Rejection is part of life, we get rejected while growing up, in work, in business. Rejection is unavoidable, learning how to deal or brush off rejection now that is a real skill and mindset to learn.
@@VALUETAINMENT Thank you for these videos. Do you have videos on leaving companies to start a new one, or simply a new product? Also how do you negotiate in tough business deals?
This is so true! When I first started my business, we had a HUGE amount of mistakes and got rejected multiple times! Our first night operating we had people get their orders 2 hours late! But we learned from them and now we have a great ordering time! When we first started it, we were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. We just graduated college as well. We started the late night cookie shop out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night. We were living in our car in the parking lot of the shop at the time with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second launching in January!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Face rejections and making a lot of mistakes are crucial parts of your journey to success!
@@genesis2934 Awhh thank you!!! :D It's been a lot of hustle and work but so much fun at the same time! If you subscribed to my channel, I hope you enjoy being a part of the journey to our second storefront location in Tampa, Fl! :D
I remember when we started our travel company because we focused specifically on Africa destinations we faced a lot of rejections and stereotypes but we kept going we understood rejection was part of the challenges so just embraced it and moved on sometimes it can get you emotional but we have overcome it
As a business owner myself, I have to tell you; being an entrepreneur is not easy! The titles "CEO" and "entrepreneur" may sound very fancy but it's extremely stressful hard work. I've been in business for 4 years and only recently started to take home a salary. I've been rejected by investors, banks and stores who refused to stock my products. I used all of my savings and had piled up over $40k worth of debt for a dream that looked like it was going nowhere. I was suffering from insomnia and was constantly fatigued. So it's hard work guys and facing rejection is the hardest part. But I promise you that if you're consistent, eventually you will taste success. Overnight successes are very few. You'll need to be patient and continue hustling and then eventually, you'll see the fruits of your hard work!
The younger you are the worst it is. It's not only about character but also familiarity with rejection. So, i think rejection is actually something you learn. Even if you completely collapse at some point... time always allows you to get up and try again... try better... get rejected better next time.
I was an exchange student in Spain. What I didn't have for much too long was a long-term host family, my organisation that was responsible for me just couldn't seem to find one for me. So they put me in this auxiliary family for three months, in which they still didn't manage to find me a family, so I kept asking friends I had gotten to know through school if they could host me for the rest of the year. This is a very big ask, especially because my organisation stupidly followed the rule of not wanting to pay anything to the families in order for the experience not being altered by becoming a business transaction. This made it unnescessarily hard for them to find enough families that weren't just accomodating a student as a favor to the organisation, trying to bridge the period of time it took to find a permanent one. What I learned, was that although I love my first family of three months and the friends I made in their town, they all had good reasons to reject me asking to take me in so I wouldn't have to move, which I did (I had 5 families in total), as I DID manage to find a family through another exchange student, that it wasn't because those people all didn't like me. That was such a big concern that I had real depression during my year there. It was all because they didn't have the ability to host me: my first family has two daughters who also went on exchanges to Ireland, which they had to save money for. The second one only took me because the hostdad worked with the organisation. The third one also did a favor, but although we got along so good, that my time there was the best two weeks of the exchange, they already had another student from Finland and did a favor to the organisation - again. While I was there, I had already found my permanent family, which I finally went to after a third of the exchange year was already over. When I was there, I started to reject the family, because I was suffering emotionally. Even though this was happening, I tried to connect with them "Hey, would you like to play this/that board game before dinner?", "Let's watch that new movie on Netflix this weekend", etc. So the reject came from their side too. I could have asked the third family with the Finnish kid back in, but I was done mentally so I decided to go back home. Nothing out of this was my fault. It took the last few years to realize. I did my absolute best and failed. Happy to have made this experience so early on.
The immediate distraction is a must for me. I always thought I had to ignore it and keep pushing. You helped me understand it's okay to take my mind off things and come back. Thanks for this video.

Thank you for taking the time to work with me ! I have a lot to learn , one of the first great accomplishments that I have recently made is realizing that I actually had an audience that just came to light today. At least to the point where I now know when that is taking place due to the fact that I was unaware, I was unprepared I did not have the right data in front of me to give a positive presentation. I will improve in these areas and be more prepared. I feel it is a great honor to have such strong positive leaders working with me. I know that your time is extremely valuable and I will do my due diligence to return the favor one day. Thank you again thank you very much guys.

Pat I think you forgot something very important about being rejected. If you are going to get rejected, why not ask the client why you were rejected? Was it my price, my approach, did you not like the way I presented our service? I run a mobile DJ company and it's a very fierce market. I always take the time to ask the client who rejects me why I was rejected. "Hey John, I am sorry we were not able to be a part of your big day. We are always looking for ways to get better at what we do and I was wondering if you can help me out. Would you be interested in maybe telling us who you went with and why you picked them over us? Regardless, thank you so much for your time and reaching out to us. Wishing you and Mary an incredible life together"

strategy: REJECT THEM right before they reject you LOL
ok kidding, here's my real thoughts:
there is no such thing as rejection or non-rejection, there is only information about how to proceed to the next step
if you get rejected - next step is to go back to the drawing board (which might be fun in itself)
if you dont get rejected - now you have to do work which has it's own risks
i once knew a guy who wouldn't take No for an answer - he finally got "Accepted" to do a risky job
because he fucked up on that job he's now bankrupt and disabled...
if he had gotten rejected from that job and accepted his rejection, he might be rich and happy right now
some times the right rejection is a major blessing
You Are Great
