He had only ten days to prepare so I think he did good job.
He had only 8 day's to prepare the performance and TVP didn't helped with anything... So that's say's a lot about it, he made the biggest show out of all of them, he didn't need cringy dancers or anything, he was the art by himself.
The song is dark, it's about dark sides of showbusiness and commerce so that's why the show is in dark motives.

The problem is that the sound on the TV is different from what someone in the audience recorded. Someone at all costs wanted Blanka to win (the big label to which she belongs, the broadcaster). The regulations were changed 2 days before the preselections. The jury knew Blanka personally and cooperated with her. It's not a coincidence.
I agree and in this case I think the juries are shallow and sexist.
Everyone wanted Jann, even people from outside of Poland.
The song was going viral everywhere, why would you not want a hit for your country?

Her song sounds spanish but in Spain National Finals she would have never qualified to the finals with this.

tvp didn't give him dancers, no setting, they didn't give him anything and so Jann did the best he could and this performance recorded with phones sounds much better, only tvp promoted Blanka, Jann has talent, charisma and originality

He won televoting easily. He got most votes from Polish people, but jury ruined his chance for winning.
I know about it and I am really disappointed about the jury, it's shallow and sexist.
I am so sorry for you guys and I hope they change it or EBU tells them to change it.

Jann is just a begginer, without big label and money behind him. He did all this himself. He wrote song, lyrics, create stage show and even clothes. He had only few people to help. And he was better on stage than big Polish stars like Alicja Szęplińska, Natasza Urbańska and Blanka. Two weeks ago Jann was just almost noname alternative singer. Today everybody in Poland talk about him.
The vote was rigged. Facts:
1) Blanka is friends with the son of Edyta Górniak who was head of the jury.
2) Her dancers are from the dance studio of yet another juror (Agustin Egurolla).
3) She's been heavily promoted and already performed in TVP, e. g. at the New Year's Eve broadcast with the same song.
4) Although Jann and Alicja were clearly the favourites, the jury strategically put them in 4th and 5th places to make sure that who the jury picked won.
5) The rules on how the winner is picked were changed a couple of days before the broadcast. In past years the winner was picked based solely on the televote but this year they decided to do it 50/50 jury's vote and televote. And they even added a disclaimer that in case of a tie, the jury's vote breaks it.
6) Probably most damning piece of info: at 3pm TVP posted that Blanka won and proceeded to quickly delete the post. The winner was officially announced around 6:30pm. There are screenshots.
It's the homophobic, nepotistic TVPiS that has spoken yet again, not Poland.
I saved that screenshot too. They could delete it as quick as they wanted to but nothing on the internet is truly ever gone forever.

Jann did great show being alone on stage , dancers are not needed. His sole performance fits to the lyrics and the message of this song. It was very intense performance. Btw, Jann is trained counter-tenor. Jann won the televoting with 12 points with 18 thousand SMS vs. 6000 Blanka got. She got 10 points so with 7 points for Jann from the jury he could not win. Even if he received 100 thousand votes the result would be the same. TVP changed the voting system on purpose 4 days before the NF.

What annoys me the most: this year the rules for the Eurovision final have been changed and THERE WILL BE NO MORE JURY POINTS, only ppl voting - so why don't these new rules apply to the national pre-selections for this competition?? Why isn't there the same rule?? This is sick. If such rules were in the pre-selections, Jann would definitely be a representative of Poland because he got an overwhelming majority of votes from the people! 12 points from UK for Jann, definitely 👍

We are robbed another year. It's TVP choice not POLAND choice. We are soo sorry that u have to deal with Blanka's song this year instead of enjoying Jann's song. We are devastated. 2 of 5 member from jury have something in common with Blanka and they set up voting to let her win and they didn't want Jann to win soo badly because of how he look, what is his song about etc. We hope EBU and Eurovision will do something about it.

Our real winner. We Poles wanted him. He won televoting easily, but our jury choose cheesy Blanka's song. 🤦
This is not the final performance, but only a demo version. The final performance would include dancers, effects, etc., but it was impossible to prepare it in 10 days!
Initially, they wanted to provide him with dancers in the nf as well, but he refused them, likely due to having ADHD and maybe some hot female dancer might be triggering it and he might not be able to focus on his lyrics anymore. Just like a girl in last years national final season (can't remember, which country, the lady with the dancers in plastic bubbles) suddenly forgot the lyrics and didn't find into her song again. And in comment sections to videos (and fan made contests such as Eurovision Trash Contest) people have revealed that she struggles with ADHD as well and she lost her concentration and forgot the lyrics, maybe she was distracted by one of her dancers and this might have triggered it. So with Gladiator, there could have been the same problem, so they wanted to avoid that and only use dancers on the bigger stage, also in a way in that they can be integrated into his performance without even bothering him, he doesn't even have to see them, and it still feels as if it was part of the whole thing, eg just like in Italy's performance. The stage in Poland was smaller and so this was less possible.

That's what I thought but some other people said he was 2nd so I just assumed it was true.
I enjoyed this video! But I disagree with you about the necessity of 'lightness', dancers, or that he "screamed too much". I feel a dark song with dark lyrics could easily be ruined if you add lightness. As for the screams, I felt they were literally the best part of the performance. He really conveyed the desperation present in the lyrics. The studio version seems so tame and mild comparing to this and I'm a little bummed about that. For me, this was so much better. 😅

Ppl say that Blanca's song has Got big influence of Clean Bandid's SOLO and INNA's UP!-but I don't know exactly🤷♀️ To be honest, TVP ruins Blanca's carriere, because now she must fece with All this hate...I do not have any bad opinion about her. I agree but it is very rare when a song is a steal, many times a song just influences or borrowes from other songs and this is what all songs do.
I think tvp has to listen to what the people want and let Jann win and Blanca comes back next year, than everyone is happy.
But maybe they think Blanca has more chance of winning with her song because it's more funny because of Christians Ochmans disappointment and because this year there are many songs that are happy and funny and even many catchy "joke entries" that perhaps they found it more appropriate to send solo for Poland this year.

The Polish jury cheated because they knew this song was about corruption in the music/entertainment industry. The very thing he sang about, they did to him. It is truly a shame. Jann is so talented. Blanka cant even compete with a barking dog.
