Hi, nice finds. China Crisis debut is a truly great album. One of my fav 80's albums. Simple but beautiful melodies and songwriting. Wish you all the best for 2025. Greetings
Tim- Just wanted to say thank you and how much I enjoy your channel. I was an early subscriber and felt from the beginning your channel was a cut above many other VC channels. I wish you and your wife a happy, healthy 2025 and look forward to more fun, informative videos!
Hey Tim! Just wanted to touch base and thank you for everything you do, especially helping all of us with our own personal “QUESTS”! I can’t tell you how many times I have used your videos to upgrade the old crappy vinyl I was stuck with. Like a lot of us, I also used that darned RCA music service to get about half my records!🤬 After watching your latest video, I am intrigued by your offer to sell off some of your records. Can you provide a list when you have time? On a side note. I have purchased two UofV OG shirts and were them often out and about. You would be surprised by how many people out in the wild know your channel! Thanks for everything Tim!
Hi Stan...that's amazing about the recognition of the shirts -- love it! I'll compile a list in a week or so and Post it here on the Community Tab also. Thx so much
So cool to find someone else who loves the song "Dogs on The Run". Absolutely one of my favorite Petty songs, and never ever heard it on the radio back in the day. A sleeper hit no question.🥰
Yes, "Brick by Brick" getting some love. Saw that tour in a small club in Houston in 1990. Alice in Chains opened before "Facelift" was released. Both bands were amazing and Iggy was crazy as ever. Comical, enjoyable, and loud! Take care and Happy 2025! Really getting into jazz now as well. Just bought the Herbie Hancock box set. Enough music to last a lifetime lol....
Happy New Year and belated Happy Birthday! Appreciate the education on the many vinyl topics you have covered. Your knowledge of the mastering and pressing history of vinyl has made it a blast for me to re-visit my 55 year old collection. Cheers
I really like that Husker Du Warehouse album. I got to see them on that tour. They played the full album which, I think, didn't really land with some of the audience. I thought it was a fine show and was glad I got to see them. "She Floated Away" is still a song I love. I always enjoy your videos.
That Irish pressing of The Smiths LP, check to see if it has CP (handwritten) superimposed over each other, that means it was pressed at Carlton Productions pressing plant which was based here in Dublin, Ireland. Another feature of Irish pressings is the double indent on the record labels.
Happy New Year Tim from the UK 🇬🇧 I really appreciate your channel. I have supported it for someone time and trust your reviews and knowledge regarding all things vinyl. Please keep up the good work Peace and love Graham.
Happy New Year and Happy Belated Birthday! Been with you since day one and truly enjoy your videos and learned a lot as well. Looking forward to your Instagram venture.
Still my favourite Tim! 😁 Very nice finds (at the 17 record stores in your area)... I don't do Instagram, but it sounds like a great idea, I hope it works out for you Sir.
I love "Songs for Drella". I have a UK promo copy with a wrapper that ties with a ribbon and is signed by Lou Reed. It's worth noting the RSD version spreads the album out to three sides, the original is just one disc with 55 minutes of music, so might be worth keeping both.
Speak No Evil is one of my favorite Jazz albums of all times. I have the pressing you presented. Also have the Blue Note Classic Series. All Analog mastered by Kevin Gray which I albeit slightly prefer over that particular pressing.
Tim - love the “Brick by Brick” album - have it on CD, a reissue would be great. Having Van Gelder Blue Notes are always preferable, but modern repress copies work too. I generally end up backing into a Van Gelder eventually after first buying the KG version. 😊 BTW I can’t wait to hear your views on the upcoming Katy Lied UHQR
CTA is such a good rock album. Nothing like the Peter cetera sappy 80s songs. I too have a two eye promo and uk. Uk may have a slight edge. I heard the tml 70s press is very good as well.
I would love to have that copy of Tracy Chapmans first album. I only have it on cd . It was recorded and mastered really well, one of my favorite top 20 albums. Can I buy it from you? Thanks, Steve
@@stephenschmitt8630Hardly played. I picked it up in a used record store in Kenmore Square in Boston when it came out! It was 3 or 4 bucks. Those days are gone!
My new years wish is that Analog Productions would kick their shipping department in the butt and start shipping orders out more quickly. I'm not holding my breath. I'll try to buy from anybody else first before AP.
Happy birthday Tim! Congrats on a great collection

Happy Birthday I have some shopping to do Lol I definitely need to get back out in the wild and explore. Great finds and awesome titles! Thank You

Thanks Jaime, record arrived yesterday! Will be in touch.
Really great video Tim. Congrats on the year recap from UA-cam! I’ll be watching for the IG sale.
Thanks for watching. I'll keep you posted.

I need to listen to it again I guess.....

Thanks Jeffrey, Katy Lied coming soon I believe.

Prefab Sprout released Swoon (1984), Steve McQueen (1985), From Langley Park to Memphis (1988) and Jordan: The Comeback (1990).
Thank you....winged it during that portion of the video....never pays off..

I have a promo copy of the Chapman album on virgin vinyl. It's very dynamic sounding.
Is it in mint condition or close to mint? Thx

Belated Happy Birthday!!! I am looking forward to more high quality content in 2025!
Why not sell on the SHFtv classifieds?
Hi James, that might be an option also.
Wow nearly 4 years... time flies...
Just celebrated the same birthday - Jan 4th. Was wondering what your SH profile name is? I also sell and buy over there.
Universityofvinyl on SH also - happy belated birthday 🎂

Agree with you, shocking at times
