    Great vid mate, I feel this is a subject shyed away from by many already sponsored anglers as they don’t want other people eating from the same plate. Looking forward to the carp photography vid. Keep up the good work mate 👍🏻.

    Great content Simon! Good laugh as well, we've all come across these characters on the bank. I am looking for a new dslr do you use that canon 800d for video footage or predominantly for your self takes? Thanks Jay.

      Thanks mate much appreciated. I used the camera for everything and it did a great job. I have since upgraded but would definitely recommend the 800d. I think there's a new version out possibly the 850d

      @@SimonDewCarpFishing thanks Simon Big help! You're correct about the 850d it looks like a great camera, although a used 800d is around half the price currently I may go down that route. Can't wait to start documenting my own angling. Great footage on the secret lake video btw alot of effort gone into that!

      @SimonDewCarpFishing  4 роки тому

      @@ProGamingKieran that was actually not standard on the rods mate but I had them custom made and added them. I use the JAG Rod Lockers nowadays and there's literally no way of getting the rod off the rest on a take now. Total security 👌

    good info for some ...but it all depends where you live as well..if you have got 20 or 30 ponds/lakes .in travel
    distance.your very lucky......in the north east has 10 ish ponds that has a 20lb fish ...
    i invite you to fish the lake e do .....ill bet you your house,for mine.......biggest fish win ,on my pond

    • @SimonDewCarpFishing
      @SimonDewCarpFishing  4 роки тому

      It's not always the size that counts 😜
      Joking aside if you're consistent in catching and taking nice pictures and building your online profile it doesn't matter the size of fish you catch. I get your point though not everyone has access to waters with quality fish but it's down to how much effort youre willing to put in to get what you want. I live on the Isle of Wight and travel a few times a year to Oxford etc.

    Same in many sports. Some wannabe writes to say A cricket company. They tell the company how good they are. Said company offers them a bat gloves pads etc and a load of other stuff they will never need and asks for £500 . Young wannabe gets dad to pay and wannabe struts around saying he is sponsored. All bollocks .

    • @SimonDewCarpFishing
      @SimonDewCarpFishing  4 роки тому

      Yeah loads of people seem to think they're sponsored these days and that's fine if it makes them happy I guess. Real sponsorship is acheivable though if you work at it 👍

    The dark side of carp fishing the #taggers the days of Terry hearns coming through and getting a wage to fish are gone ,you got more chance of winning the lottery.i stopped carping end of the 90's just started again 5 -6 years ago it's gone insane just go fishing the price of bait is cheaper now than what it was in the 90's rolling your own was how it was 5-7pound a kilo that's with out the additives so do the maths,find agood bait firm buy in bulk you will find a good price and let your angling do the talking ignore all this # tagging bullshit if your with a good bait firm things will start falling at your feet,but you have to spend money to get anything out of this ✌✌

    • @SimonDewCarpFishing
      @SimonDewCarpFishing  4 роки тому

      Fair comment mate. Carp fishing has changed in recent years so why not change with it? If you work hard you can achieve your own personal goals whatever they are 👍

    • @djdoomo33
      @djdoomo33 4 роки тому

      Well said adam ive been carping over 26 years and it has been ruined in the last 10.... nobody seems to help each other anymore its all clicky ... peg saving and idiots thinking their the best angler cos they have a sponsor . Anybody can be a field tester make your own bait !!!! And anybody can catch all the fish in the lake if you live on the bank ... time is the best ... not the angler .....and this is true having friends who are sponsored and knowing how much they live on the bank to get the fish . If i was doing 5 nights a week on a lake and mr sponsor was doing 2 nights a week i would be putting more fish on the bank than him , so whos the better angler ? So sponsorship does not mean your a better angler just means you get paid to fish and review and blog about tackle and bait . To many dick heads on the bank now with no respect for each other and bitching about each others bait and tackle . Ive seen it all what goes on at trade shows and behind the scenes and slagging each other off over internet . Anyway after my rant on a plus note there is still some decent anglers i meet on the bank with a love for the sport and respect for the angler in the next swim without being dragged in to the circus of what carp fishing is today .
