I was super excited when I first saw Black Dream announced on instagram, until I saw it was a blueblack 🙁 I feel that because of that it's way too similar to FWP Roaring Patina and Herbin Shogun which I both already have. (I'm trying to keep my ink collection under control lol). I might have to get a bottle of Macbeth though, a blueish-purplish-grey with shimmer definitely hits my weak spot 😍
I'm wondering how Purple Jade Rabbit compares to Diamine Inkvent Memory Lane 🤔 They seem like they might be pretty similar.
Also the Diamine Inkvent Ink you mentioned that is similar to Midway the Magnificent probably is Party Time.
I loveeeeeee Shogun! I’m sorry you were disappointed in Black Dream being a blue black. I was relistening to the video when I was getting time stamps and laughing over how salty I am about it but it really does bother me. Haha
I’ll have to compare it to Memory Lane, I haven’t checked that, and i think you’re right about Party Time!!

I have the Fonte with glass dip nib, and yes. Scratchy. I’m probably going to sand mine down a bit with 600 wet or dry sandpaper.
But I had no idea there was a Moonman glass nib pen, so in the wee hours I ordered one-you monster! 🤣

The FWP Pink Sugar Beach is so bright compared to the real thing. Sugar Beach is more like pale Pepto Bismol. I really like the ones that are named after streets and places here.

had to LOL 😂 when you commented about the FWP Sangri-la - so true 😀. The first swatches of Teranishi ink that I have seen. Very pretty, but I have to seriously reign myself in this year concerning ink purchases - at least where bottles are concerned 😉
LOL :) The Teranishi inks are really nice, I think. Salon de Violet is beautiful - I have that in a pen right now. I'm still on the fence about Opera Rose. I want to love it, but I also need to try it in a pen!
You would love the kakimori Dip nib its amazing and you dont have to worry about it breaking and it holds a good amount of ink and lays down thin lines and really thick lines which is great for swatching an ink :)
I'm not sure I would, to be honest - I'm not convinced I'll like the metal, for whatever reason. The feeling I get when I think about it writing on a col-o-ring card is like nails on a chalkboard. haha Also after using a zoom nib, I realized I don't care about being able to write thin to thick lines. I still want to try it though, lol! so maybe one day. :)
@@inksplat well it's a heck of a lot more sturdy than glass and if you hold it at a steep angle you get a fine line but if you angle it down a little you get a medium line and then you get a swatching like 3mm broad stroke I have a video demonstrating it on my channel it's nice and is easy to clean and doesn't rust or carode it's pretty neat if you want I can send you mine to try out before you buy one

I don’t drink coffee! But sometimes I’ll drink a soda and stuff. You’re welcome for the Teranishi swatches. It was hard not to grab a bunch of them. I’m secretly hoping they show up in an ink flight though 😂

It’s pretty nice out of the pen but it’s also pretty saturated. I had some hard starts with it today but I’m not sure if it’s the ink’s fault, the pen’s fault or the crappy paper I was using.
