Hope you enjoy watching this video and it helps you plan a great adventure! ✈ For those commenting bout it, I studied Indonesian and know what sama sama means 😂 for me, 'same same' is an easy way to remember it 😀 hopefully it is for a few other visitors too!
enjoyed alot.. loved staying at Jimbaran at Ayana Resort & SPA.. it was amazing.. enjoyed alot of time on the hanging Bar on the HILL. Im recommending you now. Though its so expensive for tourists.
Oh mannnnnn :D thank yous o much, I'm so glad you find them useful. That's made my day! Have a GREAT time. I'm going back early March for a few weeks. Can't wait.
Hmmm, I've only stayed at one, it was Inaya Putri in Nusa Dua. There's lots of great food in Bali so I do think you'd probably be missing out if you went with all-inclusive, but that's just me, I like to try lots of different local food and restaurants. Food in Bali can be either cheap or expensive, just depends where you eat and your budget. Thanks for watching :D
Hi there! Love your vids. I have a wee question if you dont mind. What would you recommend with regards to currency? Am I right in thinking that pre-paid cards aren't used in Bali? Is it better to bring hard currency? (Feels a bit risky!)I'm travelling from Northern Ireland.
Hello! I'm not sure, to be honest. We just take money out at an ATM with our bank cards and pay cash everywhere we go. Thanks so much for watching - have a great day. Phoebe x
hahaha you'll be fine :) Some people fall in love with Kuta and even if you don't you'll still have an amazing time!! I went back to Nusa Dua this year to give it another shot and actually really enjoyed myself. Maybe my first resort was just a shitty one. Either way, you will have a great time... enjoy yourself xx
This is both hilarious and super informative, I love it! Thank you so much for all the advice. I definitely want to make it to Ubud and Nusa Lembongan. Have you done the north coast of Bali at all?
Thank you so so much :D So glad it helped! I love Ubud and Lembongan. I haven't, though I'm heading to Menjangan (North-West Coast) tomorrow. Thanks so much for watching and the lovely comment xx
Hey, just discovered your channel. Love your vibe! Great video and some useful tips! Completely agree with you on not staying in Kuta.. Ubud is SO much nicer! Definitely want to check out some more volcanoes and do some hiking next time we go. Thanks - Emma
It is really cool when you interleave shots from the island and places you visited as you are talking about those places. This video needed even more of those cut shots is what I am trying to say. awesome.
Hi, cool video! I have a question. I am going solo, but I really don't like hostels, not even a single room in a hostel. I need my privacy and also a bit of "luxury". Thought about renting a private villa. But my key question is.. is it possible to meet people that way? I don't want to stay alone for 3 weeks. TIA!
+Oliver Gloor I’m the same, Oliver :) hmmm you could still meet people at restaurants and bars and on the beach but I did feel a lot more secluded staying at a private villa. A beachfront hotel or resort might be more social. Villas tend to be tucked away and a little far from the social areas.
Awesome Video. Love the energy in the video and we both love your quirky personality. Matt and you do a great job at composing the shots and the look and feel of the video. We love Bali too and recently put up some Bali videos on our new Channel too. Quick Question - Whats the background soundtrack that you are using in this video. Is it available online to download or buy? Would love to have that track for one of our upcoming videos. Keep up the great work that both of you do together. Cheers Sheldon & Jess :)
Have an incredible time 😀 you’ve chosen two fantastic spots to visit. Enjoy all the great food in Ubud! Uma Cucina, Made In Ubud, Blanco Par Mandif and Bali Buddha are my fave spots 😋
Oh gosh, this is the first video I'm seeing of yours, and I love the way you make this video interesting and at the same time informative ! Good luck!! Ps. I'm kinda feel by your accent that you're from Australia. Are you ?
You're so pretty, you have a great personality and to top it all of, you can sing. You've got a lovely voice. Bali is one of the places I want to visit in the future. Thanks for the tips. Cheers.
haha the controversial thing is just that most people love Nusa Dua, whereas I found it a bit sterile and soulless on my first visit. Buuuuuut I stayed there on my last trip and loved it, mostly because the resort was awesome :) Have a great trip and thanks for watching
Hello! Thanks so much for watching 😊 there are lots of variations on the Aussie accent 😀 Mine is from Queensland, which is usually quite a laid back Aussie accent haha O guess mine was influenced by going to school overseas and having people in my life who aren’t from Australia 😊 have a great day! Phoebe
its not that far , unless u hit the traffic and your in a bus , then it could be a couple of hours even though it might be 20-30km away lol , thats what happened too me hahahahah
i'm indonesian and im going to bali in April and July, it is my first time going there, will this be really different from where i live ( from java island) ??? is it safe for me to ride my motorbike and eat any food? ps : i have indonesian motorcycle liscence and im used to indonesian street foods
We’ve not been to Java yet so can’t really compare for you, I’m afraid. But I’m sure your love it. The Balinese are lovely people and the food is delicious.
@@travelforphoebe so do Jogja their people are lovely but less welcoming to foreign than bali ( i can confirm as a local), and in Jakarta the road is chaotic and way crazier than Bali i think, i never see foreign who ride a scooter here
I'm a Indonesian people. First time to go to Bali? Here's 3 places you must visit there! Lmao. - Crystal Bay beach - Pabrik Kata kata Joger (Pabrik = Factory) - Kuta beach ENJOY YOUR VACATION! 😚😊😚😊🤗🤗🤗👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 ( P.S = I'm not a Bali people, so maybe there's many places to go in Bali, not just this)
Disgusting taxi service from Ngurah Rai airport to hotels along Kuta beach. Yesteday I paid IRP200,000 from Bali airport to Lusa Inn which is less than 4km. A local fren later that day mentioned that I was ripped off because the usual taxi fare should not exceed IRP85,000. My advise is that when those of you planning a trip to Bali, book your taxi service online along with air tickets provided by online travel agencies such as AirasiaGo, Agoda, Traveloka and etc. Sharing is caring.
Hello, I like this video so much. You tell us about Bali, Indonesia. That's my country. lol. By the way, I would like to correct something little bit wrong. Yes, "Terima kasih" is "Thank you". But for " Sama-sama", it is not "same same". lol. "Sama-sama" has the same meaning as "You're welcome" :) Thank you
hahaha! I wouldn't worry about it, you don't need to do a lot of planning to have a great time in Bali, fun just kinda finds you :) Have a GREAT trip!!!
thanks, that's so true and typical about Bali "fun just kinda finds you" haha. Just got back now and gotta say i had the absolute time of my life. I've travelled around Europe a fair bit and ofcourse my home country of New Zealand but there is absolutely nothing that compares to Bali. Nice tips, though i did ignore the bit about the scooter, it was an amazing way to get around once I got used to how chaotic it was though i still found it a bit unnerving at times (and this is from someone with a motorcycle back home) so can imagine why you wouldn't recommend it to people who haven't rode before at all. Kuta was hectic but I ended up loving it , perhaps because i discovered a part of myself and how much i love nightlife, as i never do go out much at home. Ubud and Canggu were awesome, and i definately recommend anyone who goes to also spend some time in Gili Trawangan, absolute gem of a spot to relax or get in to water activities.
I'm so happy you had a great time - it's such a unique place hey, I've never been anywhere else quite like it. YES! That's exactly it, if you've never ridden a scooter before, I don't think the streets of Kuta are the best place to learn hahaha :) Thank you so much for stopping by again, I'm so glad you loved Canggu, Ubud and Kuta. Gili Trawangan sounds awesome, I'll have to go next time.
Hope you enjoy watching this video and it helps you plan a great adventure! ✈ For those commenting bout it, I studied Indonesian and know what sama sama means 😂 for me, 'same same' is an easy way to remember it 😀 hopefully it is for a few other visitors too!

So glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching 😀
Hi can you recommend an all inclusive resort. Do you recommend staying at a regular hotel and purchasing food outside. Is food expensive?
Hmmm, I've only stayed at one, it was Inaya Putri in Nusa Dua.
