So I ended up trying one of these cameras. So far I’m impressed with some of it and not with others. The big issue I’m having is it does not want to come off black and white/night vision during the day. Color worked fine the first day, second day didn’t come into color until late morning, then today the only way to see color is by turning on the “white light” setting which leaves the lights on. Have you had this issue? It’s mounted in the front of my house, not blocked by any shade in direct sunlight so it’s got plenty of light.
I have not experienced this issue. Have you made sure you don’t have sometime selected in the settings the keeps it on black and white in a certain time frame.
So just a follow up. All settings were factory at first. I went in and shut off the auto night vision, then turned it back on. So far that seemed to fix the daytime black and white issue. Will see as times goes on. I do like it so far. I will say my house is a 1/4 mile from the road, but it sends me constant notifications for “person” and “pet” but it’s cars super far away lol!
I have a few residences that we don’t frequent often and I’d like to get some sort of cameras setup. This looks like it may be a good option. The problem I always find when researching is they are never descriptive on what actually works or doesn’t work based on free vs subscription services.
For sure. I’ve got several camera companies I’ve used in lengthy time periods. This one detecting is the best I’ve used without a million faulty detections
Does it work with apple HomeKit? Also how far is the range for Wi-Fi pickup? Would like to put one at the coop. Thanks! Very informative video, really like that this camera doesn’t pick up everything like bugs lightning, etc we also have Wyze outdoor cams And they even with the paid service pick up extra motions, so looking hard at this one
Unfortunately I can’t find anything saying it works with Apple home kit. I’ve also tried to find it in my home kit app. I have more coming so stay tuned for updates.
