  • Took out the Mx Nixies to do some work on them. Tossed in some Macchiato linears from HMX and man it has not disappointed! The Polygon-7 is a really nice board when it comes to price, acoustics, and aesthetics. Using Maiz and Unikeys Clip In Stabilizers and they have definitely changed my decision for a go to clip in stab. Hope everyone is having a great start to the week thus far. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

I've used mechanical keyboards for a long time, but I'm pretty new to the wider world of customization. From what I've heard, I like the sound of the LEOBOG Reaper in the Aula F99 keyboard. It's very "thocky" and not a hollow clicky like the old cherry blues. I like that chunky sound with some creaminess mixed in to soften it.

@@VeritatisQ hey appreciate the comment on the video, and hope you’re having a good day! That’s what I do enjoy about the hobby. There’s always a preference for everyone. I do prefer the deeper and thockier sound profile at times, but feel it’s not going to differ much from board to board. I’ve been enjoying no foams and really letting the materials and switches do the talking. Of course experimenting with switches to change sounds accordingly. The lines becoming harder and harder to decipher when it comes to custom keyboards with some great companies coming out with amazing boards at such competitive pricings

@@metalskinn460 from the switches I’ve had in the board so far. It seems like it’ll make any and every switch shine. Macchiatos are so light on the typing feel. Just effortlessly clacking away on things, highly recommend the switches if you don’t have a set already!

Do u prefer this 7 over neo65/70 ?As those also lie in the same price range.

@@guywithaudacity445 that’s a tough question. When comparing the two, there both outstanding companies who bring a lot to the table. With Neo having the ability to gasket mount as well as o mount. While the polygon 7 goes gaskets and top mount. The sound and quality are hand and hand. Typing angle and front height differ a bit so depends on what you find comfortable, both of them can achieve some top tier sound. To wrap things up, I will say I have a Neo 80, Neo 65, and a Neo ergo, and I find myself constantly wanting to use the Polygon 7. Been daily driving it since I built it up for the video and have been beyond happy with this board! Hope it’s helpful, I appreciate the comment on the video, and hope you’re having a great day!

Sounds great! Whats your opinion on the board?

Hey, Thanks for the feedback! The board itself is an outstanding choice for the cost. Very well done design when it comes to acoustic, super clean weight on the back being PVD Mirror, and with the mag connectors and new ball catch system it truly makes building/rebuilding such a breeze. Highly recommend if you're thinking about it. The push buttons are absurdly addicting to press. Icing on the cake is the board is dual mounting, prefer gaskets? You'll have a set included. Prefer top mount? A set of pc tabs and screws will be included to go top mount as well. Well worth every dime you'll spend easily!
