I have been struggling so much, for SOOOOO long to backup my stuff on my PC. Little did I know the file name I needed to check is DCIM, not all the other ones who are pretty useless on my laptop at this point. You saved me a lot of time, thanks for the video!!
You are a GOD SEND!! THANK YOU!! It USED to be so easy to find. I was afraid I was going to lose a ton of pics of my Dad who has passed away. 🙏 Bless You!!
Best video that answers my question than any I've watched since having a phone for the past 15 years! One thing I would like to learn is how to get the NEWEST photos to downlaod FIRST and NOT LAST. Takes forever to get to the newest pictures always found at the bottom of the down load. Thanks a million.
You are brilliant, thank you. The best instructions ever; 3 hours I've spent trying to copy images to memory stick, all to no avail and your tutoring has worked a treat! Blessings
Oh my gosh, I had been searching my phone for WPS information, trying to install a new version of Windows on my older computer, and then it came across your video that answered it all. I can't thank you enough, I was able to load photos from my old Galaxy S7 and A51 to my current PC thanks to you! Cheers!
Thank you so much for this simple explanation. I literally spent hours trying to figure this out. I knew ot couldn't be hard but I couldn't figure it out.
I have been searching through Google and UA-cam for more than an hour today (and I tried many times before today ) and I just didn’t find a way to transfer my videos and pictures, until I saw your video you deserve more than a 👍 Thanks 🙏
Very helpful! I couldn't seem to follow the instructions exactly as you have them after about 2:33 into the video. I didn't see anything like those icons on my screen. However, the video helped me figure out that I could highlight the files and, then, click on and drag them all together into "Pictures" at the left of my screen.
You earned a like, comment, and I even subbed for this one. Thanks for making a really helpful video and not making it 10 minutes long when the solution is so simple.
OMG. thank you so much. I lost all of my photos and videos because my other phone crashed. I'm just starting my little UA-cam channel and I'm old, my son gave me this new fancy phone. I don't know how to edit or join videos on the phone. You are an answer literally to mh prayers. I pray that you are the happiest man on the planet for what you shared today. New subbie
Hey, "WorldofTech!" My mum wanted to start a vlogging channel in a few days. So, I am the one who has to hold my mum's new 'Huawei y7a' phone and record it. While I'm done with my mum's recording, I wanted to learn how to edit. So, I kinda know a bit about Filmora X, and today, I learned all about how to edit on my laptop in Filmora. So here's the thing; I am supposed to record the video on my mum's phone and I am supposed to edit and upload the video on UA-cam on my laptop. So I started to wonder, "How the HECK am I supposed to send the video through my mum's phone to my laptop, rather than sending it in through Gmail or Whatsapp?" That's when I looked at your video. Thanks, Man! Your video helped me a lot! Best of Luck with your future videos! Bye! Have a Great Day! PEACE!!!
Thanks for that, I've been trying to transfer photos from my Galaxy A30 for that last month or so without any luck and after watching your video it finally works. :-)
This video brought tears to my eyes. Very easy-to the point. I do think I did it the long way though in that I "dragged" it to the folder on the desk top. Now I am going to try and burn a disk of the folder. ;) thanks
thank you so much i was looking at other videos that to so long and didn't even work. Your one was not only short but actually did the job. You are a life saver :] 😀
Brilliant. A thousand times thank you. I have now copied my video of my fur baby who passed recently and hope to get a still frame out of the video for a memorial photo. Thanks again.
I am so happy I ran into your video.... I have been trying for a while now to export a few videos that's on folder called Camera on my Sunsumg phone. Thank you so much for your help.
Much appreciated. Had to swipe to unlock my mobile Samsung Galaxy first and then plug in wire connect. And then press allow that came up on my phone. And followed rest of your instructions was easy. Thank you! Happy New Year
Thank you for sharing but could you tell me why I can see some albums in my PC and the others I can't? I have about 15 albums and only about 1/2 are showing in the DCIM folder. Thank you!
Make sure when you first plug your Samsung S8+ into your computer, you are selecting transfer files when the pop up comes up on your computer in the bottom right hand side of the computer screen saying “Choose what to do with your Samsung S8+.” Then on your Samsung S8+, scroll the screen from the top down to get to your “quick settings.” Select Android System>USB for file transfer>make sure Transferring Files is selected. Then, make sure you close your photo album on your phone. Finally, on your computer, open and go to: File Explorer>This PC>Galaxy S8+>Phone>DCIM>Camera. Your photos AND videos will be in there.
Thank you! I was looking to purchase a new camera because I couldn't figure out how to transfer the files from my phone. Simple and easy now I can save my money and use Samsung.
OMG!!! Thank you sooooo much!! I needed to download my Halloween videos. Other UA-cam videos made this too complicated... I'd get pics but no videos. Your steps were so EASY ... I have pictures and videos. I appreciate you... BRAVO 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

That you for the informative video, you explained everything so well!! I had no idea of how to do this and I had to learn quickly, I bought something from ebay and it arrived severely damaged. Of course I wanted a refund but I had to send pictures of the damage. I was stressing because I am so computer illiterate and you taught me in less than 5 minutes! I appreciate this video.
Thank you. I figured it out. It wasn't as straight forward on my elitebook as your tutorial. It was on my memory card and not my camera that I had to open. I didn't have a "youtube" file. I figured how to make one. Then I slowly progressed to the copy, and more than one by holding down the control key and then upper bar, is where the "copy" was, point and renaming. This has been a thorn in my side for weeks until I found your video. Thanks! Now ....how to edit!
What should I do if the DCIM is empty when it is supposed to have folders? My whatsapp image folder is also like that so I cant transfer photos or videos at all
I got a solve!Plug your USB in computer and put cable in your phone then scroll down on phone and click if it says(For samsung users)USB settings. Then press on that and it will take you to 6-7 options, you will have option "Transfer images" select and there you go!Close everything refresh 3 times and then try againg entering the DCIM folder.Worked for me😁.
Help Needed! I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S9 and I wanted to download my pictures. I followed the steps and the phone is in charge mode and did not do anything per this video. Any help would be appreciated. do I need to wait for the phone to charge first??
@@lindamuir921 The phone charging cable has 2 ends. The larger end is the USB end that fits into your USB port on your computer. The smaller end is the one that fits into your phone. Do you have just one piece for your charging cable? Mine is a solid block and the USB end of the cable fits into the block. The smaller end fits into my phone.
