That was an epic Stan Lee cameo because it clarifies that all the other Stan Lee cameos were actually the SAME person, and Stan is a special being who visited all the times and places the marvel stuff happens.
27:50 So, these beings are the Watchers, an ancient race in the Marvel Comics universe known for their vow to observe and never interfere in the events of the cosmos. Each Watcher is assigned a specific region of space to monitor. The most iconic of these is Uatu, introduced along with the Watcher race in The Fantastic Four #13 (1963). Uatu watches over Earth from his post on the dark side of the Moon, sworn to observe without interfering-though he occasionally breaks this vow to aid the Fantastic Four or other Marvel heroes. The Watchers possess advanced technology, including portals that allow them to observe different realities, though they typically do not travel between them. Each universe has its own version of Uatu or another Watcher, tasked with overseeing their respective Earth or region. 27:48 I love this cameo because it hints that Stan Lee's character is the same person across the entire MCU-and maybe even non-MCU Marvel films too. It’s as if he’s an "informant" for the Watchers, appearing at major events to take notes on everything happening. In non-MCU films set in separate universes, perhaps Stan Lee's character can travel the multiverse, given his cameos go beyond just the MCU. It could be similar to Uatu, where each universe has its own Stan Lee informant or maybe there’s only one Stan Lee who exists across the entire multiverse, a higher being, perhaps even akin to the One-Above-All, watching over everything. Personally, I like to think he’s just one individual who can move across all Marvel media, serving as a reflection of Stan Lee watching over his creations, alongside the co-creators who helped bring them to life.
For the record, Taserface is an actual character from the comics. Apparently James Gunn thought the name was so ridiculous that he turned it into a running joke.
Ego is a villain that has encountered the Fantastic Four and the Sliver Surfer, in the comics. When I saw the first movie, I had the feeling that Quill’s father had something to do with the death of his mother. I knew his father was an alien. This movie confirmed my feelings from the first movie.
Yondu was a child trafficker who got countless children killed after kidnapping them... and James Gunn emotionally manipulated you into mourning him and gaslit you into calling him the daddy of one of his victims because he only used that victim for criminal enterprises as a slave forced to steal through fear instead of returning him to his family after deciding not to deliver this one particular trafficked and kidnapped child. When James Gunn did the first movie, he took inspiration from the series Farscape on how to write these characters. One of the gold aliens is played by the lead actor from Farscape, Ben Browder. The admiral who is giving orders is Ben. I like this movie because it is about the who is your real family, but they dragged the humor out too much.
Shame they couldn't get any of the others. I wish they all got a lot more work, not just Ben and Claudia. It looks like Lani Tupu has been working fairly regularly, if a bit sparingly, and nothing I've seen.

James Gunn made a three movie trilogy about a cartoon raccoon and got away with it. Oh and the best fight sequence that the music elevates? Well it's the score, not a soundtrack, but the two fight scenes where Conan and his mates massacres Thulsa Doom's cannibal orgy and the "battle of the mounds" at the end. When the soundtrack starts in on the now famous bombastic Basil Poledouris fight music, it just makes you feel like you are witnessing legendary deeds.

Disney bought Marvel way earlier than most people realize. They bought it Marvel in 2010 a little bit before Iron Man 2 came out, I believe. So Disney was involved as an owner in all of the MCU films aside the first two, even though Kevin Fiege and Marvel are the creatives.
Dax's literalism is not a weakness, he is the funniest and most honest person of all of them, that is what makes him great not stupid at all. But once you go from "Yondu is a dick" to "Yondu is daddy", that is when you cry because he always saw potential in Peter. James Gunn is just so good at writing stories for the odd guys (people) with terrible pasts. Also, casting Elizabeth Debicki, she is one of my favorites, loved her in Tenet and The Crown.
The crystal guys name is MartineX and back in 1969. He was one of the original guardians of the Galaxy which they redid later to be this version. I really love that comic when it came out and it stuck in my mind forever and ever and I especially loved the crystal guy in the comic so was so happy to see him in this movie
I think one of the best uses of music and visual sequences is the opening credits for Stephen King’s “The Stand” . Where he used “Don’t Fear the Reaper “ by Blue Oyster Cult.
Good gracious this one is a tear-jerker. And then Vol. 3 comes around down the line and says, "Hold my beer..." (The Guardians Holiday Special darn well made me cry too, but I was smiling with those tears.)

My list for best Music for an Action Scene is as follows: Number 1: Kingsman, the Church scene. The song is already beloved and full of energy. Then they cut the scene to look like one take and it was extreme. Number 2: The Matrix lobby scene. I believe the song is called "Spybreak." All the sound in that scene seemed to be crafted to fit with the music, from foot falls to guns and their bullets hitting marble. Number 3: The Fifth Element during the Diva scene. She sings “Il dolce suono” which is fantastical and they cut back and forth to Leeloo showing us how powerful she is. Honorable mentions: Star Trek Beyond the "Sabotage" scene. X-MEN: Days of Future Past the Quicksilver scene using "Time in a Bottle." Shaun of the Dead in the bar "Don't Stop Me Now." And several of the Marvel movies (I mean Chain during the fight scene with his dad, Thor's films, it goes on and on. Marvel spent money well to get the music they used throughout). Fun and informative as always. Cheers.
Best music/action sequence: The Quicksilver scene from the fifth X-Men movie. You’ll know it when you see it. Speaking of which, because 20th Century Fox was bought by Disney, they will start blending those characters in after phase 3. It might be a good idea to start blending them into your watch schedule ASAP. You will inevitably end up doing them anyway, so it’s best to get them early enough to catch their relevance when they appear. X-Men, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Blade, and Fantastic Four will all become relevant. Similar to comics, the watch/ read order is kind of a chaotic mess and requires 15 compasses and a Sherpa guide to navigate, but it is what it is.
OK, so you want an epic scene with epic music? For us that know there's the iconic scene from the 80's animated classic Transformers the Movie. Optimus Prime running a gauntlet of enemy Decepticons to get to their leader Megatron set to the greatest of epic 80's cheesy soundtrack songs "You got the touch". A fantastic animated sequence.
In the comics, Drax the Destroyer is called so because he's the Destroyer of Thanos and has beaten him before ripping his heart out of his chest. He only can lift about 50 tons or more in the comics, but his durability is where he stands out. He's almost indestructible and is a 7 in durability, the highest attainable number you can reach. You can kind of see this in the movie when he's getting bashed around by trees and nothing happens to him. By the way, you are terrible at hiding that you've seen this movie before.
Technically, Thanos is the adoptive father of Gamora and Nebula. He conquered their planets and murdered half the populations, adopting an orphaned child from each world. He then pitted them against each other in competitions and replaced parts of their bodies with cybernetics with each loss, with Nebula losing so much.
Best song of all time is a tough one. Some could argue Bohemian Rhapsody, All Along the Watchtower (Jimi Version). Maybe even Billie Jean. For me personally its tied between Hotel California or House of the Rising Sun
@@CineRam thats a fair addition, I only didnt do it bc I am a guitarist and the two sentences I loathe the most are "Can you play Stairway to Heaven" and can you play "Wonderwall". My hobby ruined that song for me lmao
At a certain point a theory started that the Stan Lee’s cameos was that he was the same character but different people. This was then expanded that this character he was playing was a Watcher. And of course they thought it would actually be funny to do the cameos in this movie with Stan talking to some Watchers.
The end credit scene with the gold skin alien lady has an Easter egg that non-comics fans aren’t aware of. Me saying that is no surprise because the mysterious end credit scenes always set up something in another movie. But it was a reference to one of my favorite comic books from when I was collecting so that scene was especially sweet for me. I won’t say more than that until you see a whole lot more movies.

I'm Mary Poppins's yall!
With his appearance as Ego, Kurt Russell became the only actor to appear in both Marvel's MCU and the Medfield College Universe.
“I’m Mary Poppins y’all!”
"God only Knows" by The Beach Boys is the best song ever, and the Church scene in "Kingsmen- The Secret Service" with "Freebird" playing was perfect
Best song of all time is Operator by Jim Croce. Its simple its sad and sweet and catchy as hell. Perfection.
I love an unhinged interactive Shan! Great reaction!
My wife’s cousins lived across the street from Kurt in TO. She visited as a teen and he picked on her every time she was there
Fun fact, the guy made of crystal,is played by Michael rosenbaum aka lex luthor from smallville.
Best song of all time is a tough one. Some could argue Bohemian Rhapsody, All Along the Watchtower (Jimi Version). Maybe even Billie Jean. For me personally its tied between Hotel California or House of the Rising Sun
More than feeling by Boston ain't on that list, tsk tsk
Fantastic list, I would only add Stairway To Heaven.
@@CineRam thats a fair addition, I only didnt do it bc I am a guitarist and the two sentences I loathe the most are "Can you play Stairway to Heaven" and can you play "Wonderwall". My hobby ruined that song for me lmao
“Landslide” is better than anything I can think of right now
12:33 🎵 GET ON YOUR FEET! GET UP, AND MAKE IT HAPPEN!🎵 😂😅
Another epic music/action sequence was "Don't Stop Me Now" in Shaun of the Dead. And "Freebird" in Kingsman: The Secret Service.
The cutest baby groot commercial
The fact that it’s a Zune is why it’s funny.
James Gun knows what he’s doing. 😉
Yondu's death breaks me every time.
“You think they over did it”
Said nobody ever
Also, you'll probably want to watch the Guardians holiday special before getting to Volume 3, but after Endgame.
That scene of Parks and Rec was hilarious!
As soon as she said "Parks" I knew exactly what she was talking about haha, so true
Brief cameo by Ben Browder, John Crichton of Farscape himself! Of course he's the admiral for the golden fleet
Ah! Been looking forward to this. I'm glad it's up. Hope it sticks! Thanks for the extra work. Here we go! :)
I’m pretty sure I fell in love with you somewhere in the middle of “come a little bit closer”
"I'm Mary Poppins y'all!" Yondu breaks my heart every damn time. It's crazy how the MCU series that's the funniest is also the most emotional...
Every movie got funnier and sadder than the last simultaneously
MUSIC to SEQUENCE: Someone needs to watch the opening title to the original TopGun, 'Highway to the Danger Zone'.
Great music in films (What I Remember, Dept):
AMELIE - The entire soundtrack blended PERFECTLY with the film
STRANGER THAN FICTION - “Whole Wide World” by Wreckless Eric and “That’s Entertainment” by The Jam were completely key.
TO SIR WITH LOVE - Title track in this film slays me every single time. Can’t listen to it without tears.
SOUND OF MUSIC - The whole damn soundtrack
WATCHMEN - “The Times They Are A Changin;” by Bob Dylan One of the most incredible opening credits ever.
DONNIE DARKO - “Mad World” absolutely heart-wrenching
ALMOST FAMOUS - “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John …I mean… wow.
SAY ANYTHING - “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel …another wow moment
DO THE RIGHT THING - “Fight The Power” by Public Enemy
WIZARD OF OZ - “Over The Rainbow” by Judy Garland
Loved listening to "Come a little bit closer" Shanelle's version
The stuntmen who did the repeated bounce were dropped from about 10'. Apparently, the landing wasn't the softest in the world, so they didn't have the best time shooting the scene.
Ego means me.
My favorite part of Shanelle's videos is her fact and trivia section...as for songs?...well...I'm a MJ, Collins, and Huey Lewis and the News guy...but..overall and universally...the best song of all time is..."Why can't we be friends?"
