trapezoidal masonry retaining wall, 0.3m wide at top, 1.5m wide at the bottom is 8.0m high. it is retaining earth, having level with the top of the wall in its vertical face. Angle of repose of the earth is 30, angle of friction is 30, and allowable bearing pressure is 600KN/m2. i, sketch the retaining wall indicating ALL the given parameters. ii, check for stability of the retaining wall against overturning and slidering safety factor of 1.5. any solution to these question
Sir, I have a land area about 60×60 feet.. can I build 5 Storey building...? Please estimate my building and draw the design I will be thankful to you...
you said ground floor beam, then first floor beam... The ground floor beam should be the plinth beam.. please explain keeping that in mind...with diagrams Jazakumullah Khair
Prenume Nume de familie 0 seconds ago Hi there ! Small questions ! 1 Floor building project mix structural and masonry made from AAC 500-600kg/m3 Parietal beam. What is the difference between 30x30 and 25x36 columns sections in this case .Do you think are compatible using same amount of rebar inside ? I want to make as such that the beam size fits the masonry size that s way! What do you think ?and of course laying the orientation of the square angle one on x and one on y axes sequential !

Hello engineer i want to construct 5 storey residencial building ground floor will be parking, what is the size of the column and beam and how deep am i supposed to set the footing? , thanks for your time.
Quite far from any code Would this 9"x12" beam design (with 2 D12mm bars at the base) support on a second floor the load of 30% of a 12'x12' slab and 9' high 6" block wall and residential Live load? Answer: nope.
I have planned to construct two separate rooms like 20*10 ( ground floor with 10*14 room size at first floor) & 22.5*10 (only ground floor) . My engineer suggested RCC is as follows. Pls tell it correct or not. Basement level of 22.5*10 is 2 feet less than 20*10 room 1. For 20*10 - 6 columns of 12*4 with 8mm stirr up of 7 inch c/c - four at each corner and remaining two at spacing of 8 feet at one end and 11 ft at other end. Plinth beam with 1.5 feet height and 9*9 (l*b). Ceiling height is 10 feet. Planned tie beam at below windows (2.5 feet) and lintel (7 feet) of 6 inch rcc 2. For 22.5*10 - 6 columns of 12*4 with 8mm stirr up of 7 inch c/c - four at each corner and remaining two at spacing of 10 feet at one end and 10 ft at other end. Plinth beam with 1 feet height and 9*9 (l*b). Ceiling height is 12 feet. Planned tie beam at below windows (4 feet) and lintel ( 8 feet) with 6 inch rcc And join the both room in ceiling and both room in 90 degree position to each other
Salam dear sami As i watch from your UA-cam the information is practical use and it is good May i ask you if you give us complete design for a house from slab to footing

Salam alaikum.i really enjoyed the teaching.please can you help us with real physical practical .? thanks
helo sir
when u speak about g+1 story do u mean the gound floor column is still using 4 main bar size 12mm is okay or what

Please also tell the measurements in inches and suttar
Very Informative Content. Thank you Sir.
Do the size of the steelbar depends on the space between columns.. For example, is 12 mm strong enough if the colunns are 15 ft apart?
i think it is enough for 5 meters as he discussed in the video
If we use 16 mm rebar for G+1insted of 12mm, will it work?
Sir 4 No's 16mm and 2 No's 12mm reinforcements are used in column reinforcements for better construction???
meter one minute inches another, confusing, could be better
It is very interesting lecture on colom. Many thanks

What about the bending stress (which is max. at middle) at the middle of the horizontal beam.. shouldn't we strengthen the middle portion more?
What is the maximum column to column distance for 9inch X 9inch column?
Hello engineer i want to construct 5 storey residencial building ground floor will be parking, what is the size of the column and beam and how deep am i supposed to set the footing? , thanks for your time.
Already I have laid 9" column has used 16" 4nos steel rods cld I have G 1 with roof with a slab. My beam length is maixum 15feet. Pls advise
Interesting information. We are planning to go for 9x12 inch pillars for G+1, is the 12 mm iron bars good enough?
Quite far from any code
Would this 9"x12" beam design (with 2 D12mm bars at the base) support on a second floor the load of 30% of a 12'x12' slab and 9' high 6" block wall and residential Live load? Answer: nope.
you said in your other video that the distance between two columns must be 3-6 meters, but this video it is 5 meters...i am confused...
Exalent.. Than q bro
Can you work this up in inches
that is why there's a structural engr for the building strength and the work of architect is for the beauty.. concept.. economy.. and planning
Is it ok to reduce spacing of ties in column at center if there are lappings? I mean add more ties to support lapping area.
Their is no proper explanation. You can ask diploma students take information and make video.😊😊

Неплохо , но с нагрузкой непонятно на погонный метр, она распределенная или точечная.
Your rebar is undersized for G+1 story Residential House, nowadays the standard size is 16mm with 10mm lateral ties.
