Just a little side note. Each session was about 4 hours long, so only a total of around 12 hours bank time for these quality fish. Sometimes choosing to go for just a few hours first or last light can be more productive than an entire day on the bank. Hope you guys enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed the fishing!
Find them Bait them Catch them Brilliant watercraft and I do like the stealth approach with the silent alarm 😂 , keep pre baiting over a few weeks whilst it’s still warm ish and you get more , there’s no angling pressure there either 👍 Got to do a few more sessions on there , great video !!! good luck and tight lines,
Pukka video mate I've got a forgotten lake I fish only fished it twice and had 1 carp of 5lb but learn a few forgotten tips off you 😀, I'd keep on the lake another couple of weeks in my opinion the weather isn't changing infact it's getting better for carp fishing, but fully recommend fishing a mid spring session there the carp will be at there biggest then 😀 👍 🎣🎣🎣, keep the vids coming mate loving the channel 👍 😀
So nice to see a fishing area that hasn’t got a wooden boarding area as big as a car park and hasn’t had the trees cut back so that the armchair carp ‘ specialist’ can’t show off how much gear they have. Breath of fresh air.
Wheelbarrow to the peg, set up the bivvy, cast out 3 rods and settle down for a kip. Hopefully catch one of the huge fish that have been dumped there. Not for me either, like a bit of jungle warfare. But each to their own 👍
@@ryandigings7335 - yes, the biggest two insults in fishing are giving fish pet names and bivvy slippers. But then again, if it keeps more people away from proper fishing that’s fine by me 👍
The only bloke on UA-cam you can turn a carp fishing video into something this interesting. Haven't enjoyed watching someone catch carp this much since my first time watching Chris Yates and Bob James over at Redmire. This is proper fishing.
Oh Chris… the bit where your bait alarm was muted, you looked away and your rod WENT. I replayed it several times. It happens to us all but I did chuckle. Love to see you catch a monster out of there. Another great vid. Much respect 🤟
Yes please try to have another session they're the most interesting shaped fish and probably never caught before and a big well done for the fish you caught
Definitely MUCH more interested in the predators! So much so, I almost passed this video by. However, after watching, of course we want more, are you MAD, get on it Chris, we NEED to see you land a proper lump!
Something absolutely magical about this kind of venue! As far away from pristine & absolutely rammed commercial fisheries.. Stunning & tricky Carp 🙌 Top video Chris! Class work!
Love this type of video. Natural unspoiled wild fishing. Beautiful looking carp and absolutely love the release footage. Hope these places stay hidden 👍🏻🎣
These forgotten ponds were my childhood haunt... Great to see you fishing them... Top stuff. All the best to you and yours from Simon.... See you in Lidl again. Take care Simon
Simple but effective. There‘s nothing better than catching fish on simple methods. Find them, feed them, catch them 👍 I love your minimalistic fishing style. Keep on catching. Kind regards by „Papa angelt wieder“
NO WAY THE GINGER FISHERMAN CARP FISHING 😂😂😂😂😂😂!!! keep it up Chris ur vids are great and inspire me more calabs with Carl smith please 😅😅😅😅😂😂😂 tight lines mate.
That, was a really entertaining video . . excellent fishing, mate! Yep, it's so noticeable how the fish shut shop when the light really gets on the water. Ace stuff pal! Thanks. . .
Awesome vid! I've been wondering what else might be lurking in one of those ponds. You should definitely get out there again for the carp. I know I absolutely would. The anticipation...... eeeeeeeeee :)
Brilliant production of the video, I really liked how this one was made. Talking, showing the rigs, to the catching. Some hard fishing there too, well done dude
Loved the vid and deffo want to see more sessions. Wild raw venues like that are very hard to come by, but those willing to face the jungle will count the rewards.
Thank you Chris for sharing this flipping awsome awsome video diary of the forgotton pond, I have watched and loved them all both the Pike & the Carp. I don't know why but since you started your mini campaign on this out of the way place I have imagined how it used to look before it became so over grown, i think that it is your great story telling that made me feel like i was there myself. I hope that you can keep this place to yourself and maybe clear some weed to make it more fishable. So it's a big YES from me to fish the place as much as you would like as it's not every day that any of us get to fish somewhere as mystical as that. All the best.
I felt it *_in my soul_* as you were fighting through the brush along the bank lol. Been there many times my friend. I like how you communicate what you're doing and thinking throughout the video. It really helps to keep up with the action.
Love these videos, proper Angling not your usual big commercial fisheries, love how you overcome all the natural obstacles, real wild fishing, with great explanation.👌
Loved the format. Corporate carp videos are boring to me these days, this is something different and spot on! Wish i could catch one from my local lake of unknown stock but they dont give anything away! Wil ltry again next year though im sure and so should you 👍🏻
"Corporate carp videos" haha I love that. I agree, I enjoy these 'keeping it real' type videos. When anglers try to go corporate/commercial it's a turn off.
Brilliant footage Chris, any one can go to a commercial lake and catch fish, but to go to a forgotten pond and catch fish is so more challenging and enjoyable to watch.Good on ya Chris
Fantastic video, it’s the sort of fishing I’m doing at the moment. 4 hour sessions and so far this season I’ve had 3 thirties 😁 Just one point, you need to dry the wounds before you spray the antiseptic. Really enjoyed the video, cheers
Wow,the best carp fishing video ive ever watched, those carp were beautiful.Yes please go back and try for one of the monsters you have seen,it would be a great video to watch again.Your hard work and dedication is a joy to see,you fully deserve every success, thanks for sharing it for us all to see.
Looking forward to this once I’ve finished work! Had a cracking day fishing at a local pool on Monday, my old man pulled out a 18lb mirror carp. I might have to get some more sessions in before it’s to cold.
Awesome Chris. Well done mate. So good to see you nail those Carp. They are beautiful fish and probably haven't been caught in a very long time...or maybe never.☺ I hope you'll try a bit of silver fish bashing there too when all the blanket weed has died off.👍
Nice fishing dude , I’m no carp fisherman at all but some great sport really pretty and a super venue looked unmolested and natural and that’s quite rare these days 👍
Your the type of guy I'd love to fish with. Full of enthusiasm. Would like to see you visit this lake again. I only fish margins and floating so its great to see your not using a kilo of boilies to catch one carp.
Great video mate, you know your stuff for sure, always enjoy these, time for me to get in gear and get down to the river, have a great weekend mate, and thanks for all you do.
As always Chris, fantastic video! You crack me up because I do the exact same thing... there's always... ALWAYS something I forget!! Or should've brought... this summer we went "dipping" for sockeye salmon and I forgot my 19YO while he was changing into his waders!! We'd stopped at a bunch of privys about a mile from the spot.... in my defense I had 2 folks new to dipping and 4 other kids with me... nevertheless... fortunately he laughed about his harried father! Here in Alaska, residents can use a 5ft wide gill net solidly mounted to catch 25 +10 for each member of the household, 95 fish for mine, annually. Since the rivers I dip get a couple million 2-9 lb sockeyes every summer spawning up them, it's pretty fun! Anyway... tight lines and sunny days!
Good man I've got the first aid spray it would be good if you done a short video on fish care we have had lot of new anglers joining in on this wonderful past time they might not know the importance of fish care 👍
I've always used match tackle since I started fishing over 50 years ago- 13' Normark Avenger 2000 and a Mitchell 840. 3lb line. 2lb hook length. Now THATS interesting when you hook a carp!!
Oh mate you need to go back and catch them beasts....the shape of the carp you caught are the sort of shape that go to 50lb+....if the lake is deep then there could easily be 40 or 50s in there.....epic watching dude🎣👌
What a Great Session that was Chris. You should have took a Float rod and some Maggots or worms with you, just to see what else Is In there. When the Carp go off feeding. If You can get to them say next summer now. It would be awesome to see If there Is anything else In there. Thanks and Keep 'Em coming.
