- A long-awaited tutorial presenting my process of creating a professional aesthetic album artwork design in a modern style. I have used Adobe InDesign to compose the main aspect of the cover which includes title, image and shape placement, whilst other forms of image-editing has been done in Adobe Photoshop.

since doing art in this style seems achievable on illustrator, what difference is there when using ID or Illustrator? sorry in advance if my question doesn't make sense.
There's no real difference in achieving a similar result whether you use Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign. It's down to personal preference mostly and ease of use. I'm trying to utilise the best of all programs and how it would be done professionally. Generally, Illustrator is used for vector artworks and illustrations, whereas InDesign is intended for either digital or print graphics - the layouts, grids, image & text placement is very beneficial in creating clean, precise and detailed hierarchy structure - as you can see in my artworks.. Sure you can use Illustrator or Photoshop, but if you learn InDesign, it would make the job much easier! You'll also have a wider range of experience within the use of design softwares :) Hope that helps!!
@@artrevell appreciate the help and the clear explanation!

Thank you, I'm planning to make another album cover in Photoshop!
Thanks for this tutorial, where can i find other modern cool looking fonts like that? It seems they are so hard to find, thanks :)
1001 Fonts is a good supplier of these
davidrudnick.org - typelab.fr/ - and - hungarumlaut.com have cool typefaces. davidrudnick definitely has the best but i have no idea how to get/buy them. website doesn't specify anything.
thank for your tutorial very useful for me. Keep it up

Thank you so much... that was really helpful ......ㅠ
Glad it helped! :)
Thanks for this good tutorial, I just couldn't find out how to make a research to find the right glyph, can you tell me how ta do that!
Just click on View > Glyphs. Make sure you have a font selected, I recommend using 'Segoe UI Symbol' which has a good selection of glyphs and symbols! :)
This is a great tutorial, but for some reason I cant find the "multiply" option in my effects panel. It wont show up for me.
Nevermind I just figured it out haha
This is really cool but I’m curious why you use Indesign to create all the lines and why you wouldn’t just do that on photoshop or illustrator
InDesign has proven me the easiest way to create these, but it's fine if you want to use Photoshop or Illustrator :)
artrevell fair enough thanks for the clarification
this is great! how do you search for typefaces/fonts?
The best way is to just search the name of the font on Google and look at different links that provide them and are genuine. If you need more help, just let me know! :)
Nice work man, i have one question and is in the minute 4:13, how do you change the background color and unselect the image?
Thanks! Do you mean the black and white theshold image? If you watch the beginning of the video I show how. Otherwise in InDesign just select the image and apply the stroke. You can always slow down the speed of the video.. Hope that helps :)
@@artrevell Yes, it works, Thanks!
awesome man, could i ask what fonts were used?
Sure!
- Berthold Akzindez Grotesk Extended for plain text/paragraphs
- Segoe UI Symbol for glyhps/symbols
- Fabliaux for title
Hope that helps :)
@@artrevell thanks a million man
@@cheng1768 You're welcome! :)
Hello, on which site do you find the fonts?
1001 Fonts
Well, that's not near professional but nice try. Also where is inDesign?
