Hi Railwayscenics. Many thanks for your nice comments. When I started the North Cornwall Brewery I thought I was just building another exhibition layout. Because it is what I have always done, I didn't realise it was anything special, but comments like yours make me feel that I have achieved something, which is quite humbling. We did win Best Layout In Show at Model Rail Scotland in 2023 so I guess I should have worked this out by now but all the same, you just always try and do your best. I'm still inspired by other people's modelling so I just hope that people go home and try to develop the skills like I have, over the past 60 years! If you want to see more, December 2024 Railway Modeller has some good shots too. Malcolm
@@Dagger2311 It's Slater's embossed Plastikard laid as complete sheets across the tracks. Railtops are marked with felt tip pen and this shows, on the reverse, where to cut it. The check rails are Evergreen plastic I beams painted to look like steel, superglued to the sleepers and then the Plastikard cut to fit in between them and glued to the beams with normal liquid cement. It's a long and tedious process! It also uses a vast amount of Plastikard but does allow you to continue the coursing across the tracks so looks right. And thanks for the nice comment.
A nice selection of layouts.
Very good keep up the good work. Have a good 2025.

Amazing layout! How did you make the cobblestones inset into the track?
