Can't thank you enough guys! Those are actually my boots, purchased in Bologna, Italy some 20 years ago. I used them on a daily basis throughout my studies and had them "wrapped" in Vibram for better weather protection. I can't believe I will be wearing them again soon. Amazing job as always! Ps: drop the mustache

Awesome restoration! As for the mustache, first thing I thought of was a resemblance, albeit Heath is thinner, to George Clooney's CIA character in "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind". Second thing I thought of was Pete Davidson's reference to the 70's porno hitman stache. Either way, it fits you, but ultimately it's your face and you have to live with it. When I was in the Army and we deployed, my unit had us go to "relaxed grooming standards", so we had longer hair and facial hair....drove me nuts, and I couldn't wait to come home, shave and get my hair cut. To this day, eight years after I've retired, I still can't grow my hair out or keep facial hair, and God knows I've tried.

I know the purpose of the welt for Goodyear welted shoes/boots, but what is the purpose of a welt for Blake stitched footwear? I thought the upper, insole, and outsole were stitched together with the stitching being inside the footwear. What is the functional purpose of a welt?

No mustache. It looks good, but more handsome without! Tell us what your wife thinks next time. Loved the shoes. Awesome redo!

I was waiting for the welt restitching. Were you able to get it back in each hole?

Trent's knife technique opening the package is so surgical it's impressive.

I notice the cut nails don't end up on the floor like the old place. And, is blind stitching worth the trouble?

Hi Heath: The moustache looks good. Maybe consider a short goatee? I think it would look great!! Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Alex! Well, this particular job was free, but ordinarily it would have been around $180 for all of the options we did. $110 for the basic resole.

How do your hands feel after a day of resole's and pulling soles off all day? Do you get cramps in your hands? I'm asking because I'm interning as a designer for Tom Ford and my hands kill me after a solid day of hand sewing.

Have you ever thought about starting an apprenticeship program? I hate the thought of this type of craftsmanship and knowledge being lost. Loved the work you did on this pair of boots, btw.

Wow!! You guys have so much more room, maybe put sound deadening on the walls to decrease the echoing. Awesome job and keep the stache.

Sublee75 Thank you! Yep, it’s quite a bit larger than our last place. The ceilings are very tall, so we may have to start using the clip on mics.
