@@Voidwalker093 Oh yeah, I do have a better mic currently, you can hear it in action with the Update video I made for the Iceberg. and thanks for the kind words, really keeps me going on future projects.
Equipment description in MH is hype as hell, every weapon seems like a tool made by a god to inflict the most painful of deaths it's honestly unsetling.
Zorah dies out in the ocean as explained by the commander. The guiding lands zorah is simply another zorah which we know from the biologist are scarily more common than you'd think
@@protecriontundrastrategist73 no. The commission watched It die and according to in game lore you find the zorah i the frost Island died a long time ago
Zorah being common might explain why there are so many active volcanoes throughout the world of MH Hell, some of them might have been a cluster of Zorahs lying dormant beneath the surfaces, endlessly spewing molten lava as they sleep
@@ekosubandie2094 that's something the biologist mentioned. You never know what hill or mountain might be a zorah because they hibernate for long periods of time
Im honestly surprised to how Zorah isnt mentioned as one of the 5 dragons whe he (kinda) fits the description of "went into the sea and turned into the land" bit
I absolutely loved the music used here. I really enjoyed how much darker the music became as we delved deeper. Honestly felt my mood shift as we got deeper. Keep up the good work.
What about the man in the red cloak? He's the one who gives you extremely dangerous quests such as the old Fatalis quest and many more and he seem to enjoy it as well. Also 1 week before castle schrade was destroyed by Fatalis the man in the red cloak had given the king a warning that disaster was soon going to befall the kingdom then Fatalis appeared.
@@regishwadum pretty much all MH games where Fatalis trio are in except for Iceborne (that one was official Guild-approved operation) He's the usual client for those particular quests if you check their respective quest descriptions
Hmmm....heres a theory...since a hunter that wears Fatalis armor eventually becomes another Fatalis, what if this "man in the red cloak" is somehow growing or perpetuating these Fatalis? He sortuh just has a farm of people in Fatalis gear slowly becoming more to which he sends hunters to kill?
25:42 Well thats easy enough, see, while Yian Garuga gained the community title of _Purple Prick Chicken_ , Gypceros got the moniker *_Rubber Dipshit Chicken_*
On the Tower being made of kushala daora I think instead of just slaying thousands of kushala, it makes more sense that the people who built it domesticated or lived along side them, using their shed skin to build it It is honestly more insteresting than just killing them
I think the closest we got to the equal dragon weapon is the hunter himself. He makes his armor out of Monster parts and is capable to fight on equal terms with elder dragons.
The hunter literally has the power to somehow dodge everything by jumping and then flopping on the ground. If thats not Elder Dragon worthy idk what is.
@@freshlymemed5680not only that but the power to run as if they’re carrying nothing only to fee like they’re carrying an entire packmule the second they unsheathe their greatsword
Back in 3U my step brother needed 2 aqua sacks for a pair of dual blades. We hunted 12 Royal Ludroth and he didn't recieved a single one. Not long after he decided to pursue a different weapon, he got both in one hunt.
The Tomb Hydra one has a potential to be in Rise considering that theres a large pyramid there that also has a hidden golden cobra in one of the chambers
@@Raizex97 No one said it was likely, but just because the pyramids have been there since tri doesn't disprove the possibility that the Tomb Hydra could possibly get added.
I'm surprised that he didn't mention a theory that monster hunter's world has lower gravity than our world. Which came around due to the fact that fall damage doesn't exist.
While this could be true, as the monsters in our world would collaspe under their own weight and have many breathing problems, the hunters that we are, are blessed with wyverian genes that practically turn us into super soldiers that rival Captain America in strength and durability. So nah, we're just extraordinary (as there are normal humans in MH)
@@RegretfulBirdConsumer It's a joke entry poking fun at all the other Iceberg's, at the time of making this video at least, had one of these "[DO NOT RESEARCH]" entries that were filled with haunted spooky stuff that will affect you in real life and stuff like that.
The dragon that sank into the ocean and became the land is clearly Zorah Magdaros who died and formed the Guiding Lands. Also, no "Yian Garuga is a Yian Kut-Ku who drowned in the Swamp" or however the story goes?
The story goes like this: A Yian Kut-Ku was driven out of its territory and had to find a new hunting ground in the poisonous swamps. It got into a fight with another Kut-Ku over the place and during the fight it was pushed into the swamp and slowly sank. Its rival watched for a few moments, before turning to leave it for dead. The newcomer sank so deep into the swamp, it reached the ground where it could stand but only its beak could peak out to breath. The Kut-Ku stayed in this spot for quiet a while, so long that the poison became one with its scales and flesh. At some point of time, it got disturbed and in a final attempt to break free, it sank deeper into the swamp to charge a final jump. It managed to jumped out, but was no longer a Yian Kut-Ku, yet its hatred towards Yian Kut-Ku rivals was just as big as Fatalis's hatred towards humans.
I find it funny that no one ever talks about the fact that Dire Miralis is a lava spewing water based fatalis. Same base body and penchant for immortality.
The only reason for is that he only appeared in one game and that his Lore is smaller than the other black dragons....That or i dont think would fight him with water combat involved
on the topic of the every mh is personalized, iirc in mh3u or tri your charm pool was determined by the system time the save file was created, so in a sense this really is true
How deep into MH I am: I might not have heard lots of the specific theories deeper down but once I heard the thesis I instantly knew what it claimed and what the claim was based on. I knew of all the scrapped monster designs and I knew of the existence of the other games including some inticacies of these games. You gonna mention that theory of Duremudira being EDW in those upcoming videos? Or Disufiroa being adult Alatron? The japan exclusive game theories would probably be some of the best deep layer stuff :P
All very interesting entries that I would love to go over. But maybe not in the upcoming videos, since those Icebergs were made by some other people in the community. If things go right,, I was thinking of making a definitive Monster Hunter Iceberg after all is said and done. More of a pipedream since if I make that, it will easily be over an hour long and will need a fair amount of time put into it since I don't make videos for profit. But hey, the more entries suggestions the better.
Okay so shara ishfalda is the mountains, safi-jiva is the sapphire star, that stands is there a chance that zorah magneros could be the island itself and the valcona could be the lakes and yamatsukami could be the forests Edit: the last ones a bit of a stretch
The lakes could be Namielle and Yama seems to have some kind of truth in it based on how they're initially planned to be shown as background monster for Elder's Recess in the concept artwork
Yama Tsukami in Frontier had a Origin species (a ancient relative) that could instantly grow trees out of nowhere to attack you, so i don't see it as big strech.
Howdy folks, it's still mind-boggling that this video got me got over 100 subs. Still in the dumps on what to do as one of the planned videos fell apart when the footage I had got corrupted. Sorry again if you were expecting a video to be out by now, since I don't do UA-cam as a job, it's not the biggest priority at the moment. Regardless of that, y'all are awesome for giving me a chance! Hope to see you in the next video, whenever or if ever that comes out. Peace! EDIT: And no, I'm not Cory Spazkid, honestly blew my mind with how similarly we sound though.
I dont know if you ever feel like committing to the reforged version of this, but I hope you do. This was a very enjoyable video even if I already knew about most of this.
You forgot something in the video it was how fatalis would melt other hunters and use them as his armor to mock the hunters that use monsters parts to wear armor of
that desire sensor bit hurt my soul. on my second play through (first one i was carried through the entire game of world by my friend and wanted to do things properly and do it solo to git gud) and i killed the anjanath 37 times befor i gave up trying to get the anjanath plate to craft the chest piece i think it was. i wanted the armor set so bad and i was so happy i was doing good. my god
In the newest game Monster Hunter Rise, in the frost islands map there is another Zorah Magdaros skull that even has a dragonator in it and the lore about the map says that there was a battle between people and dragons there. I wonder what happened there.
The hyper virus imo is probably actually a weaker form of the frenzy virus that was overcome more easily, so instead of forming an apex monster, it only boosted the power of the body part where the monster was initially affected.
The tower isn't necessarily made from dead Kushala Daora, as you even mentioned in the video you mine from an old shed. It would be more likely the tower is made from sheds, as the old civilization might have had technology to keep masses of them in captivity, and take the sheds when they molt theoretically creating an endless supply of materials. I don't believe that's the case, it's probably some oversight and they weren't trying to imply that, but it's fun to think about. EDW has been confirmed to not be canon too.
Speaking of armor descriptions reminds me of the Ancient armor description, i always found it intresting due the lack of description it have just like telling you different words like "Talentless" or "...For the sake of truth"
pretty good video overall though I think there is one missing thing that would have been great to include, the original vision of portable 3rd which was essentially a PSP port of Frontier before being canned and us getting the Portable 3rd we actually got, only one image of it remains as far as I know (the photo with the Espinas + MHFU HUD, Frontier itself uses an entirely different HUD).
I had a personal theory that Nakarkos and Valstrax were untold rivals. Both are heavy dragon element wielders, but every other aspect is completely complimentary. Nakarkos is absolutely crippled by dragon element attacks while Valstrax (at least before world) was the one exception to the "dragon is weakest to dragon" rule. Nakarkos is a very defense-based monster in the way it fights, preferring to attack with heavy bursts of high damage attacks and extremely tough armor at the cost of virtually no mobility, while Valstrax is an incredibly fast and nimble, almost assassin-like fighter. Valstrax, while a unique take on a dragon, is still a more traditional dragon while Nakarkos isn't a dragon at all, but an extremely powerful cephalopod. Nakarkos rules the sea and the abyss while Valstrax rules over the sky. Both are heavily associated with the stars, with Valstrax being referred to as the Silver-Winged Scarlet star and Nakarkos the Hellfire star, and all of their equipment descriptions talk of battles in space, with Nakarkos being on the defensive while Valstrax is the destroyer, which funnily enough is the complete opposite of how their ecologies actually work. Valstrax is peaceful until provoked, being stated to stay far from human habitation while Nakarkos is a priority threat the moment it's observed. Perhaps then, these descriptions were written by cultists who worshipped the Nakarkos, the same ones who chant in Nakarkos' phase 1 theme. (although admittedly that one is a big stretch so take it with a heap of salt) It's also implied that the ruined pinnacle was a temple or community that worshipped Valstrax as a god, hence the temple with the comet symbol that's connected to a road leading to the Valstrax nest at the top of the great pillar. It's also possible that the community on the ruined pinnacle is the one spoken of in the "A Bone to Pick" quest description, that stated Nakarkos devoured and destroyed an entire village including a newborn child. It would then stand to reason that a rivalry could be born.
Honestly the "dragon is weakest to dragon" rule does not apply nearly as much as people make it seem, it only really applied in gens 1 and 2, like in gen 1 you had fatalis and lao which were weak to dragon, but then kirin isn't really weak to anything and even then it's most prominent weakness is fire. In gen 2 they kept the first 3 with their weaknesses and added, Chameleos, Kushala, Lunastra, Teostra and Yama Tsukami, all 5 of them weak to dragon. But it all goes downhill from there, in the third gen, ceadeus is weak to dragon yes, but then jhen is a bit weaker to ice, and its subspecies is weaker to fire, Amatsu and Dire Miralis are weakest to dragon but Alatreon is weak to everything depending on its mood. 4th gen has it worse as it reintroduces Teostra, Kushala and Chameleos who are no longer weakest to dragon but respectively water/ice, fire and fire again, then the new shagaru and dalamadur ( and shah too ) are weakest to dragon but Gogmazios is weird and is moderately weak to fire all throughout the fight but is only really weak to dragon during its second phase, Nakarkos is weak to dragon but like you said valstrax is weak to everything BUT dragon. Really now it feels like the series is straying more and more away from this rule, as I feel like half of the elder dragons we currently have just don't fit the bill
I will say, with the most recent Title Update for Sunbreak, it certainly seems like the Amatsu vs. Valstrax rivalry is canon. The reason being that Crimson Glow Valstrax shows up in its ambush attack during the Amatsu fight every time. The only exception to this is when you have Utsushi as a follower for the quest, in which case he lures a Rampage Apex Zinogre to the fight.
The fact that this vid has 91k views and this man has under 1k subs is criminal. I can’t imagine how long it must have been to record and edit all of this...
On the topic of Hunters being the true monsters, I believe to some extent that there would be Hunters that hunt purely for sport, whereas the majority hunt by necessity to balance the ecosystem. My theory is that the initial quest is the pure iteration of that quest while subsequent runs are purely for us. In essence, as Hunters, we get what we “Need” from the first quest story-wise in regards to materials, balance, etc. while the quests thereafter create the gameplay loop where we obviously have to get the drops WE need as players to make our armor and weapons. At least, that’s what I like to believe.
If you think about it, in MHW the whole team you are in arrives with a single ship, the HQ is just a few hundred people and just less then a half of them are hunters. I think its just impossible for you to have an effect on the ecosystem. Just like how its with isolated tribes in South America, their ecological footprint is almost nonexistent.
I was surprised that the Manga wasn't on the list. Myo Galuna is quite the interesting elder dragon. Not to mention that as the "Shining Dragon" it's title is suspiciously similar to the fan rumoured "Shining Blue Dragon" also known as the White Alatreon.
Yeah, sorry about that, as the creator of this Iceberg, I overlooked a lot of things that could've made it into the Iceberg, but hey, here we are. Plus the possibility of a defenitive Iceberg is in the air at the moment. Thanks for the entry suggestion ^^;
Another theory to add to the iceberg is: Monster Hunter Frontier happens years after the main series, because of how advanced technology is, explaining why the Tonfas and Magnetic Spike aren't weapons in the main series, and why you can fight the Six-Horned Fatalis (according to legends, this is the Fatalis that will bring the end of the world). Duremudira is a dragon created and left behind by the Ancient Civilization to protect something very valuable for them, but when you beat him is not dead because you hear it still breathing. When you beat Fatalis, actually is not dead, it's still alive even when you transform it's parts into armor and weapons, that's why the hunters feel strange when they use the armor for to long. And also that explains why the gigantic sword in Pokke village regenerates. Fatalis is covered in dead hunters bodies, and that is mentioned in the Illustrations books. Boggerbadorme's original apearence is extinct, that's why you ONLY find Zenith Boggerbadorme instead of original ones. White Fatalis is the common ancestor of every single wyvern, including wyverians. Queen Bnahabra was supposed to be a real monster, but only is mentioned in a Bnahabra item in MH3. The titanic skeleton in Jurassic Jungle. To which monster belongs? In the Polar Sea, Area 4 (Monster Hunter Frontier) there is a frozen Lao-Shan Lung. How it get in there and end up frozen? Gobul armor was used during the Great Dragon War, according to Gobul's armor description in 3rd gen, that is the armor used during the war, but doesn't specifies which war, but the only conflict known was the GDW. Alatreon is the juvenile form of Dhisufiroa, both share the same skeleton and control the same elements, but Alateron is more unstable and Dhisufiroa is the stable, or mature, form of it. Paint Balls are used as drugs, according to a conversation with the sells girl in Moga store, she says that some hunters like to smell the Paint Balls, and doing that can destroy the brain. Pariapuria (a MH Frontier flying wyvern) preys on Rajang. Every Misutzune you encounter is male, and every Gammoth you encounter is female, more than a theory, is a fact, but is curious to me. Hellblade Glavenus are actually females. Amatsu and Shantien are related, speeching of wich. Where is that volcano when Shantien phase 3 battle occurs? Tenrou monsters, in Monster Hunter Frontier there is a locale called Tenrou, is a tower full of traps left behind by the Ancient Civilization, but the big question is: How the big monsters entered in there without losing their lives in the process? Dragons horns, it is known that Chameleos, Teostra, Kushala Daora and Kirin's powers comes from their horns. So it is theorized that Fatalis, Safi'Jiiva and many other dragons with superpowers actually their force comes from its horns. Merphostophelin are related to Fatalis, and can control all the elements, but in the trailer, it is shown that these dragons are afraid of something that obscures the skies seconds before the trailer ends. The New World looks like an asteroid crater, at least most of the map of the New World. An according to that, it was theorized that actually Xeno'Jiiva came from space, because of the alien like aspect and being the only monster known to have claws similar to human hands. From wich village are the hunters originally? Because the only hunter to have a birthplace well known is the one in the first Monster Hunter, because your hunter is native of the Kokoto village, but the other hunters? I know they are hired by the guild to help other villages, but my question still stands on. And i can say that the Desire Sensor theory is right, specially in MH3 where you can use the Wiimote to select from the list of objects in the forge the one that you need, and I only needed one specific item and never got it in my life. And that every MH game is personalized I can tell is almost true because, in Freedom Unite when I was in the Jungle completing a mission, I cut in half a Velociprey using the Dual Blades, cut in half a Velociprey and got no loot from it, obviously it only appeared two Velociprey but more transparent, like if I cut it in half. And in Gen Ultimate, in my game in 3DS, because I got the 3ds version, when I used the Hunting Horn, there is a move from the HH that you can use to cut tails, well, in my case, and only my case, the game crashed every single time I use that move 5 times in a row, but a friend of mine that also had that same game for the 3ds, didn't occur to him. And since then I'm scary of using a Hunting Horn again. And that's my report, going back to you Joaquin.
Heh, that's a lot to work with, I've been wanting to make a remastered Iceberg now that I have a better mic and such, but since I'm currently in a creative slump, it'll be a while before I can make it happen. Plus, with all the stuff I added on after the fact along with all this, it would easily be over an hour long. Regardless, I really do appreciate the extra entries to work with later. Cheers! EDIT: Also, I did go over Fatalis' special ability in the "Every Fatalis is a trapped Hunter" entry. Will definitely go into more detail next go around though.
Well, most of this information I got it from a UA-cam channel called Masamune TV, from Chile. If you know spanish then you can learn a LOT about the Monster Hunter's lore. The videos that speaks more about lore are The Enciclopedia Gigantica, and Las Crónicas del Gremio (Guild's Chronicles in spanish). I forgot to mention a couple more of theories to add. The blob in Frozen Seaway, in Area 7, in the Zamtrios nest, if you pay attention to the walls, there is a gray blob that moves like it was breathing. The fifth hunter curse. This is a fact that appears in the Illustrations book, but is a bit dark if you ask me. It says that long ago the hunts always had 5 hunters, but when the Kokoto heroe (Kokoto's chief) was hunting a Lao-Shan Lung, the dragon escaped but also killed Kokoto's chief fianceé, and since then the guild said that only groups of four hunters because five was a cursed number. Curious to me because the rule of the 4 brakes when you fight Laviente in MH Frontier, where you can go with up to 16 players just to stop that thing. Well, they say that only in special cases the rule of 4 must be broken. I don't know if there is an english translation of the videos of this guy. But I must see all of that content again because my mind is a bit fuzzy remembering some details. Hope to see the updated iceberg, because you are the only one that I know that touches this type of things about MH. Change the world, my final message. Good Bye.
Something interesting, one of the kids in Moga village says, what if there's monsters on space/moon and how he was the only person that tought of this but maybe unrelated so I dunno
Something that I feel needs to be pointed out is that the desire sensor isn't actually real, it's simply a meme used when people fail to get a rare drop.
Just wanted to say Frenzy was only in MHGU because it was introduced in 4U. It was part of Gore Magala's shtick where he was the one spreading the virus. This correction in ur future video would be great.
Layer 5 made me realize i spent too much time in twilight princess' water temple also know for a fact that my mhw experience was vastly different than my friends. Particularly going into high rank i was always followed by bezelgeuse. Every mission he would fly in and aggressively attack and follow me. I thought it was scripted due to the consistency of it. As someone just entering high rank my armor was not up to stuff and i would get one shotted by most if not all of his attacks. My friend on the other hand never saw bezelgeuse until later when he wanted to hunt it. I also would never get certain drops, until of course i get one or enough to build a weapon with it then it drops in multiples. Like shara ishvaldas jaw bone essentially. Once i broke his face once i would get it as a quest reward essentially in later attempts.
I’ve got one extra for layer 10. Shara Ishvalda was a deity from a higher plane of existence but was cast out for defying Buddha, as so he was banished to the earth. Forever trapped in its monstrous form and Shara has been seeking revenge ever since, absorbing energy from the everstream to gain back his true form.
Nergigante is the end and the beginning, destroying the old to make way for the new. All cycles must end. Nergigante could represent the end of a kalpa.
just something ive super noticed and havnt seen been talked about, the gaia dragon and equal dragon weapon look strikingly similar with the flat face, teeth, horns, and even the wings a lil bit just a bit of a theory given they are both concept art, weather theyre canon to lore or not maybe they were meant to be connected originally

I bet that makes complete since for Digimon, but for something on the more realistic side like MH, that's really unlikely, hell we even have confirmation that Fatalis grows at a frightening rate when hatched from an egg, being fully grown within hours compared to the relatively long amount of time it takes for a Xeno to become a Safi
@@acozygoji DO we know it takes a Xeno a long time to become a Safi? I thought the run from Base World to Iceborne was a few in-lore months or a year tops?
@@KamenRiderRaiden Context Clues, Look at the Secluded Valley, all that mess is caused by a Xeno'jiiva shedding its skin alot, and I mean, to a crazy degree. Sure we know about the one Xeno'jiiva in the Elder's Recess, but we don't know about the Guiding Lands one, where it could've been there for god knows how long. Hell, the Handler even says "It's shedded its skin countless time here." and "Given how we found the place, it must've matured and molted its skin numerous times." Not saying it takes years or so to grow, as it probably can grow at a pretty scary rate as well, but compared to Fatalis, it still takes significantly longer to grow.
Fatalis being haunted hunters falls pretty much in line with the lore of Dragon's Dogma, a Capcom game from the brother team of Monster Hunter (The dragon-type enemies there share Daora moveset and many weapon attack animations are the same from MH series)
Apparently the reason you only encounter Monoblos in solo is because it's endangered, and you're only authorized to hunt it if it's directly threatening a village. No requests come from the guild to take care of a Monoblos, only from locals, and thus you never get Monoblos hub quests.
0:52 "fatalis is the final jiiva" i actually thought of something similar to this I was wondering if jiiva was similar to the fatalis's in how it was said fatalis wiped out most of the old civilization (i think the old civilization was said to be mostly wiped out?) If im correct jiiva is supposed to wipe out humanity due to hunters hunting a lot of monsters to near extinction in the old world if i can remember correctly So the goal of the commission back in the old world was to go to the new world and instead of hunt monsters for new materials they were supposed to hunt when necessary to prevent monsters extinctions So the monster hunter world when hunters were hunting monsters to extinction the world reacted and started forming jiiva as a solution I was wondering if fatalis was the same as jiiva but after hearing more on fatalis's lore i started thinking of this Fatalis, unlike jiiva as far as we know, is Unnatural and we don't even if fatalis (or i dont at least) even born or was created Jiiva was born from other monsters energy (possibly the life force of nature and monsters themselves) which makes jiiva more natural and the opposite of fatalis Fatalis is what I'd call a living curse... fatalis's armors and weapons all have dark descriptions of those that wear the armor have nightmares of what fatalis has done, they also hear voices of those fatalis has killed. Its said that hunters also eventually disappear without a trace where its also said they turn into a fatalis themselves... i heard that if even a single scale of fatalis survives that he can apparently reform back into his original form... Jiiva was capable of leeching the life force of the earth itself to heal its wounds entirely and uses pure energy for its attacks from the life force it was born from. It could be that nature is making a sacrifice of that energy to wipe out something that nature see's as us being a Parasite that went out of hand but is now changing, which also makes the story of what will happen if it turns out something like this What really makes me curious tho is that is fatalis truly Unnatural? Or are the stories just that, stories Jiiva is capable of wiping the life force of the land around it and I'd say if it grew past its safi stage cpuld be capable of doing that to monsters which would kill them What would that do to something like fatalis? If it doesnt do anything to fatalis that would mean fatalis is unnatural... and wasn't born from the earth itself Im also curious if fatalis was the old civilizations way of actually stopping the jiiva's to Was jiiva the original way the world wanted to wipe out the old civilization due to the exact same reasons? And so after they analyzed jiiva's back then they created something that had no life in itself to fight against jiiva? I'd say safi'jiiva hasn't gotten to the capability of draining the life of monsters if its capable of it like that xeno'jiiva couldn't do the things safi did because it was still growing I wonder if maybe the very final jiiva if there happens to be a 4th one after a 3rd thats grown to full capability might even be the end game to MH6 or the one after (or whenever)
In monster hunter PS2 is there any chance to cut off wyvern tail with bowgun? Because in the trailer there's scene where the Hunter cut off wyvern tail with bowgun
That's a good question, but sadly, I can't prove it since my copy of MH PS2 got pretty roughed up by someone. Definitely an interesting prospect though.
The trailer you're talking about, was if i recall correctly footage of the demo build. It was to get the idea out there when looking for investors and hiring new talent. All they had made for the game was what you see in the footage, and as such things were subjected to change. If i'm not also mistaken the reason they changed bowguns from cutting tails was because they wanted weapons to have differing roles. Blades cut tails, bowguns are ranged and all that jazz. I'm pretty sure Gaijinhunter did a video about the history of the first MH, and some of this was mentioned in that if you want to check it out.
It's likely that zorah magdaros is the dragon from the five that became the island itself. As for the forest and lake ones, dunno, bit the huge tree in the ancient forest might be a good place to start thinking...
Personally ive been playing the games since mh-tri. and I didn't know most of this. I guess because i like the gameplay more then the lore. like some of the stuff i knew and others i didnt. The lore definitely adds even more to the games though. might start learning some of this stuff.
With all these theories, I can now think of a good plot. For example, the hyper virus could be a bio-weapon that aims to kill the most powerful monster named fatalis, but then the creators of this said virus lost control of that bio-weapon and it resulted to a much worse scenario.
Ah right. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I actually got the Hyper State wrong, as it isn't a virus, but a state akin to Tempered or Arch Tempered Monsters
Kinda late to the party and someone might have mentioned it already, but I'm pretty sure it's said on the lore that the guiding lands itself are made from Zora Magdaros, so it's not that he died there it's that it was formed from the energy he released in his death
The desire sensor is way to real. I get gems, mindstones, and other rare materials from monsters yet when im making a set I can't get what I need. An example is when I was making and upgrading my Gammoth armor. I always needed cortex. No matter how much I hunted, captured or did I could not get any. It even gave me the rare gem from them that is about a 1% or so chance. It took me 2 days of nonstop hunting Gammoth to upgrade my armor to what I wanted. Also fun fact Fatalis becomes an adult within a few hours as the game states that some hunters/researchers saw a Fatalis egg hatch and watched it grow to adult size within 3 or so hours (I can't remember the exact amount but it's close enough). And the Lao's we fight are either babies or young since the skull Shen Goran has is a lot bigger than the heads of the ones we fight now just add flesh and its scales and imagine the size of the head alone. Truly amazing.
I'm too scared to admit that I know the majority of the video before even watchinig it. My personal headcanon is that Gobul is the juvenile species of the ancient serpent.
A little part of me is dreading to see if this becomes popular somehow.
EDIT: Shit.
Ya deserve it
Shit indeed

What about the man in the red cloak? He's the one who gives you extremely dangerous quests such as the old Fatalis quest and many more and he seem to enjoy it as well. Also 1 week before castle schrade was destroyed by Fatalis the man in the red cloak had given the king a warning that disaster was soon going to befall the kingdom then Fatalis appeared.

The dragon that sank into the ocean and became the land is clearly Zorah Magdaros who died and formed the Guiding Lands.
Also, no "Yian Garuga is a Yian Kut-Ku who drowned in the Swamp" or however the story goes?
The story goes like this:
A Yian Kut-Ku was driven out of its territory and had to find a new hunting ground in the poisonous swamps.

No, no, it makes a lot of sense
The lakes could be Namielle and Yama seems to have some kind of truth in it based on how they're initially planned to be shown as background monster for Elder's Recess in the concept artwork
@@ekosubandie2094 I agree with Yama as the forest, but I think ceadeus is a better fit for the lakes / ocean

Imagine the engineers being given the idea to make a tower from Kushala's sheddings
Sweet vid dude, I love this stuff
(although admittedly that one is a big stretch so take it with a heap of salt)
It's also implied that the ruined pinnacle was a temple or community that worshipped Valstrax as a god, hence the temple with the comet symbol that's connected to a road leading to the Valstrax nest at the top of the great pillar.
It was a pleasant surprise to be sure!

Thats actually cannon in the manga
I was surprised that the Manga wasn't on the list. Myo Galuna is quite the interesting elder dragon. Not to mention that as the "Shining Dragon" it's title is suspiciously similar to the fan rumoured "Shining Blue Dragon" also known as the White Alatreon.

Great video, really enjoyed it
the video is awesome, good job!
I swear to God. I never heard about desire sensor but I always told my friends and my younger brother, who also play, that something like that exists.
Another theory to add to the iceberg is:
Monster Hunter Frontier happens years after the main series, because of how advanced technology is, explaining why the Tonfas and Magnetic Spike aren't weapons in the main series, and why you can fight the Six-Horned Fatalis (according to legends, this is the Fatalis that will bring the end of the world).
Good Bye.

Layer 5 made me realize i spent too much time in twilight princess' water temple
also know for a fact that my mhw experience was vastly different than my friends.
I really liked the video, commenting to help you with the UA-cam algorithm!
So Fatalis and Grigori are related? (Someone is bound to get my reference)

just something ive super noticed and havnt seen been talked about, the gaia dragon and equal dragon weapon look strikingly similar with the flat face, teeth, horns, and even the wings a lil bit just a bit of a theory given they are both concept art, weather theyre canon to lore or not maybe they were meant to be connected originally

Yeah. There is no ACozyGoji either
That desire sensor seems all too real. I seem to get rare materials really easily but always have a hell of a time getting common ones. Always annoyed me in a way.
Capcom said it was fake...
And that's just the nature of statistics...
@@emanueldeavilaolivera2030 I didn't think it would be a real thing but with my luck it just felt like it, y'know? Though I do appreciate the reply and all. Always love learning something new.
So are we just going to ignore the Monster Hunter Dynamic thing? Where tf did he get that sound?!?!
27:54 *HEY!* Metalgreymon shrinks when it digivolves to Wargreymon, and Wargreymon can throw a damn _sun_ vs Metal's missile barrage
It goes without saying that my grammar is shit, so if it made it hard to follow, then my bad.

Fatalis being haunted hunters falls pretty much in line with the lore of Dragon's Dogma, a Capcom game from the brother team of Monster Hunter (The dragon-type enemies there share Daora moveset and many weapon attack animations are the same from MH series)
Oh really? I never played Dragon's Dogma, so that's pretty cool
WHY THE HELL UA-cam NEVER RECOMMEND ME THIS UNTIL TODAY?!!!
Apparently the reason you only encounter Monoblos in solo is because it's endangered, and you're only authorized to hunt it if it's directly threatening a village. No requests come from the guild to take care of a Monoblos, only from locals, and thus you never get Monoblos hub quests.
Oh is that it? That's actually really neat.
This Video is such a Masterpiece but just 106 Subscribers is to small
I appreciate it. Just doing what I think is fun is all.
People who just hunt monsters have no idea the unnerving underbelly of these games
0:52 "fatalis is the final jiiva" i actually thought of something similar to this
I was wondering if jiiva was similar to the fatalis's in how it was said fatalis wiped out most of the old civilization (i think the old civilization was said to be mostly wiped out?)
If im correct jiiva is supposed to wipe out humanity due to hunters hunting a lot of monsters to near extinction in the old world if i can remember correctly
So the goal of the commission back in the old world was to go to the new world and instead of hunt monsters for new materials they were supposed to hunt when necessary to prevent monsters extinctions
So the monster hunter world when hunters were hunting monsters to extinction the world reacted and started forming jiiva as a solution
I was wondering if fatalis was the same as jiiva but after hearing more on fatalis's lore i started thinking of this
Fatalis, unlike jiiva as far as we know, is Unnatural and we don't even if fatalis (or i dont at least) even born or was created
Jiiva was born from other monsters energy (possibly the life force of nature and monsters themselves) which makes jiiva more natural and the opposite of fatalis
Fatalis is what I'd call a living curse... fatalis's armors and weapons all have dark descriptions of those that wear the armor have nightmares of what fatalis has done, they also hear voices of those fatalis has killed.
It could be that nature is making a sacrifice of that energy to wipe out something that nature see's as us being a Parasite that went out of hand but is now changing, which also makes the story of what will happen if it turns out something like this
What really makes me curious tho is that is fatalis truly Unnatural? Or are the stories just that, stories
Jiiva is capable of wiping the life force of the land around it and I'd say if it grew past its safi stage cpuld be capable of doing that to monsters which would kill them
What would that do to something like fatalis? If it doesnt do anything to fatalis that would mean fatalis is unnatural... and wasn't born from the earth itself
Im also curious if fatalis was the old civilizations way of actually stopping the jiiva's to
Was jiiva the original way the world wanted to wipe out the old civilization due to the exact same reasons? And so after they analyzed jiiva's back then they created something that had no life in itself to fight against jiiva?
I'd say safi'jiiva hasn't gotten to the capability of draining the life of monsters if its capable of it like that xeno'jiiva couldn't do the things safi did because it was still growing
I wonder if maybe the very final jiiva if there happens to be a 4th one after a 3rd thats grown to full capability might even be the end game to MH6 or the one after (or whenever)
The lore definitely adds even more to the games though. might start learning some of this stuff.
the desire sensor is real. I hunted 200 rathians in tri for the first plate to drop. I now know its movvements on instinct
Well, I got an anjanath plate the first time I hunted one in rise, and I wanted it then. GET DUNKED ON!
Even though the vocal articulation is sometimes a bit shaky and hard to understand, **it's a really good video**
I genuinely appreciate it, I do have some issues due to my stutter and/or speaking too fast, but I'm glad you liked the video. Cheers!
My personal headcanon is that adangers are baby gobuls.
i think the whole island continent of the new world is actually a long dead, massive zorah magdaros
We are the monsters
Reason: we wear fatalis armor
