The Galaxy S7/Edge do not have a microSD card limit of 200GB maximum storage. These like any other phones capable of the microSDXC standard are technically limited by that standard only, meaning a maximum storage of 2TB (unless artificially capped or sporting insufficient drivers or the likes). Never the less. Very misleadingly many phone makers usually claim an actual storage limit equal to the biggest microSD card available at the time of each phone’s release. That has nothing to do with any limit of the phone itself. It's kind of funny how Samsung claimed this 200GB cap on S7/Edge only to start giving away 256GB cards to buyers of the S7/Edge after the Note 7 debacle. Could the S7 phones access the full 256GB of these cards? Yes they could but that was already expected rather than being a surprise.
The new Samsung Galaxy S8+ is still to this day claimed to have a limit capped at 256GB for microSD cards according to Samsung. The biggest card until recently also happened to be 256GB. My own Galaxy S8+ how ever contains a 400GB microSD card and is perfectly capable of detecting, filling as well as reading all of it with no problems or hick-ups. So why does Samsung claim the 256GB cap? Well, Samsung doesn’t manufacture 400GB cards as of yet while one of their competitors does. So instead of being forth coming about that they chose to act like their own product can’t read it. At least until Samsung themselves release their own 400 or 512GB cards.
How can I replace my 128gb card with a larger 400gb Plus card and not lose the apps that are on the 128gb card?
@@kennya1425 If you have an Android phone (I don't have an Iphone so I don't know how it works there) then you simply shut off your old phone. Insert the simcard in the new one and turn it on. Once you turn it on (some way into start using it) it will ask you if you want to use the new phone in stead. It will then start to download everything needed (if you aprove) due to your connected Google account in order to keep that new phone as identical regarding apps and what not to your old phone. Takes a little bit of time but it will set everything up for you. At least in my case. If you want to transfer your own photos and vids then you have to transfer them to another source first and then transfer them back to your new phone. Good luck 👍

@Kenny A I presume you have already done that now. Did you have any problems with the apps after? I am about to do the same thing myself and I put a few large apps on my memory card too, but I presumed when I would copy all the files over from the smaller memory card, the apps will just copy over to the bigger memory card like normal files would. I'm going to use my computer to transfer the files and put the bigger card back in the phone after and hopefully everything will be ok.
For some reason in my settings, i have to put it on extended storage and that's the sd card but it doesn't put all the app space and it takes my internal storage still take the majority of the space of the app.

U HAVE TO* move the FILES to the (SD Card) which is VERY important* pls take note or else your internal storage will go up and bye2 goodluck to your phone if cant handle it..😨

@@mizuki6799 u mean the minimum of the gb sd card? = (your phone handle the maximum gb sd card 200) so it means the maximum is 200Gb even if u buy 1TB it will be change as the normal minimum gb for your device,(like s7)( s7 support only 200gb) so yeah thats all

Some videos recommend using a safety pin or a paperclip . I checked on Amazon for you . Replacement ejector tools that are compatible with Samssung Galaxy 7 phones are available to purchase for only a few dollars
I looked and looked didn’t have application manager.....cant find the way to transfers videos in the SD card.
Under APPLICATIONS I do not have an option for Applications Manager. is there another way to get to it? I am on my third S7 and have never had this option. Also, I notice the tutorials seem to never match my phone. Even the icons for the camera app and settings are different.

I'm not a Samsung user, but my mother-in-law is. She has asked me to help her copy music she owns on cds to her S7. She does not have access to a computer. If I copied her music to a microSD card will she be able to play the music on her S7? If so, what will she need to do?

Rodrigotellezcama class 4 still exists? u need a class 10 and UHS 1 for FHD vids and UHS 2-3 for 4k. look for the writing speeds
