My favorite, Spanish Colonial. I was surprised though to see the closet space in the bedrooms because that’s something that is usually sorely lacking in these homes. It’s a beautiful property with great attention to detail. I would sit in the mornings drinking my coffee and enjoy the mountain view. Absolutely lovely.
Edwin Wallace Neff (January 28, 1895 - June 8, 1982) was an architect based in Southern California and was largely responsible for developing the region's distinct architectural style referred to as "California" style. Neff was a student of architect Ralph Adams Cram and drew heavily from the architectural styles of both Spain and the Mediterranean as a whole, gaining extensive recognition from the number of celebrity commissions, notably Pickfair, the mansion belonging originally to Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. I am gobsmacked to borrow a phrase! If you can’t tell imma ol fart just turned 69! Craftsman, Victorian, many period homes are my love, due to character. This is a perfect design of spaces, where family members, boarders, or roommates can each ‘get away’ from others 🤭have a lot of privacy, snicker teehee 😝😁I’m an empath and this house was a home! Filled with love and laughter. Other than electric, and plumbing updates, I wouldn’t change a thing. I would custom redo all the windows but they would HAVE to be exact same look and design. I’d probably put back or in the Crystal doorknobs in places and drawer knobs. The brass looking doorknobs are GORGEOUS. I wish I could transport it! Thank you 🙏🏻🦋
i always love when a spanish colonial home has that teal color added to the doors or window frames on the outside! definitely prefer the stairs without the carpet. that restored fireplace is amazing! the backyard is so spacious and dreamyyyy. you can tell the house hasn't been changed too much from when it was originally built. the blue tiling on that upstairs bathroom is so GORGEOUS. i think the front living room is my favorite room though! another beautiful home :)
Very beautful home and love the landscaping. But I would renovate the interior as it has a a bit of a dated feel to it. But then again, I'm viewing it on the internet not in person which is a very different experience.
The only thing I would need to make that a nearly perfect home at that price would be a swimminy pool. You aren't close enough to the ocean to get the cool breezes, you are trapped in the San Gabriel Valley against the mountains where it gets very hot and little to no breeze except a hot breeze ot the very hot Santa Anas. If you are willing to live in either valley, Altadena, Sierra Madre, La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena are where you want to buy. Myself, I was born and raised about a mile from the beach near LAX. The Westside is still my choice but the prices are higher when you get near the ocean. That is a beautiful home and some people not from SoCal may think the price is expensive, it really is priced pretty reasonably for the house and location. I would love to own that house.
You have to pay for the best weather in the world. I own two just like this one purchased both 1973 for 25 thousand. And 28 thousand just sold one for two million 😊 and retired in the other -- happy retirement - yes - every day the weather is wonderful not hiding out because of the bugs-- we have none .-- Texas. Ugh - Arizona. Ugh -Nevada. Ugh - Florida.ugh and on and on . Happy I made a great investment , I wish I purchased more . The reason why every young person wants to live In California is we have. Only 30% MAGA HATE A great education system -- Enjoy the hot humid, nasty weather. People. No hating . lol ❤
@@feedtherich11I live 30 miles east of this house. Like you said. Perfect weather. No bugs.I designed and built my Tuscan home. Beautiful Mountain View’s.
Two immediate remodels: 1) Downstairs 3/4 Bath - would swap locations of the toilet and pedestal sink - very bad original design. 2) That “Second Living Room” is absurdly narrow, so I’d demo out the bar area and give that space to the Family Room.

Thanks for sharing! Yes Neff was on off the most prominent Golden era architects building more than 500 homes!

WOW! Gorgeous! Worth every penny. Thank you for posting. Really enjoyed this!
You think it’s worth 3 million dollars? Crazy.

Yes I love character homes too! I’m glad you enjoyed, I will have many more home tours of character homes to come!
Spectacular ❤
Very Nice.
Gorgeous and thank goodness it wasn't remuddled by "updating."
So true!
And notice the charming electrical wires just next to the house.

I also love it when so many original details are preserved!
Looks like east of Lake Avenue and Altadena Dr. Several in that area with that floor plan and design in this area.
The price is crazy
I absolutely love it I wish it was on acreage though, is there a place to horseback ride?
$3M house has $30k taxes in my state.
Who’s the genius who carpeted the stairs?

I would love to own that house.
Chinese buyer offered 10 million for sure.
No pool?
Almost three million dollars for a slightly larger than average house. Now I remember why I left California.
With the neighbors right on top of you!

@@mae_liii But one time a lady told me that size was very important
I wish more people would leave CA, especially all of these transplants.
😱
Way too pricey. If you can't find an investor, good luck.
It looks like the 90210 house. But I didn’t watch the show.

2.78 million 😂 😂 😂 😂 maybe the city can buy it and help the homeless out.
Very pretty. Too bad California is a disaster.
What a bargain..
Why so cheap😂😂😂
It sold for $300k over asking!
