- Every backyard Pit Master needs to know how to smoke turkey legs (drumsticks) in their smoker. Smoked Turkey legs, when smoked properly are very juicy and flavorful. Subscribe: / @weekendwarriorbbq
I'm using my Pit Boss Pellet Smoker today to smoke these turkey legs but you can use any kind of smoker. I like to smoke them at 250 degrees F because this gives them enough time to absorb some good smoke flavor and allows the skin to firm up.
I brine all of my smoked turkey overnight with my tried and true turkey brine.
Here are the links to the turkey brine and the brine bucket. Order them today. They always sell out quickly.

Love your videos, Mike! I have the Briner buckets too, just love them. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful job
Awesome cook!
Thank you Pete
Great Turkey!!!!
Great video Mike, when you said the big ones i laughed they all looked big::) But seriously awesome technique got that down to a T.
Look like Edward Norton gained a little weight eating all that bbq 😂
Oh man those turkey legs looked amazing! That brine is awesome and I gotta check out that rub. My Ace hardware store has some many rubs and spices. Fit for a king Mike! Nicely done brother! Cheers!
Thank you Jay!
Going to ace tomorrow. Going to try Meat Church brine. Like the idea of the pecan rub. Great presentation thanks
The meat church brine is excellent
Mike, this is cruel and unusual BBQ punishment…those legs look so tasty and here I am with a burger and a beer…awesome my friend…awesome!
🤣🤣🤣 I’m sorry to do that to you Luis!
Love it Mike! Keep entertaining us with your smoke savvy skills!
Mike I’m glad you made this video because I just love Turkey legs!😋
I noticed how beautiful your yard looks and the tomato plants, did you create this landscape? If so you are the master!
Thank you! Yes, My garden/landscape has taken years to bring together. Every year I try to make it a little better 😁
Like literally i was talking about how hard it is to find turkey legs and then you started talking about where to find them🤣🤣. That looked good brotha! Think ill be doing that Sunday
I’ve got you covered! Enjoy those turkey legs Chris! I appreciate you
You did a video with the pecan rub on a pork loin. I tried it and it’s the bomb bro! It’s my new fav rub.
That rub is outstanding! I’m glad you like it as much as I do. You have good taste my friend
I would love to try this, but, Amazon says $42 for the briner [plastic bucket] and $27 for the brine [2 uses], at that price you may want to add a crack pipe to your shopping list!
Good god I’m trying this! Wont even wait for Canadian thanksgiving. Those look amazing. When you say ‘cooking spray’ for the rub to stick, you’re talking about simply a standard non-stick spray? Thanks for posting. 🇨🇦🦃
I always post my smoked turkey videos early for our Canadian friends. Any non-stick cooking spray will do. In this video I used Pam but use whatever you can find locally
Anyone know a trick to get rid of the tendons in a turkey leg?
Amazing Job as usual Mike. Ill have to give that cosmos a try. Where did you get those legs?? Walmart??
Thanks Tommy. Walmart has the legs
Great video. Have you ever used duck fat spray as a binder and to help crisp up the skin?
Duck fat makes an excellent binder.
@@WeekendWarriorBBQ Great! I just bought some. Will try it on the turkey legs
Mike! Any thoughts on horizontal pellet grills?
Hi Steve. They work just as good and you can grill on them too. The reason I chose the vertical is it takes up less space and it holds a lot more pellets.
What kind of pellets did you use
Hi James. I used Traeger Hickory Blend
Why not let the dirty smoke clear before you put them in, why not a pre heated smoker?
