What made it special was that the fans felt like as big a part of the storyline as Bryan or the other wrestlers were. Think about what the main event was: Batista vs Orton for the title. A match literally nobody wanted except for Vince and a handful of idiots online who like to troll fans. While Daniel Bryan would have to wrestle…Sheamus. A yearlong buildup to being the hottest thing in wrestling, all leading to…Sheamus. 🤦♂️ This was the first time in decades of watching wrestling that I saw the fans stand up as one and tell Vince McMahon: “NO! Daniel Bryan is OUR guy! He deserves the main event of Wrestlemania, HE deserves to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion! And if you don’t give him what he deserves and what we want, there will be consequences!” And it worked. Between CM Punk leaving and the fans revolting, Vince had no choice but to give Daniel Bryan the amazing Wrestlemania he had, beating all three top members of Evolution and the entire Authority in one night with an injured shoulder to win the title in the main event of Wrestlemania. There’s never been anything like that before, and it set the table for Kofi Kingston’s historic championship win at Wrestlemania five years later. Almost every WWE fan at that time a Yes Moment fan and my god didn't triple H did his best to cash that momentum in the companies favour. Every single character was spot on.
Ultimately, Daniel Bryan's night at WrestleMania XXX ended up being what it was due to the three key reasons: 1. Batista failed push & Royal Rumble win 2. CM Punk's walkout 3. Daniel Bryan popularity increasing more and more as weeks and months went on CM Punk's walkout is important here not just because original plans had Triple H vs CM Punk. CM Punk's walkout is also important here because the only person in the WWE, at that point, that the fans would have accepted as walking out WMXXX as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion was CM Punk. Then again, there was the end of the Streak so that main event of Punk/Orton/Batista probably would not have brought the fans back into that show the way Bryan/Orton/Batista did.
I mean the movement forced a media giant to actively change their intended programming for literal weeks culminating in them forceing the match and outcome of the most important match (Main Event) at the most important show (Wrestlemania) with a guy, about 1.7m tall when they originally planned with one of the golden boys -Blue-Batista. DBry is just one heck of a persona and created one of the biggest pop and greatest feel good moments of all time, just by being *really good* at his job. It created a Wrestling Megastar.
Are you kidding? The fans are there just to get their way. Sometimes the shock, the surprise thrills them, but ultimately they want to see what they want. And what they want is the Ultimate Babyface beating the Ultimate Heel in the Final Showdown. And I ask you this, in the last 15 years, has there been a bigger Babyface vs Heel Showdown than Daniel Bryan vs The Authority? I think not. It's one of the most entertaining runs in WWE I have ever seen. The fans should ultimately always get what they want. That's the whole point of the business.
It was good, just the fans were so annoying during it. They wanted Bryan in the Rumble before they knew the story. It was obvious that he was going to be at Mania when he didn't enter the royal Rumble
That's what wwe wants you to believe. Daniel bryan revealed that he was supposed to face sheamus at wm30 and cm punk said the same thing. It took punk leaving and Batista getting rejected for bryan to have his moment. That's how petty Vince was... it took punk RETIRING and batista getting booed for him to finally give the people what they wanted. Wm30 would've been horrible had things worked out differently.
In terms of mid carders getting over, Bryan was my favorite! It all started with Team Hell No for me. Before that, he was a boring, generic wrestler. But as his beard grew, and he became the annoying little goat face, he became my favorite at that time. Cody is nothing compared to what Daniel Bryan was back then. Cody is boring, and I don't think he is nearly as over as Bryan was 10 years ago!
So why doesn’t anyone talk about how Daniel treated Colby like Triple H treated Daniel? They even told Colby he was a “B Plus Player” and nothing more, the same way Triple H dismissed Daniel. Kinda turned into a massive hypocrite.

I cried many times during this storyline living the ups and downs of Bryan !
Ultimately, Daniel Bryan's night at WrestleMania XXX ended up being what it was due to the three key reasons:
1. Batista failed push & Royal Rumble win
2. CM Punk's walkout
3. Daniel Bryan popularity increasing more and more as weeks and months went on
CM Punk's walkout is important here not just because original plans had Triple H vs CM Punk.
Never saw the draw with Bryan. Found him boring
This guy was that good of a babyface that he managed to look a returning Edge as a heel.
Best story of all time. It was awesome
I remember watching his whole run up until he got his championship & the whole Wrestlemania 30 crowd was screaming “YES!”
Good times
Bro that yes shit was crazy they would randomly scream yes in other ppl matches not including Bryan it was funny asl

i have to thank WWE for making Bryan Danielson more popular then he was before.
Triple h is one of the best heels of all time
Probably one of the best storylines in WWE history
I mean the movement forced a media giant to actively change their intended programming for literal weeks culminating in them forceing the match and outcome of the most important match (Main Event) at the most important show (Wrestlemania) with a guy, about 1.7m tall when they originally planned with one of the golden boys -Blue-Batista.
DBry is just one heck of a persona and created one of the biggest pop and greatest feel good moments of all time, just by being *really good* at his job.
It created a Wrestling Megastar.
Rating falls after wm casual fan don't care about db
Are you kidding? The fans are there just to get their way. Sometimes the shock, the surprise thrills them, but ultimately they want to see what they want. And what they want is the Ultimate Babyface beating the Ultimate Heel in the Final Showdown. And I ask you this, in the last 15 years, has there been a bigger Babyface vs Heel Showdown than Daniel Bryan vs The Authority? I think not. It's one of the most entertaining runs in WWE I have ever seen. The fans should ultimately always get what they want. That's the whole point of the business.
My First wrestlemania 30 prediction hell yeah it was good
Before I start the video, the yes movement was amazing
Team hell no was awesome
My thoughts exactly !
It was the loudest pop we've seen in years
Daniel Bryan was pretty cool.
I just realized that the old NXT videos from 2010-11 have more views on UA-cam than current NXT's tv ratings and youtube videos.
Nostalgia effect, same could be said of wrestling videos from previous years versus now
Plus, NXT has felt off since moving to USA Network
WrestleMania 30 was the best in have ever seen
In terms of mid carders getting over, Bryan was my favorite! It all started with Team Hell No for me. Before that, he was a boring, generic wrestler. But as his beard grew, and he became the annoying little goat face, he became my favorite at that time. Cody is nothing compared to what Daniel Bryan was back then. Cody is boring, and I don't think he is nearly as over as Bryan was 10 years ago!
My only problem is that they tried so hard to make this match be Benoit vs Shawn Michaels vs HHH 2.0.
they did the same thing last year
So why doesn’t anyone talk about how Daniel treated Colby like Triple H treated Daniel?
They even told Colby he was a “B Plus Player” and nothing more, the same way Triple H dismissed Daniel.
Kinda turned into a massive hypocrite.
