Good afternoon Gary, am at work and that Michigan beer looked so good… Very nice finds you got there, none of them I have but now that we know, eyes open… I loved Sheryl Crowe and happy to hear she is back to her original sound which made me love her music. Have a great weekend, chat soon ✌🏼🎶😎
Hello my friend! Knowing your taste I’m pretty sure you would dig that Ohio Players album. And if you liked Sheryl back then you’ll love this one brother
Nice finds, Gary! I have all the 80's X LPs, and Under The Big Black Sun is a fav. I remember those cereal box 45's...neat! Every home needs the P. Furs and Ramones. Enjoy the weekend!😎🎶
Great VCLT & pickups Gary! The Ohio players are a cool listen. Enjoy those beverages amigo! I never heard that Robert Plant. Have a great weekend buddy.
Hey Gary. Lots of cool stuff in this video. Nice VCLT from Jeff, fantastic shirt, that Monkees cut-out, etc. Ohio Players knew how to do covers...that's all I'm going to say about that. You're right about Sheryl Crow too. She had a great run in the 1990s, but lost me after that. Awesome video!!!
@@RichStrickler Thanks Rich! Ohio Players might not have been much to look at, but those covers…legendary. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a Sheryl Crow record this much.
@@TheAuditoryVinyl You can never have too much Plant indeed! I think you would like this latest from Sheryl Crow, Doug. Probably can get it on sale. Thanks!
Nice video Gary🤘🏻 Cool finds and so cool of Jeff to send some vinyl your way.. I have never heard of the band ‘X’ but I will stream them now for sure.. I hope all is well my friend.. Take care and God bless
Under The Big Black Sun is a great album and X is a band I really like. That sounds like a cool Bangles 45. The Ohio Players did know how to make some nice covers. That is a really nice Robert Plant find as I have not seen it on vinyl out is the wild. Great finds.
Aren’t there four Bangles? Nice 45’s. Glad you like the X. Cool Monkees disc. I’ve never seen that Sheryl Crow album. Very cool! I’m surprised you didn’t already have that Psychedelic Furs album. Cool finds!
@@jeffwhitchervinyldestinati4486 Thanks again Jeff! The Sheryl Crow album got little attention but I really like it. I don’t have much Furs in way of vinyl actually. But I’m getting there.
@@Americanasam1994 Thank you Sam. That’s a good assessment of Sheryl Crow. If I make my way up there again maybe I can pick up one of those shirts, what size shirt are you wearing?
Gazza!! I love Hefeweizen but unfortunately every time I get halfway through the 2nd beer I sneeze like people who have really bad hay fever. Of course being the trooper that I am, I struggle through it. I love how the US X have that rockabilly thing going on in there too, but amped up punk style. Also there is an Australian X from the same era and they are brilliant, but a much more raw punk outfit with huge bass riffs. Very generous VCLT. My uncle had a couple of Ohio Players posters on his wall when he was in his late teens and as a early primary school kid I was fascinated by those ladies, but was not yet able to understand why 😂Surprise surprise I ended up buying 3 or 4 of those records and the music inside was pretty good too. Can't believe you got Manic Nirvana on vinyl. That is a killer record. I have Principle Of Moments and Now & Zen on vinyl, but the rest on cd. Nice Percy find man. Also don't have any 90's Ramones on vinyl either, just their 70's & 80's output. Again nice Ramones finds Gazza. Cheers...Ben
@@benrankins4446 Thanks Ben! Those OP covers are killer. I was very surprised with the Plant find. One of my favorites by him. This particular record shop occasionally gets in these unofficial releases of The Ramones and they sound great. Getting close to completing my Ramones studio discography.
Awesome Monkees record, looks like you have #1, I have #4, always fun to collect. Now I have to pull that Psychedelic Furs to play today. Ohio Players, Plant and Ramones...cool pick ups.🍻
I know this is a moot point, but why aren't the Monkees in the rock and roll hall of fame? Don Kirshner is deservedly in there, Neil Diamond is there, Boyce and Hart were nominated last year (don't think they go it though). So why no Monkees? I mean, the RRHF is, as Johnny Rotten says a "piss stain" and I wouldn't want to be in there myself, but hell, if Green Day can make it, surely the Monkees can be there?
@@Foul_Quince I agree wholeheartedly that the Monkees should be there. They were a phenomenon. A pre fabricated band that became a real band? That’s a great reason right there.
@@vikingbrace Prefab or not, they were a vehicle for some great songs to get out to the public that may not have otherwise. That's a deserving service done right there! We should start a campaign!
“Hello vinyl community, and people who just dig good music”…”The only Summer fling I have is with my wife” 😂 Jeff Whitcher has impeccable taste with that X album. He has over 3 million subscribers! “Shit, that’s too small, I can’t see it”…nice Sheryl Crow. I haven’t listened to that yet. “There’s only one part that gets on my nerves, but I won’t talk about that now” …Psychedelic Furs! I saw them Summer 87 in Ottawa and they still rank highly on my list of favorite concerts. Nice Robert Plant. All my Plant stuff is on CD, and I have most of them including Manic Nirvana. I saw The Ramones that same Summer in Ottawa at Carleton U! Wild time!
Sounds like you saw some good concerts back in the day Mike. Never saw the Furs but I did see The Ramones twice. There’s one song on Sheryl’s latest album where she does a bunch of “na na na’s” at the end, but it goes on forever and gets annoying. Thanks Mike!
Great stuff Gary! We love a good MI beer too. I think that X record was produced by Ray Manzarek from the Doors, but I've never heard that record. In fact, I don't have any of the records you showed EXCEPT honey from the Ohio Players which of course is great.
Hi Gary. I was not aware that Sheryl Crow had a new album. That looks like a great one to have. My opinion of her is similar to yours. I have Plant now and zen. Manic Nirvana I have never heard of and will seek it out. The Psychedelic Furs maybe my favorite pick up of all. I need that one! Great pick ups to include the hefe weitzen!
