@@kosherwatermelonproductions I honestly wasn't a fan of the monologue the first time I saw it, but it kept getting better and better with each rewatch - especially as Maddie goes into detail about their transformation!
you know the actor is good when they can in depth explain their characters like this! i love their views and interpretations of the characters they played, it gives more sincerity to the movie
Justice is gorgeous, Bridgette is gorgeous, both super talented. The analyses here is great. The reverse arc is something I identify with, speaking about it really sells the movie for me.
@@Smharry92 the colors, the acting, the soundtrack, the nostalgia, the suburban dread, the sadness, the acknowledgement of existential dread and how if you deviate only a little from society it just makes that feeling worse and harder to survive. thats my take. theres a lot to love in this film.
I just watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time last year and I thought it mostly held up, especially because of Sarah Michelle Gellar's miraculously endearing and cool acting.
I gotta watch all my fav goosebumps episodes again and get disappointed lol. The welcome to dead house episode was literally my favorite, and the haunted mask
my beautiful gf and i just watched this morning, it was so good also hey letterboxd my gf and I met on your app, wheres the free pro? you can wait till we get married for the gift haha
I know Justice Smith is queer, but genuinely it would not surprise me at all if they ever came out as trans. I know acting is their job obviously but you can't direct those pre-transition trans woman dysphoria eyes. The exact balance of life, dissociation, and vacancy present in Owen's eyes were haunting. Genuinely scary to see in another person like I saw them in myself.
LMAO holy shit you're right, I thought I might have seen it before but I figured Justice was just a great actor and I dismissed the thought. It's crazy but just watching them in this interview you can see the same energy Owen had, it's like that same kind of near-vacant listlessness, almost. If nothing else, it must be said: It would take a very special type of cis man to so faithfully and intimately portray the experience of gender dysphoria and NOT come out of the experience with at least a few gender thoughts.
Both their performances were exceptional and very memorable. But the abrupt 'open-to-interpretation/let the audience decide for themselves what it means' ending really pissed me off, and felt very disingenuous and unnecessary. It made the entire experience feel pointless, and incomplete.
With each rewatch, I fall more in love with Bridgette's monologue.
i’m so upset i saw it right when the it stopped playing in theatres cause goddamn that monologue is still stuck in my head

Incredibly beautifully shot seen as well

I loved I Saw the TV Glow so much!! Great performances, I love hearing about everyone who was involved's feelings about making the movie
Same!!! I really hope the Blu-Ray/DVD has commentary tracks from the two of them and Jane

It was pretty cool. But the ending bummed me out. I feel like Isabel just accepted her fate in her prison

For some reason, Brigette Lundy-Paine reminds me of Phoebe Bridgers
This was such a good analysis! Already can't wait to rewatch this movie 😄

Perfect cast, since I'm cis I like how cute Madi is, especially in the image with completely black long hair

I really think the newest crow movie could have been received better if Jane directed and Rupert was just the writer and producer
who the fuck chose this music (not a complement)
It’s so corporate

Freaks
