Oh my Aunt Martha’s! I have those ❤I love finding treasures. We used to use a red pencil to trace our patterns back in the 60 and 70.that yarn is probably Bernat. Love the jelly rolls great haul
Hehe technically anything over 20 years is vintage, but I tend to lean toward at least 30 years as vintage. But either way I definitely fit in the vintage category too...makes us cooler, right?!? :)
Oh wow, jelly rolls, at Goodwill! I can see why you are excited. Vintage from 1974, how funny. I actually wore one of those pale blue polyester pants suits in the 70's =) I'm not sure but I think that makes me antique, which is awesome, LOL. You could definitely use that wool for either die cuts, or cutting flowers and decorations for a bag, skirt, blouse! Wool is like clay you can use it by needle felting, or even just cutting and fabric gluing or sewing. That red speaks to me in a circle skirt, circa 1950, with big red poppies. I love to make journals and I can see so many good uses for these finds on journal covers, too. Great finds!!! You have a wonderful Goodwill, for sure. Love your videos, as always you are the best.
The yarn was awesome. I crochet winter toboggans and that is the yarn I use. So warm and soft. With the size of the yarn, I can make a hat in about an hour. I just use the single crochet for the entire hat and you could learn to do that really easily with you tube videos. Let me know if you want to try it and I’ll point you to some good tutorials. Also the jelly rolls were great. Jelly roll quilts are nice and you can even subcut the strips once sewn into smaller blocks. That would break up some of the pattern the fabric may have that’s really busy. Lots of people use the wool felt in embroidery appliqué. I really liked the embroidery kit as well as the cross stitch kit. Would be fun to play with the flower one and learn new things. I really liked the blue flowers. Great finds. Have fun with them. As creative as you are, I’m sure you will come up with great things to make. Happy Week! 💕☀️🧵
What a great haul! Look up arm knitting on Pinterest. My 11 year old granddaughter made me a blanket using that bulky yarn. It’s my favorite Christmas gift. Also, I think those feather flowers would be cute on a handmade head band.
If you get cold hands in winter, the wool felt could look great as gauntlets to use around the house. It is always nice to be able to do things around the house with finger less gloves without getting your hands or fingers cold! PS. the polka dots reminded me of Pebbles' dress of The Flintstones!
I put the floss on plastic cards called bobbins (different than a sewing machine bobbin). I have some pics on my Instagram that show what they look like as well as a video over there showing actually winding one.
Those light-up flowers are probably for a wedding table. The transfers are really cute too. The clown pattern is probably from the 1940s, into the 1950s, given the original price. I remember my mother being upset when patterns went over $1.00. She'd be shocked at the cost of them today, even at 40% off. This was a great haul, and wish my Goodwill did these 50% off days!
The jelly rolls are absolutely beautiful and would make gorgeous Jelly Roll Rugs. Look up official pattern - lots of tutorials on UA-cam. The rugs would add lots of cuteness to any little girl's room!
The Orange and black wool felt could be used for small cross stitched pillow backs or finishes, especially for Halloween. Wooden hearts could be used in finishes as well. The roses that light up can be used in votives. Or placed under a cloche or in a small lantern. I could go on and on but there's some ideas for you. Happy DIYIng till next time.
Good idea, but unfortunately it is super scratchy wool craft felt, not nice knitted wool. I am planning on making them some wool mittens though with better materials.

I love the stitchery blue kit ! We don't have such thrift here in Europe....
You could make ladybug pin cushions from the wool felt fabric.
I think ladybug pincushions with the felt would be adorable!
fabulous finds! Love the jelly rolls. My mind instantly thinks long flowy tiered skirt, but that's me.
I had a great thrift haul myself. Found 6 brand new flat sheets for backing fabric. 3 king 2 queen. Great find.
I love those jelly rolls! Such a good deal!
Wool applique is a great project for you to look into if you have time for a new craft. Great haul!
I use wool felt for hand embroidered penny rugs. Fantastic haul. Blessings.
What is a penny rug? I've never heard of them
TOTAL SCORE on the jelly rolls! Good job! I am totally jealous!
Ha Ha...vintage from 1974...I graduated in 1975. I am definitely vintage!♥️🙏👍🇺🇸🤓

You can make winter mittens out of the wool!

Wool the colors are awesome. Whitney use them for a watermelon shaped bag. ♥
Great idea!!
That orange and the brown fabrics reminded me of Pebbles and Bam Bam from the Flintstones.
Wow, great finds and definitely a steal for those jelly rolls!! The red and black wool can be made into mini watermelon pillows for kitchen decor
Great idea! Thank you for posting this video!
You’ve had some great bargains! You could use the wool/felt to make slippers
You really got some great deals! Love thrift stores, church sales, estate sales and yard sales.

The smile on your face when you showed us your bag of goodies...SAYS IT ALL! KEEP SMILING!! PS...how do you organize your embroidery floss??

Oh I love a good estate sale!! You got a great deal!
Me too!!
Wool felt is great for background in a frame...mount pics on top!
Great deal on the jelly rolls, jealous 🤣
Wow, super find of jellyrolls!!!!!!
Love Aunt Martha's transfers, found out the hard way that if you keep 'em around too long they won't work, not sure what happens to them.
Those Kaffe Fasset jelly rolls! I am so jealous, I would love those.
The wool felt would make great mittens
I need that blue floral needlepoint kit in my life lol
The jelly rolls are absolutely beautiful and would make gorgeous Jelly Roll Rugs. Look up official pattern - lots of tutorials on UA-cam. The rugs would add lots of cuteness to any little girl's room!
I've been wanting to make a jelly roll rug, but am afraid they will slip around a lot on the floor
There is a two sided fug tape you can use so they don't slide.

The wool you can use for “penny rug/mat”. The orange with black dots would make a great Halloween one.
Lucky you. The embroidery is good start for your girls.
With the wool make a ironing bord.
You find the best things in thrift shops!
You can make a cute pet bed from the wool.
Yarn can be used for arm knitting.
Great stuff
How about a Flintstone costume if there is enough material
It's only a 12 x 12 inch piece
Oh, how about a stuffed dinosaur 🦕
Jelly roll race!
Felt for mittens for kids, line them they would be cute.
Good idea, but unfortunately it is super scratchy wool craft felt, not nice knitted wool. I am planning on making them some wool mittens though with better materials.
You should look at Kelly Barrows Creations. She crafts with a lot of stuff. Some of which you have in your bags.
How do I pick out good thread when thrift shopping? I heard thread can go bad if stored for too long or stored in a "bad way.
@get2craft You can usually tell that it was stored okay if the thread is all one color and not splotchy from one part always being in the sun.
@@Whitney_Sews thank you 😊
I see flintstone costumes
Yeah, the felt screams Flintstones.
I love shopping at thrift stores. We call it treasure hunting.
I love it too :)
Jelly rolls look like kaffee fassett
They are
@@Whitney_Sews Jack pot
the orange/black wool looks just like fred flintstone's clothes. maybe that can give you a direction to think about something....
