I was baptised as an adult last October 2019 was a wonderful service i felt relieved i had finally done it i came to my faith a couple of years earlier
Thank you for this video. It was very clear with no room for misinterpretation. I can see he joy and peace in J.I. Packer as he talks about this commitment to Christ. I think it's really important that he also spoke about Christians who, if they felt like that's not what they were living out, to go and speak to a trusted Christian friend who can point them in the right direction :)

Baptism is a supernatural event where the Holy Spirit initiates us into the body of Christ by using other believers 1 Corinthians 12:13. Knowing that we have now been buried in Christ and are now seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly realm. Baptism always happens immediately after believing and is always full immersion into water:into Christ body

So many misinterpret it as a water baptism only and get offended when it is written in John 7:38 " whosoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have rivers of living waters flow from within them" water is a spiritual reference to the body of Christ.
The apostolic historic biblical view of holy baptism baptismal regeneration. If you claim to be a Christian and you have not been baptized as an infant, get baptized because baptism is necessary* for salvation.

John 3:16-18. Water baptism never saved one person. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus finished work on the cross. The GIFT of God is eternal life. Water baptism is and outward expression that we have trusted Jesus as the only way of salvation apart from works. Romans 4:5. Romans 11:6. Acts 16:31.
Except it is. Covenant theology (understanding the continuity in scripture) and church history basically prove it. The idea that the covenant sign was expanded to women but now excludes children makes no sense

If you mean the speaker in this video clip, J I Packer, he advocated covenant baptism.
What Packer needs to realize is that infant baptism isn’t Biblical!

He is addressing the meaning of baptism. He doesn't address to whom that covenant sign should be administered.
