I just have to say, that when you are out hiking and camping with your wife, you have that special twinkle in your eyes of love and admiration and joy EVERY time she is with you. So endearing. Love all your hikes and videos and reviews. What a grest couple you guys are.
I’m disabled now and can’t walk very far so these videos are a blessings. I’ve always been a outdoors person from age 7 we built tree forts in the woods behind our house and spent many nights in them. I was more at peace in the woods than anywhere else. Lol there was monsters under my bed but not high up in a tree. Blessings.
How cool was Crazy Horse? More adventures are on the way, the next one features kayaking in a HUGE lake! Have a great week everyone, normal video posts pick back up next Monday. - Luke
Boiling the flavor "in". In order for the oils that make up the deep rich flavor of coffee to be released into solution, the water needs to be very hot. If it's not hot, you miss out on a lot of flavor.
Coffee has to be HOT....and only boiled for two minutes, then allowed to settle. Cowboy coffee is the good stuff! Good to see you both on a multiday trip.
Very, very nice 3 day trip. This tent seemed a whole lot warmer than some of the other tents you have reviewed in past videos. Thanks for taking us along. Happy Belated Birthday Suzie. .
What a great adventure and location. Two nights is the way to go for sure. There is more for us to see, and you guys have more time to enjoy the quiet and beauty out there! I can't wait to see Susi's review of the pants. They seemed pretty neat.
Awesome video guys. Thanks for taking us along. I live vicariously through you both as I am disabled and can’t do what you do, but so love the outdoors. Keep up the great work. God bless!
Drinking coffee is great...sipping coffee is not....with u Luke on this. Boiling water scolds the coffee and spoils the flavour... ur channel is great. Thanks. Lee
I'm so glad you take us along. I love camping with the both of you. Looks like a perfect spot to camp. I wouldn't want alot of people around me either. Perfect
Almost makes me cry, I spent many a day n night on those places you were at , deer hunting you wouldn't believe. But I'm hitting 70 now n my legs n feet can't handle the hikes anymore, sugar got to me . But I have many a great memory about those beautiful mountains. Where you parked at when you started your hike is one of my favorite places. My dad would say " let's go up to the garden and sit around . And we did. Mom n dad me my family spent many a evening sitting there at Elk garden. Great times.
Super hot coffee with the flavor boiled in, Sorry Luke but Susan is right. I really enjoyed our trip, you guys make us fell like we are right there with you. AWESOME trip. ATB Von
Sorry Luke, I’m with Susie on the Hot coffee. ThT is so cool to have those horses. I think Crazy horse is trying to keep them from getting friendly with you guys. That was an awesome trip. Wish I could have done what y’all did. Thank you for sharing your trip.
Thank you Luke and Susie! Yes, we absolutely enjoy the overnight adventures! My husband and I watch in the early morning as we drink our morning coffee (mine HOT) before husband goes to work! Your videos really inspire us to get out and go camping/hiking! Thanks again!
Hello Luke, I must say, it is very good to see you and Susie out on the trail again. Susie is quite a trooper as long as she has her morning coffee, thanks to you. :- ) Did you coin the term 'Luke warm' Coffee? Looks like a you folks had a really great time. As always, take care out there and be sure to have a lot of fun. 🤗🤗
Thanks for this one. I recall having at least on two hikes a backpack of 35 kg, about 70 pounds. usually it has been 25 kg but nowadays I try to go with 12 -15 kg due to my back problems. I usually hike 7 - 9 days in the wilderness in a very rough country. You go very light.
Luke and Susie, I loved this adventure, it was just totally awesome! Wow, great views, and wonderful scenery--loved those wild ponies! They were so cute! Wild Horrse, I think was protecting his harem, or his group--I am sure. He was letting you know, he was boss of this group. Kind of his natural behavior. Interesting to see. Nice job filming! YOU are very talented in being able to capture nature so well on film! Awesome photographs really tell of your adventures too. Thanks for this video. I could not sleep, and really could relax just smiling the entire time enjoying this! Blessings from Michelle Reed--Gresham Oregon, USA
great video you two. Thank you for letting us all join you. It seriously took me all day to watch this (had to adult a bunch lol) But it was well worth it.
Quite right the best yet everything about this trip was enjoyable to watch, the route terrain and campsites plus your insightful observations were just great thank you Luke and Suzy.
I did a short hike an overnighter last weekend. It is all because of you Luke. I am a lone wolf also. The wife hates it. Thanks for the video and the knowledge. Strength and honor my friend. Happy birthday Suezie.
I’m not a coffee fan and i practically never drink that whole heck of a lot of it either. But, i never say know to a good cup of coffee, once in a while and perhaps I should drink more of it too, in the morning. Mount Rogers seems like a very nice place to visit. Have a belated happy birthday, Suzie. Thanks you, Luke. Cheers everyone! Strength & honor! Johnny, Montréal, Canada 🇨🇦
Fantastic adventure! I really wish I could make the hike but my O'l legs just want do it any more. My long trips will have to be by kayak! Did 6 days on the Tennessee river last year hope to do 7 days this year on the Cumberland, about 30 miles. Love the multi day trips! Thanks fer takin' us along! ZZ.
My 10 year old daughter and I will be in the same area this summer for our first small section of the Appalachian Trail. Your video was a perfect tutorial for our adventure.
Really enjoyed the multi nite outings and always great to see your wife with you . Looks like you have so much fun together . Again great video thanks ...
You guys are great! And I say no coffee at all, just a nice warm tea :) What did Susie think of the hiking tights? Maybe she could give a little review on them? :)
Hi... My husband and I just quit smoking and for the first month we saved 300 and we are going camping in North Georgia mountains. And we are planning a trip to South Georgia in July with the kids and their families. I just wanted to tell someone my husband and I love to be out in the sun and a lot of fishing. We never got to off grid and stay around camp. But I see more camping in the future now that we are not smoking. Wish us luck. Thank you for the time you put in to your work. But as my husband would say " it is not working if you like your work"
Man this brings me back to that national geographic article on the appalachian trail back in the early 90's. Ive read it again and again when i was a kid
Even Though This Video Is A Long Ago Its Beautiful Luke And Suzie You Both Are So Beautiful And Those Horses Are Sweet Beautiful Thank You Thank You For This Great Adventure❤
Excellent adventure! I don’t live too far from the Sriracha factory here in California. Sriracha is one of the few hot sauce/chili pastes I can handle. You’re right , as tempting as it is to want to pet the horses, it’s not a good thing. Thanks for posting and sharing your adventure. Peace.✌️👍👏 And yes, it’s always nice when both of you go hike/camp together.
Liked the possibilities of that area. A buddy of mine and I were going to do a 30 mile loop a few years ago, ended up being a rescue mission at Thomas Gap Shelter. Had to call in rescue chopper, etc. A honeymoon couple camped out a bout a mile from the shelter on open field, weather and wind got them. He survived, unsure of her. Took us a couple of trips back and forth to get their gear collected and out to the parking lot. Never made that loop, and you pegged it about being prepared for the weather changes.
Very cool man. You guys are genuinely happy out there and it shows. I hope when our kids move out I'll get my wife out there with me as well. By the way you owe me a call whenever you guys get out to Germany brother!
Luke and Susie. That was fantastic adventure together, you two have that spark being together and shared some amazing moments! By the way you captured any aerial views with a drone. The sunset with a drone would have been awesome.
Guy that films his hikes says "I don't like to carry electronics." BTW, Renee is from Europe are writes the date day, month, year. They're not too month wrong on the date.
Another awesome adventure from the both of you! Looked like a great time for sure. Definitely a lone wolf myself, so I can relate. Take care and enjoy. S&H -Dyllan
"Beefaroni" is a Seinfeld reference. It's a very funny episode where Kramer fed a giant can of it to a horse pulling a carriage around Central Park. As you can imagine, it didn't turn out to be very romantic. LOL!!!! Love seeing you and Susie enjoying adventures together. My husband and I enjoy going on cycling adventures. It's such a special blessing to be able to do something like that with your spouse. I wish it for everyone.
That was a fantastic trip guys and beautiful scenery, I have been wanting to plan me a trip out there for the AT and thanks to you guys, I going to look more into about the place you both went to. Thank you both for the awesome video, Great job.
Definitely love the multi-day trips. Happy Birthday Susan! I’d have to agree with Luke on this one. I like my coffee lukewarm or even iced if so inclined.
Loved "Crazy Horse" - beautiful animal! I really enjoy the overnighters, especially the multi-day overnighters. I also enjoy the "scenario" overnighters. You had one years ago where you built a shelter right before a snowstorm and next to a large rock on the side of the mountain. I think that was the first one I saw and got me started watching. I also enjoyed the one with you and your son that you mentioned during this video.
Once when I was in mitary ..our drill sergeant volunteered our whole platoon to raise money for charity by running/ route stepping 22 miles. Times 30 of us. Took us all day but we did it. Your trekking around those mountains and trails reminds me if that.
You clearly demonstrate what it means to be an American Couple. Your Vids are really very Cool. Really appreciate your camping gear and good tips on what works and what to buy...
Really hot water brings out the flavor of coffee. Luke maybe that's why you like nasty coffee is to try and get a little more flavor out of your coffee and it does not have to be hot

Looking forward to this one.
Boiling the flavor "in". In order for the oils that make up the deep rich flavor of coffee to be released into solution, the water needs to be very hot. If it's not hot, you miss out on a lot of flavor.
When you go for your hikes how many more miles do you think you do when you keep going back for the camera after the walking past shoots?
Ukončiť
Cowboy Kent Rollins says it boils the bitterness out of the coffee ...,, Cowboy coffee..
I love it when you and your wife hike and do the vids together
Coffee has to be HOT....and only boiled for two minutes, then allowed to settle. Cowboy coffee is the good stuff!

Beautiful country you live in and as always thanks for taking us along for the ride and showing the nature you have around
Luke, you look like you enjoy life, so kind, and always upbeat. I love what you bring to us. You both are in superb shape, beautiful and chiselled.
Drinking coffee is great...sipping coffee is not....with u Luke on this. Boiling water scolds the coffee and spoils the flavour... ur channel is great. Thanks. Lee

Any coffee out in the woods is good in my book
This is equally as good as all your videos. Keep up the great work
You clearly demonstrate what it means to be an American Couple. Your Vids are really very Cool. Really appreciate your camping gear and good tips on what works and what to buy...
