How to correctly upgrade the Audio system in a Toyota Landcruiser 200 series VX

- Many new cars including the Toyota Landcruiser 200 series VX have a dynamic 'active' front sound stage audio system with bandpass and bi amplified front speakers. This means an extra step and extra parts are required to correctly upgrade the Audio system with a stronger amplifier and 2 way Component speakers.
This video shows an example of a Summing input adapter that blends the bandpassed front speaker OE outputs to then allow you to add am aftermarket amplifier.
The best method is to use an amplified processor, such as the JBL DSP available from Audiocom stores, but if you want to install a different amplifier, you will need to fit a summing line converter, we also keep these in stock at Audiocom stores.

Hello i. have 2015 200 series with factory jBL audio what would be a good spearke upgrade without using and aftermarket amp, just speaker set that would work with what is in place right now?

Have you done upgrades on the new Ford Rangers... do you have similar content some models you can not add after market speakers because of noise cancelation. the head unit also sense if there are different speakers connected. any way around this with out removing the sync3 unit. thanks
There is an Excellent Focal Audio system specifically for the new Ford Ranger, it's a new pack and we're trialling our first instal in around a week!
How did you go getting around the bass roll off at higher levels?
Hey mate, have you heard about ways to resolve the roll off? I'm trying to sort it out in my 150 Prado at the moment.
Man I’ve had troubles with my LC audio for years and have been looking for a solution. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. My local shop won’t touch it. I’m ok with DIY but don’t know which parts. Can you list the models of parts you used? Also are they available in North America? I’m interested in a new amp, and the summing. Can be a single unit like the JBL you mentioned or separate components. Something that supports 4 ohm speakers. Thanks so much for the video!!
