They really did get it right with these wonderful Spanish Revival houses. One note of caution and I know it's stages: DON"T PUT A MIRROR over the bed in Southern California. I would definitely demolish the kitchen and redo as there is nothing original left to save. Other than that, I would put in a pool.

I get trying to save money, but its not a big kitchen, and therefore it should be updated to match how nice the rest of the house is. Kitchens and bathrooms are a big deal to buyers.

@@Androfier Out of control land prices is true. There are 40 million people in CA. And the state has lots of mountains and deserts and Federal land, so only a small portion of it is build-able. These were affordable homes when they were built 100 years ago. But cost aside, this shows how you can have a very comfortable layout in a modest footprint. Perhaps you can build one of these in New Mexico at a reasonable cost.
