I've read them multiple times over like 15 plus years I think they've been out I can't even remember when they did but it was so cool when they did and I read them over and over until the paperback fellow fell apart taped it up and ready again lol
This was the book that got me expelled from 8th grade.
I can't read these books anymore due to increasing blindness, but when I could read physical books, this was my favorite in the series.
I still have all of them.

Immaculate audio and reading by the best, Beggy was perfect for Rebecca’s outing!
Overall very thrilling and ambient without pushing reality.
The shootout at Berry’s was very memorable and characteristic of Umbrella to stalk their conspirators.
The universe in general needs more of these extended scenes and dialogues to really ground our characters in their reality.
As scenes like Jill’s apartment, Leon’s drive to the village, Chris’ arrival to Kijuju or the Winter’s home were very surreal scenes that create normalcy before the chaos, cementing the hero in a tangible story.

This is the best thing that has happened to Rebecca since the original RE and it’s remake because let’s be honest: RE0 just misses the mark; and the CGI movie that came out a few years ago isn’t something that people remember fondly. It’s really nice to see her in the spotlight again.
Ive read Caliban Cove dozen of years ago and still hope Capcom makes a game or movie about it someday xD

the RE novels are so freaking perfect it's rediculous. how it's all weaved together is the absolute pinnacle of RE universe. I wish SD Perry had kept going. They're so so so good with her writing and the attention to lore and everyone's arcs weaving together.
I always hoped for Trent to show up in the games and then instead Capcom just kept defibrillating Wesker 😆😅😭

The resident evil novels are brilliant. If the folks that make movies were smart, they would use these novels as a movie script. They cover the games expertly as well as original stories like this one.
The Tri squad sounds definitely similar to the Cleaners from Biohazard Survivour.

This original novel, game 0 and the CG movie Vendetta show Rebecca still in the fray and doing what drives her the most; too bad Shinji Mikami doesn't like her.
This is an excellent series of books, it was disappointing Perry didn't continue them after zero hour I think was the last? I read them until the pages started falling out

@@BeggyBeggBegg This might split the fanbas. I hated that in RE4 and 5,. For me, personally, it really made the series a lot dumber. That is why I did not like this book when I read it. It didn't seem to get what Resident Evil was about at the time.

@@PeacefulJoint I really liked the gameplay in 4. It didn't really feel like a Resident Evil tho. At this point, Resident Evil was already declining. Code Veronica's story was so dumb, it hurt. RE0 with an anime wizard singing to leeches was even worse. And then came RE4. In the beginning, its atmosphere was really dark and I loved it. Then, in the castle section, it became really shlocky and cheesy. This game gave us a set piece with a giant Salazar statue and it hurts my brain to this day. All of this is, of course, my personal opinion.
We need a resident evil reboot series ASAP

Spoilers!!!!! The only reason I don't love this one as much in the novel universe is mainly because it takes a while to get to the cove and we don't have much in terms of new. The catfish monsters are cool and the Tri-squads are an interesting concept....but not explored enough and the bad guy is taken out pretty simply. Still, amazing voice work and I will be checking out more!
Love these. But for future videos maybe try making better use of sound effects and giving us an atmosphere as well. The sound effects that were used were very random and almost seemed not used correctly in certain areas.
At no fault to RoE or Beggy BeggBegg, who has a nice voice and a clear mic, I highly prefer the read-throughs by the channel @bigfox
They add in classic RE music and sound effects as well as have female and male narrators for the different characters. It does a lot for the production.
They need to make one more animated film about caliban cove and then maybe add something at the end on how she ended up where she was in RE:Vendetta
