Steve Harris is the reason why i" m playin " bass. I saw them in 1984 in Westfalenhalle Dortmund at the piece of mind tour. I was so fascinated about his bass playing .
Only the good die young es una obra de arte ... Lastima jamás haber tenido más relevancia , jamás qué yo sepa ha sido tocada en vivo ... El bajo de Harris a tope ... Buen Vídeo , Saludos desde Bogotá ...Up The Irons 😎
That concert poster on the wall at 4:35, Exodus, Suicidal Tendencies and Pantera, that was Sept. 11, 1990 in Saratoga, Florida. I was supposed to go to that show, lost my plane ticket. I did get to see Exodus, ST and Slayer at the Fillmore in Detroit in 2014, we drove 15 hours non-stop from Winnipeg, Canada through North Dakota, Wisconsin and Chicago and got there just as they were letting people in, if we got stopped for speeding it would have ruined everything.
These live moments proves that Iron Maiden are all excellent musicians, especially Steve Harris on the bass guitar with his two-finger playing technique which makes him a living legend and an icon of his instrument. Between two albums, they play soccer (or football), which makes them excellent and great athletes during their concerts. Steve Harris has a lot of enrrgy on stage. And he is very fast with his fingers on the bass guitar. My favorites with Metallica. One of my favorites on the bass guitar. I hope that Iron Maiden will eventually become the Rolling Stones of heavy metal. They deserve that distinction. Hail Iron Maiden. Hail Steve Harris, the founder of Iron Maiden.
Those Fender Precision basses aren't actually all that expensive.I was surprised. You'd think a guitar make and model that Iron Maiden use would be in the thousands of Pounds but no.When I was looking around asking about Fender P.basses about 4 or 5 years ago they were only about 600 Pounds Sterling for brand new, like in a guitar shop in Nottingham. My favorite incarnation of the Harris FP bass was the sparkle blue with black face plate he used in Live After Death.Pity really he resprayed it,but what the heck,it's HIS Instrument.I love his showmanship too when he Plays, sometimes doing his machine gun aiming pose. Thanks for this exhilarating Video.Up the Irons.
Yeah, Steve never needed fancy instruments and crazy effects to sound fantastic, he is a legend and seeing him live is a spectacle on its own! Thank you very much for watching buddy!
The Pbass is a pretty simple device ; i think Fender take the piss charging thousands for some models with "improvements" . Functional, iconic and generally affordable ; its lasted for a reason !
His #1 bass is a 1971 Fender P-bass. He bought it second hand in the late 70’s, and it’s still his #1 to this day. It was first white, then black, the blue and since the early ‘90’s it’s been sporting the West Ham livery. He has recorded virtually every Maiden song using that same bass!
Iron maiden up to poweslave , was the best band in the World 🌎 !!!! Still love as much as I did when I was a kid , but the music is different. NOBODY ever, ever never, take the place of the guys and they have band especially Steve Harris and Bruce Dickinson!! Those two are the heart of the band. I'm a drummer so of course I love Nikco
Bruce and Harris are indeed the soul of Iron Maiden, but it wouldn't work without Dave, Adrian, Janick and Nicko. Even the best guitar players or drummers wouldn't fit in like they do. Maiden is perfect as it is!
I'm not going to lie. I'm tempted to hit the thumbs down button for cutting Mariner off at the epic part! Other than that, great list. Hard to disagree with anything there!
I know! Rime is so good it's almost a crime to cut it the way I did. But you can see both guitar solos in my other videos, so don't worry! This awesome song is getting all the respect it deserves! Thanks for watching and please hit the thumbs up!
Of course I'm not a fan. YOU are a fan. You know everything there is to know about Iron Maiden. You're probably Harris himself. Me? I'm a nobody. But I like my top 10. And I could have selected some B-Sides just to prove I'm a fan, but do I really need to do that?
What's so strange to me about Steve Harris is the way he makes this snarling, growly face when he plays as if he's playing harsh, aggressive music. Then you listen to the music and it sounds wimpy. I can understand if he actually played heavy metal, but this guy plays melodic rock. Why is he snarling? Lol what a weirdo.
Have you ever tried to play Iron Maiden on bass? It's harder than some of the most aggressive music you've ever listened to. The "growly face" is not theatrics.
@@LeandroDelPrete Anyway the point remains that Harris' expressions do not match with the sound of his music, and I find it odd. Maiden sounds so unaggressive.
@@Demonizer5134 Really subjective, mate. Compared to Pink Floyd, it's rather aggressive. But next to Darkthrone, it is not. It depends on your point of view. Thanks for watching, anyways!
Hands down one of the best bassists and songwriters of my generation!!!
I like about Steve that he knew that Bass is very important part of his songs that he hit a perfect harmony to hear his Bass skills
Steve Harris is beyond amazing, so glad I was born while Iron Maiden exists! Up the Irons!
Harris is like no other. His sound is his. He's the best ever. Up the Irons!!
Steve Harris has been my favorite bass player since I was first introduced to Iron Maiden with Killers.
Steve Harris his the best bass player i ever heard! He was different than others and he just stood out.
Love that percussive treble tone on The Clairvoyant.
Harris' style is unmistakable!
Steve Harris é uma lenda viva! Suas linhas de baixo são incríveis!
Steve Harris is a Monster..!! Fascinating..!!💌💖
Steve Harris is really a slice of heaven. I´m not religious, but that is a very good way to sum up his talent, musicianship, and overall personality.

Una de mis canciones favoritas! Un solo de bajo matador y melodías de guitarra increíbles! Saludos desde Brasil e up the Irons!
Up the Irons ... 🤗
Steve Harris inspired me to get bass.

I seen Steve Harris's daughter in an Iron Maiden female cover band oh, she was just as badass as her ol man !!!
Not to mention she's quite the looker!
The Iron Maiden song must not be missing from this list. It is insane, especially the last part.
Good one. I don't even know why I missed it. Making these top 10 is no easy task.
Steve compelled me to play bass and keep playing
all moments of STEVE are BEST MOMENTS !!!
You got it sir!
Even now that he's getting older, his playing is still top drawer excellent...
My favourite heavy metal band..
That run to the hills part is insane!
Intro The Red and the Black is also amazing

The part that leads ti pause on rime of the ancient Mariner together with the nomad central part....that's for me best Steves jobs
Power, closed hand
That fucking right hand...
The best badass bass player to ever step on a stage quick lightning clean bass player
Rime of ancient mariner....this part you show is good but the superb is the previous one...the one that leads to the stop... there steves bass burns!
Mitici i migliori degli ultimi 50 anni.🤘🤘🖕🖕✌️✌️👌👌😋😅🌷😎

No Wrathchild?
I'm dissapointed that the solo from "Charlotte the Harlot" didn't make the cut. Maybe the "Top 10 Vol. 2"
The dedication the determination of steve but give me adrian any day im really attracted to adrian smith
22 Acacia Avenue, Piece of Mind Tour Dortmund 1983??
Mr. Harris it's the best!
1 é bom os 2 já são demais..
Quero tanto ouvir To Tame a Land ao vivo
Sensacional né? Eu choraria igual uma criança.

Wonder if Steve Harris and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones will be jamming together now sometime? His daughter and his son just got married.
