Paano gumawa ng No Oven Custard Cake para sa negosyo?
I usually use oven when baking custard cake, but when I tried it STEAMED, it was actually as good as oven baked! Baking tips were also provided for easier understanding!
Natural Orange flavored sponge cake is my favorite, but I intentionally made it a Negosyo Recipe this time with ingredients that are more affordable and can bake in steamer.
The custard cake has 3 layers;
Caramel Top
Custard
Sponge Cake
📝RECIPE:
Layer 1 - Caramel Top
3 tbsp granulated sugar
Layer 2 - Custard / Flan
4 egg yolks
1 whole egg
195g (1/2 can) evaporated milk
195g (1/2 can) condense milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla essence
Layer 3 - Sponge Cake - DRY
1/2 cup cake flour or all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp fine salt
Layer 3 - Sponge Cake - WET
2 egg yolks
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 tsp lemon flavor
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Layer 3 - Sponge Cake - MERINGUE
3 egg whites
3 tbsp granulated sugar
⛔ Notes
1. Stove should be low and already in low/gentle simmer.
2. Use a cloth or foil to cover the pan to protect from steam.
3. Cooking time will depend on how big or small your steamer and the quantity.
