- In this video we visit the Beautiful Grimsthorpe Castle located 4 miles outside Bourne in Lincolnshire.
Home to the De Eresby family for 500 after the Castle was gifted by Henry VIII, the castle has links to the royal family since the 16th century and hosts a number of royal thrones and royal treasures.
With beautifully landscaped gardens,a walled garden, lake and adventure playground set over 3,000 acres.
The Castle, although not a Castle in the true sense of the word , has 4 sides which reflect different architectural styles and has links back to the 13th century.
This stunning mansion was used as a filming location for Bridgerton in 2022 #history

Morning both this castle was fabulous and the histort from the 13th century was so interesting. It was so beautiful inside and I loved the music, perfect ! There were some beautiful pieces of art in there and the gardens were stunning with a lot of different trails and great for children too. That was lovely ~ Anna 🎉
Good morning Anna hope you are all well. Yes the castle is stunning and so much history with all the art and furniture inside. The guides were so lovely and told us many tales and information. We do love the gardens here and visit regularly to walk around them. There are some great trails and a large adventure park so it's great for children they even have a large tub of balls for children to play with on the lawns which is a nice touch. Good morning guys hope you are well. Yes we were virtually the only ones there so we didn't do a tour but the guides in each room could spend as long as we liked talking. They were all so enthusiastic about the place and talked about the objects and history with such passion it was a fantastic day. We spent a couple of hours going around. Its one of those places where every object has some story behind it. We are really enjoying our hh memberships it's great value isn't it. Looking forward to see where you are off to next. Hi guys yes Grimsthorpe is only a few miles from us so a regular haunt of ours for a walk. The gardens are beautiful and there are some great walks and a lovely lake. We hadnt been inside before but we recently joined hh and it gives us access. We couldn't believe how lovely it is and with such a lot of history to discover. Hi guys we were surprised they let us film, it was a very quiet day so we didn't take a tour. The guides in each room were lovely and told us lots of fascinating stories. We joined historic houses which gives us free access here as well at Belvoir, and Burghley amongst many others. It's great value at £108 for 2 for a year. Best wishes to you both ❤️

Hi Ian thank you so much for your lovely comments we appreciate it very much. We have just switched to a gopro12 but haven't really set it up we are using it as it was set up out the box when we got it. Having had a gopro5 previously we have found it quite a jump forward . It's quite small more of a twig at moment. He will have to let it grow a bit first. He can't decide what shape to do but says it will become clear as it grows. Best wishes ❤️
