If anything it would have been a fox, no cow would be interested in such a food source and too nervous to get near something as unusual as a tent. Had persistent fox issues many a time while wild camping. One was so persistent that I firmly planted a fist on its nose from inside the tent! Did not come back after that lol Liked and Subscribed
He was very quick and efficient! By the time I opened my tent door it was nowhere to be seen, just abandoned the food. I had it double bagged and sealed it still found it!
Cracking video and a very enjoyable camp, you've now pretty much had all the bad stuff except falling in a mire, so next one will be a doddle. Fun fact (only just found this out): the book The Ballad of the Belstone Fox is apparently one of the inspirations for the Disney movie The Fox and the Hound. So guess it should be no surprise you encountered a fox, who knows, maybe even a relative of your varmint. It was also made into a live action movie ua-cam.com/video/Vowiytdp968/v-deo.html however that was mostly shot on Exmoor
Ronderful episode Sam excellent production again im going to cook thew stew you made but here we call it "potpot" Question - what does "LUSH" mean ive not heard it over here me and my daughter watch these videos she is a big fan and would like a full version of the theme tune online to listen to and if you want to give her a shoutouT in a video she would love iT and so would I she is called Brella all the best pal 🤩
Good to hear from you buddy, I’m from Cornwall UK so we have a southwest accent and have certain phrases and words we hijack for other meanings. Lush is a shortened form of luxuriant, specifically being defined by healthy thick green vegetation. Southwest dialect use lush to describe things that are nice, tasty, good or even pretty/beautiful. If you really wanted to ham up the accent you’d say gert lush = great luxuriance. Phwoar that’s gert lush that. 😂
Sam, invest in a water filtration system a decent one will cost around £70. Decant your water through it and will save you weight in your pack. 3 litres you carried qas far too much mate.
Aw thanks for tuning in again Deb! Yes the little wind cage made a big difference with the mic. Dartmoor is a very special place I look forward to exploring it over the adventures to come. Nice to hear from you again 👋
What a great episode. Dartmoor is really beautiful. Baileys coffee, gonna give that a go. Looking forward to the next episode. :)
