Blanka is a commercial product supported by big music label, she tried to be a model .
Jann is an artist with music education, he wrote both music and lyrics to "Gladiator". He's countertenor and can sing waaay better than Blanka. It was his first performance live on tv and he slayed the stage . Maybe it was not so perfect vocally but he has great charisma performing live. He has also acting and dance skills what he showed here. His clip to "Gladiator " is a masterpiece , of his own idea and co-directing. He was robbed by the jury which favoured Blanka thanks to the voting system changed 4 days before this NF.
Jann won televoting with big advantage over Blanka but the votes were not calculated based on percentage . There wasn't any transparency in presenting the voting results in this final either from jury or from viewers .
That's why all here in Poland who supported Jann are really angry and disappointed.
I also heard that he did actually sing at the opera as a teen? Wouldn't be surprised cause countertenors are dang rare (or rarely discovered) and usually professionally trained from young age to be boy soprano (i'm thinking Dimash Kudaibergen, though his vocal range goes down to actual barriton easily).

Hi, i'm Polish, so i'll explain a few things. There was something wrong with the sound in tv, recordings from the studio, where nf was happening, prove almost every contestant sounded better than on tv. The process of voting was really shady: the broadcaster changed the rules of voting just days before nf, Blanka had relations with at least one member of the jury, the results of the televoting weren't presented and the head jury gave later on interviews indicating she didn't know the rules of voting. The day after nf broadcaster published the results of televoting, but just with eurovisional points - Jann won, Blanka was second. There's a rumour Jann recevied 18k votes and Blanka just 6k, but since broadcaster's not showing the exact results it's obviously unofficial. The whole affair wasn't at all transparent and unbiased and we're all furious, even people who wanted Blanka to win.

Oh c’mon ludzie - prawda jest taka, że wokalnie tylko Dominik i Alicja byli bezbłędni, już nie przesadzajmy. Zarówno Blanka jak i Jann prawie cały czas byli off key, ciężko się tego słuchało, chociaż niewątpliwie piosenka Janna jest naprawdę wyjątkowa i sam on jest wspaniałym artystą, natomiast wokalnie to jeszcze nie to.
@@asiaroman1337 nie. Jann był cały czas w tonacji, tylko kilka razy głos mu się zachwiał pod wpływem emocji czy ruchu. Osoby, które mają jakiekolwiek pojęcie w tym temacie słyszą to nawet pomimo tego fatalnego miksu w tv. Poza tym Eurowizja to nie jest konkurs wokalny, w którym trzeba być wokalnie bezbłędnym.
About shaky vocal of Jann you have to know that that was first time for Jann in tv at all. He was very emotional because many od people was screaming to support him and he didn't t expect that because He is totally New new on Polish stage
But I think that just gives that unique feeling

I saw a Ukrainian expert that had a version filmed on a phone from the show - Jann wasn't nervous - he sings very well - but the sound from the TV-show isn't good at all compared with the real sound.

national television has ruined and censoured Janns performance. The audience was giving him way more applousse whan they did to Blanka, but you couldnt hear it in tv version. They also messed up his vocals (i have no idea how it works ok-) so it sounds way worse on tv than it didn irl. You can see that while watching other peoples recordings from that evening. Nie zgodzę się. Jakby mi ktoś to puścił i nie powiedział, że Jann jest polakiem, to bym pomyślała, że tą piosenkę wykonuję ktoś z zagranicy. I nie ze względu na to, że śpiewa po angielsku, ale sam styl piosenki, oraz barwa jego głosu, odnoszę wrażenie taka poprostu jest.

As far as his vocals are concerned, right when you commented, he said welcome to the party, I know its kinda funny and it was supposed to be like a laugh. Was his performance perfect? No. It was his 1st time ever singing on live television, his nerves may have gotten a little in his way but overall, it was still 1,000 times better than Barka, I mean Blanka. He wrote the lyrics & musical composition, his video was his own vision. Jann's hands were all over his own material & performance. He danced and moved waaay more than her and still managed to deliver those beautiful high, falsetto notes at the end. He is so entertaining that he didn't need any dancers or anything to distract us from him. He is a one man band. Blanka needed 5 men to compose the music to Solo and then it took her & 2 other 'friends' to write the lyrics? 😂 What an embarrassment. I could come up with a better song in my sleep. On top of that, I am wondering how much the sound tech was paid to make the sound quality terrible. That or he was drunk. 🤷🏼♀️ Any way you look at it, Jann was robbed and this shouldn't be swept under the rug, no matter who it happened to. For the future integrity of the National Finals and for Eurovision itself. If anyone (Blanka) can buy or (jurors) cheat their way into the competition, well then, its really not a competition anymore, is it? Jurors changed the rules just days before to ensure that Jann did not go through. That is so effed up if you ask me. Jann is a true artist and Blanka sounds like a somewhat brave drunk girl doing karaoke.

I am Polish and I am embarrassed by the choice of Blanka as a representative.
The worst thing is that everyone tries to make haters out of Polish people wanting justice! While the huge majority of Blanka's fans are homophobic, sexist, discriminants towards Jann. They call him gay or f word just because of his style and laughing out of him that he's a butch/transvestite/effeminate. Even worse thing is that Blanka herself supports them so much and says that she loves them and likes this disgusting insults and hate they write. EVEN POLISH MEDIA ARE CORRUPT! They are maybe scared of TVP but idk why they are wrting such a PROPAGANDA that every human who is fighting for the justice against corruption is mad Jann's fan and hater. We - Polish fans of the Eurovision Song Contest - have every reason to think that the jury voting in the Polish National Final, due to which the song Solo won, has been manipulated.
The voting system has been changed in favour of the jury only 4 days before the National Final. Up till now we haven't received the detailed voting of the Polish juries and the sms voting. Polish broadcaster TVP does not react to our petitions regarding transparency of the voting. Moreover, one of the jurors has professional connection with the National Final's winner.
Additionally, the jury chef indicated in numerous intervies and comments that she did not know exactly, how the voting worked. We have many more arguments showing that the jury voting was manipulated.
In this context we demand the cancelling of the jury voting in Poland and accepting the public voting as the official result or withdrawing from this year's Contest.
