I really appreciate your thorough explanation. At the time of making this tutorial I was still in the process of learning things myself, henceforth my tutorial is not meant to be perfect in any way, this isn't an Octane course by any means nor should anyone use this as a professional asset to their learning. I'm just trying my best to show a way for others to create renders that are reminiscent of my art. I'm still learning, and making mistakes is part of the whole process, but I'm more than happy to have already achieved significant steps, and presenting my ideas to others won't hurt anybody :)

When I was making this tutorial at the time I mentioned "The use of the backdrop is to provide additional ambient lighting that is reflected on the edges of the logo's surface. Whilst not necessary, I believe it improves the overall appearance of the final render. That's to say, you are free to do it without a backdrop, but it may give you a totally different result - this is just my technique" but @envy in the comments below said that you can uncheck the camera visibility of your background object via cinema 4d properties > render .. > camera visibility so it keeps the reflection of the light on your text on... Just use whatever works for you! :)

You can use any version to edit the logo, but make sure to export it to Ai Version 8.

Hey, so crypto art is the new trend in the artist community where collectors are able to purchase unique pieces of artwork with a digital signature of authenticity from the original designer, kind of like on an auction where you pay alot of money for something that is one of it's kind or very rare. This is done on blockchain platforms so instead of normal money (USD, GBP, etc) you pay using what is known as 'Ethereum', which works similarly to Bitcoin. There's no real difference in achieving a similar result whether you use Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign. It's down to personal preference mostly and ease of use. I'm trying to utilise the best of all programs and how it would be done professionally. Generally, Illustrator is used for vector artworks and illustrations, whereas InDesign is intended for either digital or print graphics - the layouts, grids, image & text placement is very beneficial in creating clean, precise and detailed hierarchy structure - as you can see in my artworks.. Sure you can use Illustrator or Photoshop, but if you learn InDesign, it would make the job much easier! You'll also have a wider range of experience within the use of design softwares :) Hope that helps!!

I'm not entirely sure how you would be able to keep the light without the HDRI. But if you just use Octane Daylight, you can turn your object and camera downwards by 90° degrees, so in theory you will get a black background but keep the light from above. Hope that helps!

I'd definitely recommend using a pixel size of 3000 x 3000 and 300 dpi :)

@@artrevell i know but i mean with export settings you use when you are done with the artwork and you are gonna to post it on instagram (with the compression and other things like that). (Sorry for my bad english)

@@reparableohio295 compression is inevitable on IG regardless of whatever settings you save.

@@IntuitiveDesigns That's true, I'm not sure how IG judges a piece of work because last time I posted a 4000 px work and the compression was very bad.. But 3000 x 3000 300 dpi works reasonably well.
