YES at some point i will give myself a grade 0 and shave off this dead trim. Anyways enjoy the video haha

Congratulations fisherman you caught big and beautiful fish, this lagoon is incredible, it looks like where I fish here in Brazil. Hug and good fishing!👍🎣
Can i ask a question please? ..you stated the ponds had `private` signs & you continued `..that means i can legally fish here.` ....how can `you` legally fish on a private pond friend? :)
Love your videos mate, they’re all different and fresh. It’s too easy to get stuck in a rut with fishing but diversifying our skills makes us better anglers! We have our own channel hunting a 20lbs Pike in Northern Ireland and your vids inspire us to keep changing it up! Keep it up! 🎣🐊🍀
I love how polite you were when the dog's jumped into the water the owner of the dog's apologize and you just say ohh it's ok. I can't say I'd have been so nice 😂 great idea Chris Keep them coming 👍
Lovely lake. Looks like it could hold some nice tench or even small carp? Take a float rod and a tin of corn next time?? That's what I would do anyway. Plus some maggots and bread, obviously.
Looks like how I grew up fishing. Great show. Never leave home on a lost pond outing in summer without weedless frogs and Sluggos with no weight just dancing. Chain fish like those cant resist Sluggo. Hope to see more of great content like this.
You want to come around where I am, There Is Miles upon Miles of Fields. With anything from One Pond up to 10. Some are hidden under a Canopy of trees. I used to fish them like You did, when We were Kids. We would use Worms and Maggots (not really knowing about Lures) We would catch Huge Perch and roach, and One Pool Pike up to 20 Pound, and that one had carp Tench and Tons of Bullheads and Catfish and Tench and Carp and Gudgeon. One pool has Two Massive Goldfish In there. How these fish got In there Is Baffling. Someone Said On the the Feet Of the Birds. (Loads of Moorhens and Coots). Thanks for Sharing this, I suggest Float Fishing Worms, All fish Love them Nice Big Lobs. Can't wait for the Next One. PS, A good trick on a New Pond Is to Through lots of Pieces of Bread out when You get There.
That is a cracking wee spot that you are fishing, and ideal for the tube. I have to say tho, you are a brave man to be unhooking a pike as you did from the tube. All it takes is one wee wiggle or thrash and you could have a serious situation on your hands. I saw a guy tethered to a pike with a treble in the center of his hand, and it was nice. 😁😁😁Hooe I never have to say I told ya so😁😁😁.. Great vids. Regards Jack from Ireland
I recently fished a local pond that I hadn't fished since I was young and had the best afternoons fishing in a long time. Surprising how much sport you can have in such a small body of water, underrated to say the least. Brilliannt video as always!
Some great pioneering work on yr part her Ginger. Isn't it sad the way these ponds that give life to so many fish species and associated habitats are neglected like this. Often wonder were are fishing licence money is going half the time. Absolutely fascinating series thanks Ginger.
I also have caught more the carp out of belmoore . The carp fishing at one point was brilliant. In touched 20lbers were common place. With the biggest in there been about 33lb. That last pond you was fishing is pretty good for course fishing actually. Some lovely tench in it !!!
Great video. Was doubting whether I should go investigate this pond I had my eyes on for a while, and your video just gave me that extra push! Keep up the good work 💪. " Skitt fiske" as we say here in 🇳🇴 Norway. 🐟🐟🐟🐟🎣🎣🎣🎣
Quality vlog buddy, and love the idea of this little series. Not many opportunities of the little lost venues where you have no idea of what's in there anymore. Really looking forward to the next vids. Have a great week and tight lines, best wishes and stay safe and well to you and your family buddy
Really enjoyed the video, that was very exciting. I'm definitely getting the pike gear out and trying some forgotten waters now. Thanks for sharing 🖒🖒🖒
Wicked idea for content, look forward to more parts of the new series. Just goes to show there are still fishies in these waters. There are a couple around me that have had poachers fish the lakes but that puts the fishers off from trying them out. I have been to a couple but no luck as of yet, these videos give me hope! Thanks for the great videos!
After your Micro pike vid I am going to binge watch , I too search out wild and strangled ponds for pike perch Rudd and Tench. lovin what you do .The silly ponds I target are very small usually, this pond is quite big !
Nice! I thought at the start of this, if these waters are unexplored then WTF have you got on your feet and legs. But nope! Off you trotted through the brambles! Off your nut! 😂😂😂Great to see some nice fish in these waters. Let’s hope you can get out and explore some more! Take it easy!
Tryed a old pond recently up here in Scotland m8 full of snags and over grown it was full of big perch biggest I got was 3lb and a decent pike 8lb just goes to show there can be big fish were you least expected it keep the vids coming m8 tight lines 👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴
Excellent vid Chris. Looking forward to this new series of forgotten ponds and lakes...and I also think a float rod and traditional baits might well be worth a go here. See what else lurks in the depths...
Also loving the content too. It must be hard to get out with two kids so its really appreciated when you do put new vids up. Keep up the good work dude.
Nice to explore some hardly ever fished waters, “jungle style” for a change. Good job not losing lures in the weed or trees. Probably best to continue with floating or slow sinking lures and weedless softbaits. Difficult to pick best rod length: too long catches trees in overhead casts, too short and you cannot reach far enough over weed beds. Good vid!
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the video. Nice to see that there really are fish in the smaller ponds as well. Just a tip: When I fish tight spots like that I use underhanded throw mostly. It's really useful. You do need a shorter rod with nice action for it tho. I can with ease throw about 30-40m depending on the weight of the lure. Hope to see more stuff from you. Kind regards from Sweden.
Caught my Pike PB a couple of days ago. Only about 8lbs but fought like a tank! Unfortunately I accidently switched off my GoPro so missed the fight. Got a bad picture on my phone at least... 😬 Great session you had there. Great watch 👍
Great video. I am getting back into the sport after nearly 40 years break . It has changed a lot so any advice is welcome especially if you going around the hidden lakes etc as I am a bit of an explorer as well.
Nice upload mate , love the forgotten ponds , fish are always in good condition and quite niave, I'd like to see you take a top water ducking or rat down, get some awesome takes with a slash 👍
This was brill Chris looking forward to next instalment. Have you considered a little blow up dinghy or back pack canoe etc to explore the water. Just a thought buddy. Stay safe all the best. Tony
Interesting, there’s a few places like this round near me. It would be good to see you target big perch in these types of places using different methods to see which has the most success. Live baits, worms, small lures, maggots etc.
With that amount of small predators in there, would be interesting to see what they are feeding on. I got the chance to fish a small lake out of the back of a cottage in Kent as a youngster that had never been fished, some of the Rudd I caught were stunning
Loved the video, cheers. As a sea - bass/pollock lure angler, you have inspired me to think about pike/perch fishing in the local ponds...which I have never done before. Could you recommend, say, 5 lures to get me started.... and would my bass sea fishing lures be of any use when fishing for pike?... I've always wondered. thanks!
great video mate not sure what lb line you are using but have you considered tightening the drag on your reel? I wind my drag down tight and just drag them in usually really reduces amount of fish lost and for bigger fish usually means they go back better too.
A bit of wild fishing craft !..Cool. ...nice one...lean mean fish...not much sign of other species.. Pike are a very adaptave apex predator....mammals birds amphibians etc...keep an eye out for carp, rudd..and so on...in these places
Considering there's lots of small jack pike in there, they must be coming from somewhere. There's got to be some big Momma's in there that are producing these little tackers
What are your favorite spinners, i love the Ondex spinners myself. I don't think i've seen you use a spinner yet, might not of seen an episode using em tho.
Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed watching this due to the wild aspect of it and its really interesting seeing such fish caught in very small wild overgrown ponds such as these. However " I really think you need to stop being so aggressive when they take the bait, it's very hard to watch at times. Also, it helps to have that net ready. Respect and love for the fish should be an anglers fundamental principle, butchering them helps nobody!!! 👍
I fished a forgotten pond here in Danmark just like this one. I used dead roach on float. I was looking for a relaxing day, ended up getting pike on every 3 minutes, after the cast hit the water... average fish was 4kg to 6kg...
I was thinking the same. I spooked a lot of tiny jacks out the edges, fish that were only a few ounce each. Would be interesting to see how many are in there
@@The_ginger_fisherman Would love to see that video. Who doesn't love micro pike. And as you know those micro worms can throw up some surprise catches.
An underwater live bait in a bottle would be good to really see whats down there. If there is that many jacks i recon there will be some big mamas in there about somewhere.
Where abouts you from 😂😂 I say wAter not water😂😂
What rod/reel do you use mate? Looking to change my set up 🙂
Can i ask a question please? ..you stated the ponds had `private` signs & you continued `..that means i can legally fish here.` ....how can `you` legally fish on a private pond friend? :)
@@seandaniels9168 The private fishing signs have been put up by the fishing club i am part of
Looks like heaven to me, No road noise, no bivvy encampments, just quiet, nature and fish!

Been hunting forgotten ponds in NI, pike and everything else included 😬 tight lines!
I love how polite you were when the dog's jumped into the water the owner of the dog's apologize and you just say ohh it's ok. I can't say I'd have been so nice 😂 great idea Chris Keep them coming 👍
this new series sounds really interesting. keep going
This is a VERY engaging young man...I don't care if he catches anything...I just love his style......
Lovely lake. Looks like it could hold some nice tench or even small carp? Take a float rod and a tin of corn next time?? That's what I would do anyway. Plus some maggots and bread, obviously.

Keep up the fishing of little hidden gems loving your work 👍👍
Definitely interested in this series! This is how I got in to fishing by fishing little hidden ponds, only about 6-7 months ago

I’d like to see frogs on there, looks perfect 🤙🏻
Live target top water frogs AKA ( hoollipoppers )
Great video mate. Some violent takes 👌
Love those hidden ponds. Some ideas I think could be cool. Micro set up or maybe surface lures ? Awesome video though man, really enjoyed it.
Great vid mate that like you lost looked a nice fish shame about the poaching on there a common thing as usual off the beaten track
Loved that mate great work as always 👌🏻🎣
nice one cheers ,love these types of mystery ponds :)
Really great. Best wishes from Guangzhou !

Great fish , say hi to Dom tell him we miss him .👍

Considering there's lots of small jack pike in there, they must be coming from somewhere. There's got to be some big Momma's in there that are producing these little tackers

Great video mate 👍

Be funny if I’m one of your walking shots that you had on high heels.
And a mini skirt
I'm not a fisherman but i love watching the Video's. I might take it up. What a shame someone can't do anything with these ponds. What a waste.
What are your favorite spinners, i love the Ondex spinners myself. I don't think i've seen you use a spinner yet, might not of seen an episode using em tho.

Fab video again thanks mate just out of curiosity do you ever do a bit of carp fishing? Just thought it might be interesting to see how you get on
Great video, would be interesting to see if there are any big perch in there. What net are you using as have been looking for one like it? Thanks.
That's a cool spot.

Not a bad idea to be fair i'll have to see if i can gain access into the water and try it
