    Just happen to be going back and looking at your old videos… I need my Tammy fix lol. When I saw this playlist and watched the first video I couldn’t believe my ears… Thank you so much for doing this series. I have had adrenaline rushes for a few years now. Doctors didn’t know what it was... sometimes I call it seizures or migraines…But hearing you say anxiety attacks made more sense. I get them when I am awake and I do get them when I am asleep and they wake me up. Thank you for sharing this; for telling us we’re not crazy and the symptoms albeit weird are normal for women in pre-and post menopause. You’re just a blessing! Thank you again for this series and for all you share with us!

    I have used everything....perimenopause hormone fluctuations have literally changed my hair texture, and causes thinning. This shampoo and conditioner is the only one that truly hydrates and immediately it felt like it was nourishing my scalp. It's Soooooo worth it.

    Tammy, I recently heard about this line of products and since my hair has turned gray and I have very fine, thin hair, I thought this might be a good thing for me to try. Well, all you fine AND thin haired ladies think twice before spending this kind of money on these products. It's not that I don't see the value in them, but the conditioner and the Silver Lining Mask, made my hair so silky, it literally made my hair stick close to my head. Unfortunately, on top of having fine, thin hair, it it bone straight. The shampoo is wonderful, however. It only takes about a little over a dime size to suds up a huge amount of suds on my head. That's how little hair I have. And I really like the Charcoal exfoliating product. As for the serum, I agree, it isn't greasy at all, but one drop and my whole head is wet! 😂 So, this was a huge, expensive fail for me. Hate to make such a negative review, but I think these products are wonderful, but for people who already have a headful of hair! Which I guess I should have known.😥

      Janette Carrell Shampoo with some clay in it will give tons of volume. I sometimes just add a bit of clay if I cannot find an affordable one but I did stock up on igk 1995 shampoo while it was on sale.

      @janettecarrell 5 років тому +1

      Tracy ,what is igk 1995 shampoo and where do you buy it?

    • @TracyD2
      @TracyD2 5 років тому +2

      Janette Carrell I bought it on their site www.igkhair.com/products/1995-2-in-1-shampoo-texturizer Sephora sells I believe. I won’t pay full price for it though. The bottle isn’t that big. I think it’s on sale at Sephora as well. It’s has some clays in it. You wash your hair leave it on for a minute then rinse. It surprisingly not drying either but my hair is longish so I use conditioner ears down. I’m starting to see more hair products with clay in it and it works amazingly well for thickness. I would look out for them.

      I too am gray & thin. The shampoo gives me so much static I can’t stan itWasted my $ also. The hair serum also make my hair oily looking. Probably because it’s so thin especially right in front above my forehead

    I totally agree with you that beauty is not defined by age. It is looking our best at any age. You just keep getting better and better. What better person to get hair care suggestions than someone who has beautiful hair which you do. Thanks for the recommendations.

    I agree that beauty companies should use more mature models to promote their products, especially when they are geared towards them. My issue is that my hair is dry and curly but I lose so much when I wash it. I usually wash it twice a week.

    Tammy, I appreciate all your in-depth reviews. I shared you with my doctor 👩🏻‍⚕️the other day. She is an MD but specializes in female issues. She was impressed, as I am 🙋🏼‍♀️, with you. Not sure I ever shared with you that I also was a cosmetologist in a past life 😏 so I KNOW you know what you are talking about. I too have/had thick fine hair. I am 58 getting closer to 59 and last month had almost half of my hair fall out, I think 🤔, from a severe illness I had. I had purchased a line of charcoal scalp scrub, shampoo 🧴 and conditioner to start using, for the same reasons you have brought up. So important to have a clean scalp. I believe that plugged hair follicles cause a lot of hair loss. I am excited to try this line. I will finish what I have, and purchase the items not offered in the line I am using. Very excited to be on this journey with you. The line I am using can be purchased at Ulta and Amazon. It is a cheaper alternative for your users who do not want to pay the prices of Better Not Younger. I think we have probably both learned over the years you get what you pay for. However, there are great dupes out there. The line I am currently using is Not Your Mother’s etc...for those that want to try a charcoal scalp scrub, shampoo and conditioner 🤔 Many blessings, love, peace, and happiness
    Susan 🥰💄💋

    Thanks for the reviews, Tammy. I like your overall style. As a 44 yr old in premature menopause, and on a budget, I've been getting scared about the recent temporal recession I'm noticing. 2 DHA blockers I've recently discovered: saw palmetto, nettle extract (root or leaf). They are cheaper than branded products and have a reasonable success rate. Put it this way, if they were lottery tickets, you'd risk it!

I have 67 year old fine thinning hair i really appreciate this information! I am looking forward for your review after long term use. I see way too many seniors that have hair that looks like straw, I don't ever want to look like that so thank you for a product review on a line that I feel I can use to have healthy shiney hair as a senior. Your hair is gorgeous!

    Hi I always had extremely thick course textured long/wavy/curly hair all my life. About 2 years ago I was on hormone treatment for fibroids (the same hormones as the morning after pill in a lower dose taken over a six month period). It made me shed so much hair that i lost about half my hair. I had then what looked like a normal amount of hair so it looked ok. I had my last period November 2018 and this year I noticed more thinning omg. I did a fair bit of research and started taking collagen and HA supplements. I also switched to the cgm using no silicones or heat. This has helped but I want to emphasise my hair wasn't really fine or thin, it was just thinning. The chemical products available didn't appeal as my hair is very dry (hair, skin, nails everything) and I was worried they would be drying. Like Tammy volumising products don't tend to have enough moisture for this dry hair. It is helping but no miracle cure i'm afraid. The shedding has slowed down and I have baby hair growth, so it is working but slowly. My hair looks ok at the moment so I'll continue as I am at present. Best wishes.
    PS I am 47.

Please keep us posted! Thanks again!

    Tammy, I was so excited about trying this product. I live in the desert and I’m menopausal and my scalp, skin and hair are extremely dry. My scalp has been flaking terribly for about a month. I tried shampoos Nioxin for flaking scalp and Neutrogena T Gel neither worked. I also went to the doctor and I was prescribed a cream ( Fluocinoide) it worked a little but not great. Sephora has a kit that has the charcoal shampoo ( full size) and a trial size of the volumizing shampoo and conditioner. I’m a licensed hairstylist like you, I can get hair care products at wholesale prices, and like you I have fine hair and a lot of it, so I do think this is a little pricey. I do think the bottle of the charcoal shampoo is genius, I was able to really get in and scrub my scalp and the shampoo and conditioner are lovely, they smell great and left my hair beautifully conditioned. I have only used it once but so far so good. I’m really impressed. The best part. No more flakes. I’m so glad you told us about this new product line. I always listen to your recommendations . Thanks again

    • @kathyrrrr
      @kathyrrrr 5 років тому

      Update I returned the shampoo and conditioner. It didn’t get rid of the flakes in my hair like it said it would. It smells great and my hair was hydrated and had a lot of body. It is a descent product but without getting rid of the flakes, I felt that the price was too high .

    Your hair is beautiful as always! Glad you told us about these products! Also, when I commented on your last video I forgot to mention that I was excited that you spoke about the Lancôme lipstick? I had already discovered them and purchased 6 different colors. I LOVE the formula and the shades are gorgeous. I don’t have the Queen Ruby but I may look at it again. My coloring is very different from yours but I can wear most colors pretty successfully. Just wanted to let your other subscribers know that they might want to check them out. Since I am 71 I can speak to the issue of aging lips and I have found that these lipsticks wear very well on me. Have a wonderful weekend!😀

    Hi Tammy, I just came across this video when looking for reviews on Better not Younger products. I have always had long hair mid back, it looked thick but my hairdresser told me it was actually fine but Lots of it... Like 80's hair LOL Around December I noticed more and more hair was coming out in the Shower and then I was starting to see my scalp in some parts it was so thin. When researching hair loss it said to take Biotin Supplements so I bought some and I contacted my Dermatologist she did blood work but it came back everything was fine so I'm not sure why this is happening to me. There is no hereditary issues on either side of my family. She said it should grow back but it might take awhile. Oh and I am in Menopause too, I'm 58 but luckily have not had to start dying it yet. She did have a thought it could be because over the summer from June til mid October I suffered severe daily back pain. I barely ate or slept because the pain was so bad and resulting in rapid weight loss and I litterly cried for 4 months straight. She said the High stress might have done this but she didn't really know.
    I saw an Infomercial end of January with this product so I took a chance and ordered it. I have been using the Serum for about 4 wks and their Shampoo & Conditioner for 3wks. I have not noticed any difference yet though. How long do you think it will take to work if it does at all? Any tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated too. You look fabulous you would never know you were 60!! Thank you Lisa

    this looks really good! I will say that in my mid 50s now, I started taking Saw Palmetto/DHT blocker twice a day and it has really helped. I noticed this ingredient in some of these products. There is a lot of good research on SP. Hair loss is so discouraging. My mother had it too but didn't do anything to help. I'm hoping that with better options to help that it won't be as bad for me but I do shed alot. Menopause made a huge difference in changing my hair.

    Hi Tammy...These products look interesting and I'm going to check into them...Thankfully, for me my hair and skin are hanging in there (though we'll see what happens as I continue to head into my 50's...:) but I think the thing that has helped me is Biotin and Collagen...I've been taking those since my 30's and I think it's really helped my hair/skin...Also, I don't wash my hair everyday, AND I rarely blow dry my hair, partly because I hate to do it (takes forever) and partly because I'm lazy...:) I appreciate you bringing these to us, and like I said will check it out..By the way, your hair always looks beautiful!! After my mother was pregnant with me her hair fell out, as it does, but her hair did not grow back. After menopause it became even thinner. Now her hair is sharpie thick (ponytail) and that's all she's got. In her mid to late 40s (she was menopausal age 42), she dyed it fiery red and wore it in a bee-butt bun on the crown of her head, with thicker bangs - everyone just *loved* her hair! I did too. Now in her 70s, she has shoulder to arm pit length and it is your blonde shade exactly, it's a good color for the grays (she is all the way gray now) not to pop up too much when they slowly grow back. I am 47 now and menopause is ahead of me. Early puberty, I had my hair fall out in chunks (yes chunks, up to bald spotting) due to hormonal kick-start and imbalance; it evened out after a year and grew back as thick as it was (I have a lot of hair contrary to mom), but I am dreading the hormonal roller coaster of menopause, I have to be honest here. Great video, Tammy; thanks!

      @@roger12393 yes for me it has done, my hair is thicker, less brittle and my nails seem stronger too, I started to notice after about 8 to 12 weeks of taking these, I think cutting down on the heat styling and only washing my hair every few days shouldn't be under estimated and I do continue to colour my hair every 8 weeks. I think I need to try some of these products! I just turned 60, too! How did this happen? Lots of living!! But I’ve been through chemo, OC, and the works... my hair is back, bu not as thick as it once was.. i used to have enough hair for four people... like you. I still have a lot, but I can see my scalp, (in front) when my hair is wet, and that is bizarre to me! I’m trying to decide which product/s to try first. Thanks Tammy!

I actually didn’t buy the shampoo- I got the butter mask the serum for your scalp the vitamins and the heat protectant those were the key things that I thought would be the most helpful I don’t use a ton of products either on my hair but I do use heat protectant & masques

    Tammy
    I just checked the conditioner for dry damaged hair...and sorry to say but the second ingredient is Amodimethicone a highly volatile toxic silicone...so there is a lot of it in this conditioner and the mask..
    I hate to mention this but none of us...especially at menopause age should be using a product that will literally put a plug of silicone into our head pores...imagine a hot flush and the heat not able to come out through the head...and it goes without saying how dry it will eventually make your hair...
    Seems to me to defeat the purpose that every week we have to detoxify our scalp with charcoal shampoo just to start all over again getting rid of the silicones...I know some people have thin hair but seriously it will only get thinner with silicone use...and some of us have thick hair that needs to be tamed [me] but once again silicone use will lead to so much build-up...
    it appears to be a right old merry go round...I am sorry to be the one to mention this so by all means, everybody continues with the race...but I am not ever going to put silicone on my hair again...it literally took me months a few years ago to get rid of it from my long thick hair...I am no hippie nor do I use only ¨Natural¨ products but with hot flushes so bad I had no choice but to see if there was an improvement from cutting out silicones in my haircare and some cosmetics...I now can truly say I am 100% sure that there was a real improvement in dryness, hair loss and relief from hot flushing...in fact I go so far as saying that my hot flushes stopped as soon as I rid my hair of silicone overload...could be just coincidence but I don't think so...
    OK, my hair is not as smooth as it once was...BUT!! it's thicker shinier and I feel my scalp can breath
    Tammy...I love your channel and take your advice and recs on skincare very seriously...I can also see you are a genuine person who truly cares about your subs...so I mean no harm when I jump on my anti silicone bandwagon lots of love to you all Stacey

    Hello Tammy, thank you posting this! I have been subscribed for awhile and never commented. I had a full hysterectomy in May and have had a hard time since being surgically forced into menopause. I am 46 years old. Some things have improved and some things are just now coming to the surface, that worry me. My hair has thinned out so much, that I cried the other day. In the past, I used a collagen powder and got great results in having hair growth, especially in hair length along with my nails and with smooth softer skin. Such full, long hair strands coming out each day! I am a 25 year veteran makeup artist, so I want to look as good as my clients. I will certainly check out this hair product! Thank you, lovely! Much love & hugs from Georgia 🍑💓 Sincerely, Joy☺

      PureJoy Makeup I feel your pain. My hair has always been super thick and now is shedding like crazy. It can happen when the hair follicle gets smaller (miniaturization) and then does not hold in place basically. I have lost about 50% and it is truly emotional. Go to a dermatologist and get a referral to a hair clinic if you can. They can help you get to the source. Your Dr can tell you if you can use an anti androgen or minoxidil. Look at the Hot and Flashy channel. She talks about a laser hair band she is using instead of minoxidil. My derm says she has seen good results in some people that use this. Good luck to you.

    I ordered the Moroccan liter size shampoo & conditioner. I was so aggravated . I was trying to comb the conditioner through in the shower and it felt different. Tangles were not coming out. I looked closer at the bottles and realized I ordered the moisture repair instead of the hydration. so mad at myself since its not cheap as you know. Big difference between the two. I still use intensive spray on my scalp before blow drying and I think it keeps my hair from falling out so much.
