when i first discovered your channel, i instantly saved numerous videos of yours on a playlist of mine and im currently marathoning them 😂 really love your channel! 💓
My favorite book until now is: The Angel maker by Thomas Brijs. It is a dark adult novel about a doctor with autism and some very creepy secrets. I read it when I was about sixteen years old and until today (about 7-8 years later) it still stays with me. The writer and book are origanally Dutch (hence the last name). I would like so much to see more of it on booktube. The book deserves it (even if it is not your regular style of fiction, it is still a good read imo). Also: I am currently getting into classics as well, so I like seeing what you buy/bought to get inspiration.
As a photographer, I'm THRILLED you printed your photos! I love the fat travel album! I remember looking through my mom's albums, and it's so amazing. Your photos look beautiful!
I used to work at a new and used bookstore, and I feel your pain. Every day I would find something new or new books came in and the temptation to buy all the books was so high. Now that I no longer work at a bookstore I rarely buy books because I don't get the wonderful employee discount. :P I do highly recommend picking up Vengeance Road! It was one of my favorite books last year, and I'm thinking about rereading it again!
I totally relate to what you were saying about buying more books because of your employee discount, because I work at Barnes and Noble and it's awesome but also dangerous for my wallet! So much temptation surrounding me and seeing new books constantly makes me want to buy more!
Great haul! My biggest suggestion for Carry On is to go into it optimistic and not comparing it to Harry Potter while you read it! Hope you enjoy it :)
You said that you like books about animals, have you ever read a dog's purpose and a dog's journey? I love both those books, if you haven't read them I would recommend them
I love your photo books! I have the same album of my trip to England two years ago and I think physical pictures make you feel so much more than digital copies.
I do have the Shakespeare's colouring book too ! Shakespeare's nerds in the house. Bought it at the Globe. Feels the same way about intricate colouring books !
Robinson Crusoé is read in high school here in Portugal. I believe it's about a boy/man that has to survive in a desert Island.. ps: I'm sooo excited to read My lady Jane!!😃
The Girl from Everywhere is one of my favorite books of 2016 thus far! It came out around the time of Passenger (which is sort of the same concept) and I love TGFE so, so, so, SO much more. You're going to adore it. I need to get myself a copy of it so I can reread it >.>;. So excited for the sequel.
Congrats! I worked at indigo and LOVED it! Expect most of your paycheque to go back into the store.. There's just soooo much to buy with all of the books and home decor! 😍♥️ especially with that discount!! Just wait until Christmas!!
I'm so happy to see that you showed the book I got you at Shakespeare&Co (The Fault in Our Stars) ! Again it was so lovely to meet you, you are an amazing and beautiful person. We miss you here in Paris ! Great video, as always. x
I really enjoyed The Girl From Everywhere :D Hope you do too!! Those picture books are too cute!! Also The Other Boleyn Girl and other Philippa Gregory books are great picks for Tudor Era reads!!
Ooooh Tarnished! Must read that in obsessed with Tudor historical fiction! Have you read Philippa Gregory? She's kind of the forerunner of Tudor historical fiction at the moment? Another great series about the wars of the roses is By Conn Igguldon (probably spelling that very wrong) the first book is Ravenspur x
Hi Hailey! I was wondering how often you reorganize your shelves? Do you do it every month, or after every book haul, or every two months? I love love love my rainbow shelves, but they are a pain to keep organized, so I have this huge stack of recently read books piled on top of the bookcase, and every couple of months when I'm in the mood, I actually sort them into the shelves. So I was wondering how others with rainbow shelves do it, haha :) loved this book haul btw! And I'm so glad you had a great time in Paris :)
I've been buying quite a few classics lately, but I have been reading them, I'm just buying them faster than I can read them :3 I've almost finished The Count of Monte Cristo though!
The first half or so of Robinson Crusoe was sooo dull xD It might be because I'm not into sailing :P But once he FINALLY arrives on the island it's a fine read :)
Love your photo book from your France trip! I've been living in Ireland since January and am heading in a few weeks - you inspired me to do the same thing!! Love your channel :) keep doing what you're doing!
I really hope you like Carry On, but since you didn't really enjoy The Cursed Child I don't know.. At least I really got the same feeling with both books. But don't let that stop you, I loved both :)
I love coloring too!! I only use colored pencil tho because I'm kind of a perfectionist and I feel like marker would be hard to use. What brand of marker do you use? Is it anything special or is it just Crayola brand?
The Girl from Everywhere was one of my most anticipated reads of this year too, but I was SOOOO disappointed. The concept is amazing but then, like, nothing is done with it. Nothing. And the unnecessary romance takes over and is just bleh. I have a review on my channel but it's chock full of spoilers. Just... so disappointing :( My Lady Jane sounds SO interesting! I've seen a few people talk about it lately, and it sounds great. Those James Joyce books are STUNNING too, I'm so jealous. I don't even like Joyce but I feel like I need them in my life :')
You are amazing!!! I found out about you today and this is the 4th video of yours that I'm watching.... I'm going to watch more right now!!! Also, I love the fact that you have so many books!!! I wish I had more books .... Btw purple is my favourite colour too! 💜💜💜
your haul was amazing.. i read carry on.. it was ok.. sometimes great.. all over okay.. I am interested to know how you like it.. I have seen vengence road in a few places.. It is intriguing me.. i think i will pick it up 😁
don't worry you're not the only one with the problem of buying difereny editions of classics. my favorite one is the scarlet letter and I have so many editions of it lol 😂
Hi, I love your videos💕 I have a question for you: have you ever readed Alone on the world (the story of Remi, don't know if I used the right transulation)? Bc it's one of my favorite books but I have never met someone who had readed the book (sorry for my bad English)
Have you read Zoella's Girl Online series? If you haven't I would really recommend it. So far there is Girl Online, Girl Online: On Tour and in November Girl Online: Going Solo. This is one of my favourite Series ever so I would really recommend it.
well she's too advanced of a reader to read those books I have to say I did not find them interesting for me but I can see why you could like these books
20 minute book haul??? YES PLZ
Took the words right out of my mouth ❤
I LOVE what Penguin is doing with their classics and their covers!!! SO PRETTY :D
That photo book is so nice!
Thank you! 😁💜

Chapters was like my dream retail job! Congrats! I'd use that employee discount like there was no tomorrow lol.
I bought 15 books for myself in July to reward myself for getting through exams alive lmao

I love how your books are color coordinated!
Bought like three books today just because you talk about them in your videos so much!
My favorite book until now is: The Angel maker by Thomas Brijs. It is a dark adult novel about a doctor with autism and some very creepy secrets. I read it when I was about sixteen years old and until today (about 7-8 years later) it still stays with me.

Great haul! My biggest suggestion for Carry On is to go into it optimistic and not comparing it to Harry Potter while you read it! Hope you enjoy it :)
Can you do a video where you show all of the classic books you have along with the different versions you have and where to get them?
You said that you like books about animals, have you ever read a dog's purpose and a dog's journey? I love both those books, if you haven't read them I would recommend them
Yes! I loved those too... Very unique concept and cute story! :)
I love those books so much!

I've been to England and Paris as well! Such beautiful places!
I feel the same way about pictures! I love having them in person cause it makes them seem more real. Also it takes up less storage on my phone 😂
Your bookshelf is so pretty! Love all the books you got!
I recommend a book called Hush, Hush! It is amazing, and I am very picky when it comes to books. You should check it out!
Congrats! I worked at indigo and LOVED it! Expect most of your paycheque to go back into the store.. There's just soooo much to buy with all of the books and home decor! 😍♥️ especially with that discount!! Just wait until Christmas!!

Working at chapters and having a discount would be deadly ...
I may have misunderstood you, but the Arabian night is not from Africa, it's actually from Asia (middle east is in Asia)
I get A Thousand and One Nights and Arabian Nights mixed up, according to the synopsis of The Girl from Everywhere it's in Africa!

No offense, but is this kind of BS? PLEASE don't take offense :)
Laurein Marielle Mateo I wouldn't say it's BS but it definitely wasn't the best book I have read.
well she's too advanced of a reader to read those books I have to say I did not find them interesting for me but I can see why you could like these books
Great haul! I love your videos
Robinson Crusoe is a society criticism through the adventure :)
(it's not a spoiler)
what markers do you use for colouring :) x
