The legend himself! I couldn’t agree more, feel they definitely took their time when creating this design. Taking away from prior boards such as the Dr-70F and Flip-6p. The bringing of the ball catch system was icing on the cake. I appreciate the kind words!
Nice work. I have both previous Dr boards and ordered this one. I have previously enjoyed PC plate and case foam only. I wonder if this one will need case foam to sound a bit more full.
@@jiwany hey there, I appreciate the comment and welcome to the channel! For the polygon, I’d say it’s pretty full sounding from my testings thus far. Have tried all foams, but I’ve been really enjoying the board foamless. Been using a few different switches in the board as well. All have been sounding absolutely phenomenal! I would say miles ahead of the Dr-70F. Flip-6P was a great board but I feel the polygon is still so far ahead of things for Daring run
@@SatchmoBronson I appreciate the comment on thing! Welcome to the channel, Daring Run has been absolutely hitting recently. The Dr-70F is a nice board, hope you’re enjoying things! The typing angle on the polygon is a bit steeper than I’d like, but to be quite honest after using the board for the last 5 days or so, I haven’t found the typing angle to be uncomfortable. It’s not to shabby at all to be quite honest!
You just keep getting better and better. I can definitely tell the effort put into it. I was skeptical to type on a 9 degree angle but didn’t take long to get used to (especially if front height is low). As for the Cherry switches, how are you liking it? You should start modding it to unleash its full potential.
@dadtech1981 I agree, the 9-degree angle takes some getting used to, but the payoff is huge. For a front height anything sub 20mm is a must for me lol. As for the Mx Nixies I'm loving the switches! As you can tell they’re stock, I’ll probably lube them and order some films when I can. You and a few others have definitely inspired me to give them a go 😄 I appreciate the feedback, I’m trying to get better. Still along road a head, but with every video like this I try and take something away and look to improve on it. The board speaks for itself on a lot of the shots!
Nice video, Desten! Good to see DR opt for ball catch system on this board. You know me... because the board is tri-mode only first thing I'd do is remove the batteries and replace them with brass plates :)
My guy Anson, i hope all has been well man Happy New Years! Yeah ive been mentioning to them how it would make things such a breeze when rebuilding with a Ball catch and im glad to see they've listened. I honestly gotta give that a shot on the brass plates because man it seemed well worth it! Thanks for the feedback brother
All foam version - good, nice sound! No foam - ULTRAMEGASHIT!!!! Soooo bad sound!!!! Any buyers, pls, no repeat this awfull no foam build!!!111 Its trash! Its so good board... Just always use all foam!
@@Uve_Watabary welcome to the channel and I appreciate the feedback! What’s great about the hobby is everything is subjective. What you may find sounding bad others may find enjoyable. All foams are always nice, but in my opinion can grow tiring from them always sounding the same. Going foamless just lets the board and switches do the talking. Hope you’re having a great day!
@@Filippo_1717 it’s a barebones kit. Plates, foam kit, stabs, switches, and keycaps are all separate. They do offer the set of plates for $20. I would pick up a foam kit as well to change up acoustics to your liking. For the cost of the board, I will say it’s well worth it going based on the time I’ve been fortunate enough to use it. Worth every nickel, dime, and penny! Hope you’re having a great day!
This is definitely my favorite board by them so far. Great job!

@@DestenSheng I will be cautiously very expectant for my boards arrival then!
This would have gone so hard with a less extreme case angle, like 5 degrees. I just built a DR70-F and it's a killer board.
