En esta competencia las únicas sorpresas fueron:
      - No ver a Higuchi en el podio
      - Ver ganar a Uno en lugar de Kagiyama.
Este mundial no fue exitante, ni competitivo en mi opinión con todo respeto.

I've seen Russian comments being all high and mighty about the lack of quads. Well let me tell you something : I don't give a damn about quads what I do value instead is good technique that will ensure those bright women a future in competition, their well being and their artistic capabilities. Don't give me no "it's like figure skating in the 80-90' ". How dare you. Maybe sacrificing young girls for quads is not worth it, maybe all your athletes having ED and broken limbs is not a good look... If that is the cost to have quads then we should not want it. :)))

Preach! I found it refreshing to see the top three being women with good overall technique. I don't mind the teenagers as long as they're being trained in a healthy manner. @@ChristineTheHippie exactly, although I have to say I love the Russians ladies, I respect their achievements. What I hate is the double standard I'm noticing in the fandom, people seem to not realize the implication of the success of the Eteri Tuberize method. The fact that they're the only ones doing it is self explanatory. Those girls are abused emotionally, they are pushed to a dangerous limit. You cannot expect that from countries who do not follow those "questionnable" methods. If they think it's "boring without quads" then they don't like this sport. It literally means they have no respect or regards for skaters of a lower level (like those who don't make the cut for the free program), that they cannot recognize the amount of work and passion they have.

The Eteri group skaters just exploit the scoring system. They may be the best under a system that overvalues jumps and undervalues everything else. But that doesn't make them the best skaters overall. They don't create any emotional response like some skaters from the past or even currently. No one was crying after Trusova's jump-fest. I think ladies figure skating is at cross-roads. Is it just an athletic contest or should artistry and excellent skating skills, spins and choreographic moves matter? For the men it is different. They are stronger and the best can do the difficult jumps and still excel in the other areas. Plus, there has always been a difference in artistry vs. athleticism between men's and women's skating. Also, the issue of Russian doping needs to be investigated and addressed. Was Valieva really the only one in her group who ingested a banned substance?

You can say whatever you want about their "emotionality", but they were the winners! and this is an indisputable fact! and they won solely because they were several times stronger than their competitors.

Part of the issue is the technique. The way Eteri's students jump put extra strain on their backs due to excessive prerotation. The judges shouldn't reward that because it’s not only poor technique, it's dangerous. That's why Eteri's students retire before 20.

But all of Russian star athletes are heavily supported by Kremlin, many of them actively support killing in Ukraine and it is not a secret that many of Russian athletes end up with high state positions as they retire from sports. So there are so many tight bonds between Kremlin and Russian sport. This plus the fact that you cannot treat agressor like “ nothin really has happened” makes this banning so right!

And agree, female skating without quads IS boring, it’s not because there’s no quads that it’s boring, it’s because it’s no longer pushing limits, sports aren’t fun when the athletes stay at the same level and don’t continue to improve and gain new skills. Especially in a sport like figure skating where it relies on trying new and harder things all the time, it’s boring to watch when the skaters ARENT doing new and exciting jumps and things and are just doing the same stuff skaters have been doing for many years.

It ’s a clean tournament without doping.
You can feel "the original goodness of sports",
With that in mind, I think the tournament without Russian players was a very meaningful tournament.
To be honest, Russia has always been a figure powerhouse and there are many wonderful players, but this tournament,
The possibility of medals for players from each country has increased because Russian players do not participate.
In particular, I think the girls who have just finished are very excited, contrary to Japan in 1st place, Belgium in 2nd place, and America in 3rd place.
    Belgium is the first podium!
