Clean your iac! it attaches to the intake with two 8mm bolts/screws! You can see a white tag if you look at the intake from the driver side! iT IS BETWEEN THE INTAKE & THE BLOCK! I had to lay under the car to access my iac -(idle air control valve) I bet it is either your coil pack or fuel filter, pump, or injectors??? Good luck!!!!!!
I know this is random, but I couldnt find a way to message! could you please give me advice about my Ford focus no one can figure out what's going on with it, and it's my only transportation I figured if anyone might know it would be you!
@@JoeFasho thank you so much! so I'll try and keep it simple. I drive a 2003 Ford focus. Well I had a crack in my thermostat housing, I drove it everywhere like that for around 4 months, I would carry jugs of water and add water everytime I went somewhere, well I had a friend who decided he would replace my thermostat housing for me, he took the old thermostat housing off and replaced it with a new one, now my car keeps running hot, and I have to run the heater everywhere I go, I told him before he touched that part I was driving my car with no issues! now I can't go anywhere without my car overheating, but i can't tell when it's overheating because my step dad straight wired some things I guess a fan and whatever else. I do you have any idea why I could ride around fine with that old thermostat housing but now that it's been replaced my car is constantly running hot!!
@@JoeFasho someone told me it's my water pump but everything was fine before that part was replaced, my car never ran hot now it bubbles over everywhere
Thanks for the info Chandler. First, you said that your dad wired up the fans. Do you notice them coming on at all? Second, there could be air trapped in the cooling system. I had the same issue when i changed my thermostat housing. Air pockets in the cooling system will cause the car to overheat. If the thermostat itsself was not replaced at the time of the housing being replaced, it could be that as well.
This car is a pain in the butt. Trust me i know lol. Another thing you can try and its a cheap fix is to replace the radiator reseviour cap. If it loses pressure, it will start bubbling in the tank and the coolant will not cycle properly causing it to over heat
