The legs turned out great Kevin! I like that you injected them with some Tony's! A couple of these in a big ole pot of collard greens would rock! Delicious video bud! Take care!
Thanks Rob 👍 it's hard to plan ahead to brine LOL which is always :) so Tony's to the rescue! And it works great to keep them moist. Now you're talkin' my language, I like the idea of a pot of collard greens to go with them!!! Maybe next time? Thanks for coming by!
Awesome! It should turn out great! I never seem to think far enough ahead to brine, but I never did brine in all my years. If you cook it to the right temp, it usually comes out great! And injecting it doesn't hurt! Happy Thanksgiving!
Kevin this is brilliant! Never thought of wrapping and braising Turkey but this makes so much sense. Love this idea and will definitely copy cat lol. I have a cook coming up for the fire station and wanted something different. Thanks for sharing I learned a ton!
Thanks Gary, what can I say? I don't always plan a day or two ahead of time LOL! And they did come out great if I do say so myself :) Glad I could help and I hope the fire station crew loves them too! Thanks for taking the time to watch Gary!!!
Thank you very much! The injectable works great! I can't seem to ever plan ahead to brine stuff so I improvise :) And using the injectable does the trick! Hope you enjoy! Cheers!
Great choice! LOL yeah it was the biggest "WAS" and they were probably the best turkey legs to date :) Thanks for watching and hop you are having a Great Day!
What is your rub recipe for chicken and pork? Everybody does it differently. Do you have a link? I have not smoked turkey drumsticks before but I am going to brine them and then put a rub on.
Thanks for checking this out! I don't remember what exactly I used for these. But this link will take you to a very classic rub that can be used mostly on chicken and pork. You can adjust it for just about any cook. It has sugar. So you can exclude it, or add a hot spice to spice it up, or adjust it to your liking. mankitchenrecipes.com/recipes/774/Rubs/l/300/My-All-Around-Dry-Rub-For-Smoking-Just-About-Everything.html I hope you have an awesome weekend!👍✌️
Yes that injection really gets it ready the season bottle of seasoning LOVE IT 😇😇😇😇
Thanks for checking this out! Injecting these legs first really adds to the flavor and keeps them moist! Have a great day!👍

Beautiful color on the big bird legs I bet you took a nice nap after eating them
Hahahahaha no naps for me LOL! But they were some of the best I've made to date! Thanks Jared, hop your having a Great Day!
Looks good brother was the butter unsalted
Thanks for checking this out! No, the butter was salted. I rarely use unsalted and usually do not use much salt anyway. Have a great day!
Looks delicious. Any advice on how I can keep the turkey skin from being rubbery?
When your smoking it hit it every here and there with some butter and a Bastet or a mister
@@mad_max2065 - Thanks for the tip. Good looking out ✌🏾
Add cornstarch to your rub, but that only works if you don't wrap them.
@@jailer96 - Good looking out
Where do you get the turkey injector
Mine came with Tony's Injectibles. We buy it annually so we've got a few of them.
