Couple people have pointed out the choppiness of the video at certain points, like at 3:00. I use Xbox's "start recording" feature to capture my runs, and they do get a little shitty/choppy if they're longer than a couple of minutes. If you watch some of my other videos, they all have that same problem. If you know of a better recording strategy that I could use, please let me know, because I'm tired of the videos looking like garbage at certain points.
The end of the second world has me beat, by that time my thumb is so utterly broken i cant bring myself to figure out how to get those 3 slides in a row
For the last jump in zone 2, jump kinda late off the starting platform. Then you wanna clip the red ledge, turn, and slide/jump across. The slide is very late, so you should have plenty of time to turn and face the portal after you clip the red ledge. I'd recommend nailing down the slide timing first, then trying to incorporate the turn after clipping the ledge. You have more time than you might think to turn before sliding. The first couple jumps in zone 3 are the exact same thing. The only difference is that you have to re-gain sprint on the 2nd ledge.
Make sure you are completely past that wall before you repulse. There should be nothing above your head when you repulse, the timing can be tricky to learn. I like to slide close to the wall, so that I don't have to wait as long before repulsing. Also, make sure you are looking straight down when you repulse, or else you won't get enough height.
If you face the wall and just walk into it, you'll notice you get a little bounce at the top of the small ramp at the bottom of the wall. In other words, if you walk up that ramp and into the wall, you get a little height boost/bounce. When you get that bounce, you want to jump and hold backward towards the ledge at the same time. Crouching is also required, but I bet you already knew that. Anyway, that's just how I do it. when walking/running up the ramp, you can face forwards, backwards, or sideways. Find which direction gives you the most comfort/control over your movement and stick with it.
look for me in the public lobbies if you want. I'm in there all the time and love helping people learn the map. It's much more enjoyable than speedrunning.
Did they overhaul this map? I remember playing it for hours when it came out and getting as far as the obstacle at 2:57, but half of the obstacles in this video aren’t the least bit familiar.
When 343 launched season 4, it broke/changed a lot of movement mechanics. Consequently, the map had broken jumps for a while before the creators came back a couple months ago, fixed everything, and have been updating it somewhat regularly ever since.
Epic run. I've seen you a couple times running this. Back before it got reworked after 343 broke like half the physics for every parkour map. Are there any other parkour maps of this caliber in the game? Or is it still just the select few.
I love a ton of maps on this game, but if I'm being honest, it still is just a select few that are on this level, if any. This map, LG Jump Progression, The Climb are still the big 3. I'm a huge fan of maps like KZ Orange & CH Blast, although they get a lot of hate which I can understand to an extent. Maps like those are really challenging and can be flat out unfair at times lol. There's been some new maps made recently that are really well done, like Icey Parkour, Adrenaline, and Parkour Tutorial With Hints.
Haha maybe in the future, but for now I'm pleased with this time. Running this map can be relaxing if I'm playing well, but more often than not it's just exhausting. Once I get to the last jump in the desert my hands start shaking lol. I'm just glad I was able to get all the big skips showcased in a run without making too many mistakes.
@@Miyagi321 it’s nice to know you get nervous on certain jumps too lol, you make it look so easy. But yes I agree, it can be relaxing but mistakes can make you lose composure and it’s stressful but I still go back to it haha. either way sick run dude look forward to seeing more future vids!
I use Xbox's recording feature to get these videos, and the recordings get choppy when they're longer than just a couple of minutes. If you watch some of my other runs, they all have that choppiness at random points. I'm actually surprised no one has mentioned it before, and I'm not sure of a better way to record my runs
I'm not sure if you're talking about the drop slide across the gap or the ramp slide right after it, so I'll explain both. To get that slide across the gap, I'm strafing to my right as I land on the top ledge. So on controller, I'm basically sprinting diagonally while moving my right stick as little as possible. Left stick is angled to the right during the short period I sprint on the top ledge, as far right as I can push it without losing sprint. Once I drop from the top ledge onto the grassy lower ledge, I slide as soon as I can. So I'm pressing slide as soon as I drop, not when I land, to get that massive speed boost. Then you jump pretty soon after. There's a few different ways to do that jump, and it's much easier for mouse & keyboard players because they don't need to strafe sprint, they can just whip their camera back left after dropping to get the forward direction after sliding. Once I slide/jump across the gap, I just sprint up the ramp, turn around when I'm almost at the top, and press slide when my camera is facing the ramp. There's a different way to do this one as well, but it's slightly slower. I realize the explanation of the first skip is really confusing. It's hard for me to explain. Keep an eye out for me or someone else in the public lobbies, I'd be more than happy to help you learn it.
@@Miyagi321 Yeah I was asking about the curb slide across the gap. And I do play on mnk so maybe I'll have to continue to try this. Thanks for trying to explain. Also, any interest among the runners to try the other skip that's basically in the same spot but you jump off the grassy ledge towards the teleporter and slide off that little "ramp" that someone posted in the trick jumping discord? I feel like if someone got that down it would cut a lot of time off runs.
Ah the dreaded window skip haha. Sometimes I'll sit there trying that for 20-30 minutes before I hit it. It is a massive time save, but the success rate is too low for me. It's a borderline frame perfect landing spot for the slide, and the jump timing isn't forgiving either. I've probably tried it well over 1000 times and only landed it about 30-40 times. So to answer your question, we don't really go for it at the moment, but all it takes is one person finding a strategy to make it somewhat consistent for that to change. I wouldn't be surprised if DeputyGoober found a strat for it eventually. @@ElementBouncer
The jump at 2:11 is the exact same concept as the jump at 2:05 . Sprint & jump late off the starting platform, make sure you clip the ledge on the wall, then slide after clipping. The only difference between the two timestamps I listed is that the one at 2:11 has 2 in a row. This means you have to re-sprint on the second ledge you clip before dropping into a slide. So the sequence is: Sprint & jump late off starting platform ---> clip the ledge on the wall ---> slide & jump (a later slide will give you more speed/distance) ---> press sprint as you're about to clip the second ledge ---> slide & jump
I'm in the public lobbies all the time, so if you ever see me in there, I can help explain any jumps that give you trouble. There's also a lot of other people who play this map that love helping people. Use the in-game text chat to ask for help if you get stuck.
I love how all I see is unachievable jumps that lead nowhere but a half wall and its somehow the direction youre supposed to go 😐. This is either madly hard, or youre on speed meth to be able to do it. I have no fuckin clue how half of this makes any sense. Theres no arrows saying this way. Its justa tightly jumbled mess of shit that doesnt look right. The only thing that made sense was the wall runs and drop slides. Everything else looks like you just found a way to skip stuff and it made my brain take a shit.
Pretty accurate summary haha. It's all just practice/repetition. I've played the map a billion times since it came out, so I've just learned and memorized how everything works. A lot of the skips you see were surprisingly just found recently. If I were to play through the map normally, it'd make a lot more sense. It's mostly just "get to the next cone" and pretty linear progression, but it can definitely be confusing at times, especially if you've never played it.

never knew the translocator could be used like this, very creative
It’s amazing how the equipment can be utilized in this game. Especially the translocator. It’s honestly awesome
BABE WAKE UP MR MIYAG JUST POSTED A NEW PB 😤😤😤
SUPER FRIENDS RISE UP 🎉
Let's gooooo!!!
There's a whole dimension of Halo Infinite movement that I never thought existed. Might come back to the game just for this!
Please do. This map has a ton of regulars that play it all the time. Really laid back and we all love helping people learn the jumps.
When i grow up i want to be just like you Mr. Miagee
Drops slides in this game make the dopamine burst.
So true
I'm so glad my recommended is this elite
Shyway gonna be feening after seeing this
Geez. What an awesome run. This type of 5hing should be part the halo essport annual comp.
Thank you, glad you found it interesting. That would be awesome if it made into comp Halo. It's too small of a community at the moment but who knows.
Elite. I was in the lobby the other night when everyone was practicing that shortcut jump in the second world 😂
So smooth, awesome skill
We need wallrunning in the game now idc
Impressive! Good work, dude!
I'm not angry that I can't pull off these moves, I've just upset.
Look for me in the public lobbies and I'll teach ya. I love helping people learn this stuff

There's no universe where I would finish this map. Let alone in under 10 mins

How do you return automatically? I mean, when you fail and want to try again but avoid jumping to death?
You use the ping, or the "mark enemy" button. For me on controller, it's up on the D-Pad. Just spawns you back at the most recent cone you touched
What’s with all the camera jump cuts?
