As a CAT faithful owner for 35 plus years, and coming from a Cat family since '74 I approve this video. Awesome stuff. Owned many versions of the sled you have shown here. Good stuff!
I'm assuming you're a Camaro guy too with the name @camro69green31?? I too, am a Cat and Camaro guy 🙂 Currently have (2) 2016 ZR 8000 Limited 137", 2006 F7 Sno pro EFI Orange, a 1979 Arctic cat Pantera 5000 FC and a 2013 Camaro ZL1 🙂
Can't believe you don't have a firecat or sabercat in the fleet. I love the old arctic cats. Grew up in a town with only a polaris dealer and I was the odd kid out loving cats.
Absolutely awesome collection. I always say, I have 3 sleds and 1 ass. Now, I realize, I'm ok. My first sled was a 72' Rupp Yankee 25 hp( 295), and it seemed like it ran great until it snowed. This was in the late 80's and my first ever purchase from a part-time job. When i was looking at it my father suggested buying a Cat as he was a rider in the 70's and owned a 71 ' Puma. My Brother is in the process of restoriing it. Anyway, my first brand new sled and purchase from a full time job was a 95' Arctic Cat Cougar 550L/C . Absolutely great sled for the price and fast for what it was. Eventually, I moved up to a 99' ZR 700, which I still own today. My buddy rode it this winter, which was pretty awesome. I also own my Father's last sled a 00' ZL 440. I currently ride a 2019 zr 8000. Which is great, but my heart is in the 90's cats. I think i just gave my life story on you tube. You might be like Dr. Phil for Cat- heads
Cool old Panther! I just got a 79 El Tigre 5000 to add to my sled collection that seems to be building more than it should, but it'll make a good pair with my 1980 Yamaha enticer 340 deluxe. Used to have Dad's 1991 Wildcat 700 but that thing had so many miles it got retired and I ended up just sticking around with a 99 Polaris Indy 500 XC until last year when I bought a 13 model arctic cat XF800 Sno Pro and that absolutely turned me into an arctic cat guy. Them mid-90s ZR chassis sleds just hit differently and the Firecat F series chassis were probably some of the best sleds built period.
It’s so awesome to see someone else who shares my passion for snowmobiles, AND arctic cats in particular. Your channel is like a dream come true for me haha I really started to take an interest in snowmobiling when I was about 13-14 years old I think. We had a 1980 jag 3000, 1991 el Tigre ext 530, and a 1997 Yamaha vmax 600 at the cottage that my dad was able to tinker with and keep running for the most part. Unfortunately there were a lot of times when the sleds weren’t working properly, but my dad and I were always able to figure it out. Unfortunately I don’t have the greatest relationship with my dad but going snowmobiling together was something that we both loved and could do together and I’m thankful for that. Now I live farther away from him and have my own sled. My dream sled. My 1997 Arctic Cat Thundercat 900. Got it almost two years ago now for $2000. Completely stock, really good shape. 14k miles on it and this past winter I put another like 750 on with absolutely no problems at all (other than self induced ones haha) Anyway there’s a bit of my story with snowmobiling. It is without a doubt my favourite thing to do and I’m thankful to have found this channel that is as passionate as I am about snowmobiling and old school arctic cats!
Thanks for the support! I love hearing stories like this! I like being able to share my sleds and passion for the sport with everyone. Thanks for watching!
Love the collection I have a 97 zrt 600 needs some engine work wish you lived closer I’d drop it off to you to fix. My brother in law bought a 01 zr 600 to ride in Chautauqua ny he also has a 2018 2up then I guy we work with sold me the zrt600 that’s how we got started
Loved the video, I have ridden 13 of the sleds you had there including the 78 panther. The first Arctic Cat I ever rode was a 1996 ZRT 600 mountain Cat with the 136" track.
Nice collection!! My first ride on a sled was in 1973 on my older Bro's '72 Ski Doo Olympique. it was love at fist ride but I always liked Arctic Cat and got a '73 El' Tigre a few years later, then a '75 El' Tigre a '92 Wildcat and my current ride is a '00 T-Cat with only 700 miles on it so far.....
Love the channel. Love the fleet. I grew up on cats. Ma n Pa had 74 lynx dads was a 440 2 seat and moms was a 292 single seater. In 1979 dad showed up w a kitty Kat for us. I was 5 wnd my sister was 7. Dad said dont run into the shed or over the trees he had planted. I immediately drive over the trees and right into the shed. 😂. That kitty kat went through a bunch of my cousins and i rebuilt it about 8 years ago. It is a 1971. Now its with a close friend and his young boys are ripping it around their farm. I have a 2000 summit 700 highmark 151 with dual pipes and a team fast skid and air shocks all around. Sled has dual pipes and rips
Awesome collection!! Everybody accuses me of having a "sick" sled addiction!! , But I think you take the cake bro :-)😅 I'm a late to the game guy, only been riding since winter 2009/10. It was addiction at first braap! My best friend come ripping up in my front yard on my neighbors 1998 ZR 600 EFI limited and I was like "where in the heck did you get this thing" ?? He basically said, "shut up and just take it for a rip", I did and I was hooked! The next week My self, my neighbor and my best friend went sled shopping 🙂 I found a near mint 2001 ZR 600 EFI , my neighbor upgraded to a 2003 F7 EFI sno pro( Black) and my bf bought the neighbors old 98 ZR 600! We were a CAT pack. Since then I've owned LOTS of sleds, getting my 2 boys addicted as well 🙂 They both started riding @ 4 and 5 years old , they are now 16 and 17 years old. I want 1 from each manufacturer Thundercat 900 or 1000 Storm 800 or XCR 800 mach Z800 Vmax-4 800 My name is Patrick, and I am a sledaholic😝

@@paulpriest1023 you're right, Cat switched to Suzuki in '76. However, Dad's '79 had a Kawi in it. A google search led to a call to Dad.
