For my cover band I bought the @YamahaDrumsEurope Stage Custom Hip Shellset at Thomann. One year I have gained experience with it. In this video I play a bit, talk about the shell sizes and functions and give my long-term review.

Any drum company that doesn't understand memory locks are important on tom arms can kiss it. Who wants to setup and adjust and adjust and adjust when on stage. Yamaha can kiss it.
I agree, but you can just get a memory lock for $7 on Sweetwater or wherever you get music stuff from. Included memory locks are great, but not a deal breaker for me.
@dumpster_mcgee_96 You can do that but what about the tom mount doesn't have a notch for the memory lock. There's the other problem.

Any chance of explaining in detail your tom tuning, head section, dampening, etc?

Great sizes. I’ve recently bought one for both the smaller sizes and the natural wood finish is the exact same as my Pearl DLX kit so I can mix and match the floor toms. I love the sound you get off the floor Tom-incidentally,I’ve removed the snare off the floor Tom,it’s not much use or advantage to me. I may change the heads to remo on stripe laminate heads. I’ve had 2 kits before with 20” bass drums so I’m used to that size of bass drum.

were you doing gigs where you were playing full on rock stuff? ACDC, Zeppelin, that kinda stuff? I know these aren't made for that but wondering if you could make it work with these if you needed.

hallo im video ist es nur das akustische signal. wenn ich es live verwende hab ich einen relativ bassiges sample mit wenig attack.

hi - for the bassdrum a gewa sps 20“x08“ woofer bag. for the snare and tom a 14“x14“ ahead armor case. for the smal tom i use the smalles ahead armor case with 10“ diameter.
I was going to ask the same question-I have the kit and bags will be next if I decide to bring the kit out for gigs. Thank you!!
