Bug spray wont work for Horseflies. They are attracted to large bits of flesh. What you really want is a pet dragonfly or a fake dragonfly on a spring on your cap.

Fernworthy is great because the forest is fantastic to explore and the borders around it are all open to pitch up your tent. Remember midge spray as around sun down and sunrise they are savage
Fernworthy is truly outstanding what a wonderful back drop to a campsite . ( completely random question the last time we went to Fernworthy the toilets were closed until further notice can i ask are they now open as a person of an age toilets are needed 🙃 )
