Hello :) Make a long story short: it's a big issue in Poland among Eurovision fans. Jann is very fresh singer. It was his first live performance in TV. He is writing and singing more chill out music and his voice is a countertenor. The problem is that he won televoting in Poland and generally young generation loves his song Gladiator but jury choose a different song Blanka- Solo to representing Poland in Eurovision contest in two month. So now is a big drama in polish media. To be honest I didn't like song at first as well but the boy is really charming and his music is very calm and chill :) and his voice is really good but not at this particular show.

The sound of polish TV was very bad, if you hear the sound of some mobile phones from the arena it was better.
He was the favourite from the public but the jury give the highest points to another girl, (and honestly, she can't sing live) . He was a little bit out of breath but he can sing well. I'm not from Poland but people are sad because the winner is a friend from the son of the jury's chairman and they announced the winner hours before the show. That's why it's so controversial, we wanted to see him at eurovision, but now it's not possible.

Most of the contestants that night sounded iffy. This kids a classically trained counter tenor so he CAN sing.

Dziękuję za komentarz. Masz prawo do własnej opinii. Zgadzam się, że można podawać różne argumenty, ale nie używać hejtu. Ja jestem starszą osobą, ale Jann oczarował mnie swoją osobowością i tym, co tworzy i wykonuje. Wiele osób (w tym i ty) zauważyło, że wykonanie Gladiatora na preselekcjach miało wiele niedociągnięć. Ale pewnie jako Polacy często bardziej patrzymy sercem. Dlatego widzimy Janna jako utalentowanego Artystę, nie skupiając się na pojawiających się brakach. Artystyczna droga Janna na razie jest krótka. To są dopiero jego pierwsze występy. Myślę jednak, że ma ogromny potencjał. Zachęcam do obejrzenia innych jego utworów.
Poszukaj proszę nagrania nie profesjonalnego z tego wydarzenia. TVP okłamała wszystkich zaniżając jakość nagrania. Posłuchaj też innych utworów w wykonaniu Jann'a. On śpiewa i tworzy nie od wczoraj. Treść jaką napisał jest głęboka, ma sens, przedstawia wartość. Muzyka jaką skomponował oddaje emocje bardzo wyraziście. Ten utwór jest bardzo wartościowy i to On powinien reprezentować mój kraj. Pani Blanka przedstawiła piosenkę łatwą w odbiorze, lekką w treści, monotonna muzycznie... Nie będę wyliczać. Nie mam pretensji do kogoś że nie potrafi przekazać artyzmu utworu. Mam pretensję do jury, które bardzo zawarło się w treści utworu Gladiator. Korupcja, zaprzedajność, dążenie do własnych korzyści... To czym się powinno gardzić. Pozdrawiam 👍👍

@@dorotalipinska5696 Masz prawo do własnej oceny. Ja też mam takie prawo. Dla mnie porażką jest zachowanie jury i TVP. Siara że nie wiem co. Jann zaśpiewał super. Trochę się na tym znam. Kostium też był adekwatny do tekstu. Zachowanie sceniczne, taniec, gesty rewelacyjnie oddawały nastwienie Artysty do korupcji o której śpiewał. Pozdrawiam.
Mimo to, cieszę się, że nie wygrał, zdecydowanie Dudek pokazał klasę i to on jedyny nie narobiłby nam wstydu

I can only add that it was his first time on the scene with cameras around and he's brand new to making music. You're right that he needs to practise more, get his voice in more control. However I wouldn't say his voice is bad

Well, maybe you could check official video for Gladiator or other Jann's songs (e.g. Promise, One missed call, Met the God, Smile). I'm very curious if you don't like him at all (I'll try to respect it ;)) or the show just wasn't in your taste. In my opinion Jann is the one in a million talent

he may not be the best of the best but blanka was a lot worse than him she couldnt even sing, she sounded like she came to karaoke with her friends drunk. it was also janns first live stage performance and for his first time he did amazing

Have you not yet seen Käärijä-Cha cha cha? he won the televote of the Eurovision this year, by a landslide. unfortunately, the jury made sure Loreen would win due to Abba's 50th anniversary coming up, so they could have next year's competition in Sweden. 💔 sad stuff.
but you should check him out.. i personally prefer the National Final rather than the Grand Final of Eurovision, but if you feel like watching any version, it'd be great!

@@ReactionsbyD There was also the issue of the studio sound being off I think as mist of the contestents didn't sound great. I think maybe they had the singer mics up too high and/or the music too low. There's cellphone video of Jann's performance taken from the audience and he does sound better. I do suggest checking some of the live video of him doing small festivals and the like.

Poland is still fighting to eliminate Blanka from Eurovision. He is not our representative. Winning by cheating is not winning. Our underrated candidate is JANN with the song GLADIATOR

The vote was rigged. Facts:
1) Blanka is friends with the son of Edyta Górniak who was head of the jury.
2) Her dancers are from the dance studio of yet another juror (Agustin Egurolla).
3) She’s been heavily promoted and already performed in TVP, e.g. at the New Year’s Eve broadcast with the same song.
4) Although Jann and Alicja were clearly the favourites, the jury strategically put them in 4th and 5th places to make sure that who the jury picked won.
5) The rules on how the winner is picked were changed a couple of days before the broadcast. In past years, the winner was picked based solely on the televote but this year they decided to do it 50/50 jury’s vote and televote. And they even added a disclaimer that in case of a tie, the jury’s vote breaks it.
6) Probably most damning piece of info: at 3pm TVP posted that Blanka won and proceeded to quickly delete the post. The winner was officially announced around 6:30pm. There are screenshots.
It’s the homophobic nepotistic TVPiS that has spoken yet again, not Poland.
Jann was with 18k votes and Blanka with 6k votes...
the reason might've been the lyrics of his song.. they couldn't let him go to eurovision singing about the corruption of the music industry when the final vote was rigged in there as well.

How can you give your opinion about sth not knowing the context? You didn’t even know what was the point of singing this song, why? Where? What is the big deal? Before you judge, get the whole story. it matters.
I was listening to his VOICE and his presentation, it could have been an amazing story - but in the end it was his singing that just was not working for me, just being honest.

Thank you for your reaction ❤️ TVP - wyrządzacie krzywdę tej dziewczynie - Blance która powinna honorowo zrezygnować tak na marginesie . Będzie hejt i za to wy właśnie jesteście odpowiedzialni . Wiadomo że beton TVP jest jak Holecka w Wiadomościach, jak wybory kopertowe Sasina, jak policja na Żoliborzu ale wszystko przemija i kiedyś beton i mury kiedyś runą. Wiatr zmian nadchodzi i myślę że lekceważenie kilkunastu i kilkudziesięciu tysięcy osób pokaże co sądzą o was wyborcy i fani Eurowizji.

@@lilsem1348 a nie jest to polityka że TVP wiedząc jaki jest Jann postanowiło znaleźć sposób by on tylko nie pojechał na Eurowizję. Kto odpowiada za TVP? Wcześniej był Jacek Kurski z partii PiS a wiadomo jaki jest stosunek partii prawicowych do osób LGBT. Jesli TVP jest tak tolerancyjna to czemu zwolnili Szpaka Piaska z TVP? Telewizja polska popsuła coś z dźwiękiem. Jakość nagrań zwykłymi telefonami (krąży to w sieci) była lepsza niż w telewizji u wszystkich artystów. U Janna zabite były wysokie tony w głosie, a jest kontratenorem. Obejrzałam mnóstwo wypowiedzi ludzi z różnych krajów, którzy zajmują się ocenianiem wokalu i wielu z nich też to zauważyło. On sam napisał utwór, sam go wykonał, śpiewa i pokazuje w ruchu siebie i show-biznes. Wszystko co zrobił na scenie było celowe, a jego charyzma jest powalająca czego trudno nie zauważyć. Nawet kiepska jakość dźwięku tego nie zabije.
Jesteś chyba jedyną osobą, której Jann się nie podoba, ale to wyjątki potwierdzają zawsze regułę. Jakbyś zobaczył Janna na żywo bardzo byś się zdziwił jak niesamowity ma wokal. Ludzie płakali, że nie przeszedł. Mogli tylko wykrzyczeć "ustawka":( Wątpię, żeby po tym wszystkim ktoś oddawał głosy z Polski na kandydatów z Eurowizji.
