I saw one the other day that was a little bit under eight minutes. But honestly, I think this is cleaner. Looked really good. Nice job and great commitment.
if you face the wall and just walk into it, you'll notice you get a little bounce at the top of the small ramp at the bottom of the wall. In other words, if you walk up that ramp and into the wall, you get a little height boost/bounce. When you get that bounce, you want to jump and hold backward towards the ledge at the same time. Crouching is also required, but I bet you already knew that. Anyway, that's just how I do it. when walking/running up the ramp, you can face forwards, backwards, or sideways. Find which direction gives you the most comfort/control over your movement and stick with it.
You might already know, but what I'm doing there is a huge skip, so it's not the intended way of doing that jump. It's very difficult and I'd say there is definitely randomness to it, even if only a little. I'm essentially sprinting/jumping onto the barricade ledge, and right before I land on it, I quickly move my camera left then back to the right. Then I slide right after my spartan clips the ledge and is falling off. The camera movement is for reducing collision with parts of the wall/barricade I don't want to touch. Ideally, you want to just barely clip that ledge I'm jumping on. If you look at it when you play, you'll notice the bottom of the barricade curves outward. If you try to do this jump, you'll notice your spartan tending to slide to the left after clipping the ledge. My theory is that looking left/right reduces or eliminates your contact with that portion of the barricade, and allows you to slide straight. I won't lie to you tho, I have like a 10% success rate for this jump at most. It's extremely annoying to learn, so just be patient when trying it.
Wicked man, thanks for taking the time to respond. Wanna dm your gamer tag? We should run it. I completed it in 18:55 yesterday. Haha I’m inching closer. This barricade jump is such a huge skip. I tried it yesterday (never made it), and I seemed to get the closest by moving left to right after/upon clipping the barricade, then looking at the barricade as I slide. I definitely tended to slide left at varying degrees, the left to right movement helped. Do you jump at the end of your late slide, or do you simply slide riding the bottom of the barrier and clamber up?
My gamer tag is Mr Miyagi321. I'm in the public lobbies very often, so if you ever look at my profile on xbox and see that I'm playing Halo, feel free to join my game or ask if we can play this map. There's dozens of us that really enjoy helping people and giving advice, so it's not a hassle or anything! As for the skip we were talkin about, definitely jump as late as you can after sliding. The timing on that jump is very unforgiving. Jump too late and it won't register, jump too early and you'll just smack your head on the underside of the box. It's a patience test for sure, so just keep trying and trying.@@chrism7646

Mr Miyag with the heaters 🔥
You are insane in this parkour run
Damn 🔥
On the jump at 3:36 to 3:40, I’ve been stuck there since last season, any tips for that one?
I just can’t seem to get the height necessary to get up to the ledge

How do you do 47s-56s? Having trouble getting the late jump/ momentum. Hug the barricade after falling off?

I might never finish that game, damn
I'm in the public lobbies all the time. If you ever see me in there, just ask for help if you want. I love helping people learn these jumps.
