Aqualipo, probably even worse. While I still go for hardcore workouts at the gym, I'm considering many options including getting my midsection reduced, overseas, preferably S. Korea. I will also look into your procedures. At the moment I'm rooting for noninvasive Cool lipo.

Sorry to hear of your negative experience. It works on those who are good candidates. There is independent scientific literature to support that. There are some who shouldn't have it done because they are not good candidates.
