Only difference is Wuhan failed to cover it up while in this story, Paris successfully cover it up but in exchange killing Rosemary's mother for that. So the same thing that happened way back in December 2019 at Wuhan was almost similar to this story. So of course, in real life, containing the covid 19 spread in December 2019 was not successful.

Because already in real life beginning December 2019, the pandemic does feel like it became similar to this kind of story but except that it took place in Paris. Way back in 2019, there were doctors who were forced to get involved with cover up and it was against their will. In this story, the doctors and the rest of the government was willing to get involved with cover up all that to cover up the incident. So I can understand that this story is heart breaking since it did also happened in real life too.
This is a true story so they say in 1889 or 1900s i read about this in a book years ago and also Alfred Hitchcock even did this is one of his movies i wonder if this is really true
